Wine ice cream… enough said! I had the chocolate Cabernet which was great. They let us sample several options and were patient and kind. They also have a drive through which was a nice surprise!

Well that was a big ol surprise. Fresh malted ice cream and they took my special request and blended in a fresh banana into my milkshake. Now that’s some great service! Don’t expect a TON of flavors here, pretty limited, but I like it that way, it means fresher ice cream!

Small town ice cream shop feeling… Big city clean. This place I top notch! The place is so clean I would eat off the floor. The owner is so nice and friendly, we ended up talking for about 20 minutes. As soon as we walked away from the table she was out there cleaning it. My husband told me he wanted to invite her for dinner. The soft serve is the prefect consistency. I go at least once a weekend. Thumbs up!

Possibly the cleanest place in Ulster County. There’s a drive thru and a walk up window and benches to sit surrounded by flowers if you choose to sit. The woman who runs it is very nice and told is the story of the place and how they put it all together. The ice cream was creamy and not icy or grainy.

We tried this place on Friday, July 7, and are happy to report the products we tasted were excellent. I had a cup of burgundy cherry ice cream and Charlotte had a soft-serve twist of chocolate and vanilla. Char Immediately declared the soft-serve to be superior to any other in the area; she gave me a taste and I agreed. It was creamy and had distinct vanilla and chocolate tastes. The ice cream had excellent consistency — «mouth feel,» as ice cream aficionados put it – and was also creamy and not overloaded with sugar, as too many ice creams are to hide deficiencies. We are less pleased to report that the non-product part of the operation was like too many Ulster County businesses. The service was unfriendly, without much of a greeting, not a single«thank you» for our order or our money. The order window was shut in our face as we decided our order, the server more interested in keeping the interior cool than interacting with first-time customers. Then there’s the business site. It’s an odd property, wedged between Quik Chek and Sawkill Road and you have to admire the creativity of the proprietors in trying to do something with the former house, if not the execution. The lot is too small and has only 4 – 5 parking spaces, which were filled when I arrived shortly after noon. So you park on the side of the dead-end road, from which you have to do a U-turn to leave. It’s about what one has come to expect from the town of Ulster«Planning» Board. The shop has no dining area, so you either place your order at a walk-up window or at a drive-thru. Despite this limiting arrangement, there is no seating area. So, once you’ve got your ice cream, you’re on your own — no seats, no shade. So, excellent product served with disinterest and no place to sit or park. Interesting business model.
