When I miss my hometown, it’s just because I want Joe Beez. Everything is great, but my favorite is the McDonough Stunna on a wrap with extra cheese and extra bacon. Other favorites are the CREAM, Godfather with American and mayo, buffalo bill and The RBK

Best place to get a sandwich! Unique and fun way of ordering. Everyone is always polite and friendly. Prices are great! Don’t change a thing!

Fun place that I visited yesterday for first time. They have a small amount of memorabilia, which is interesting, but not enough to take notice. Nice people work there and an amazing selection of food-something for everybody. Only concern was that there are alot of ingredients, the sandwiches were really not that big. Not small, but definitely not as big as I anticipated. Overall, worth the price of admission.

Friendly staff. Right priced food. Best breakfast sandwich in the area for under $ 5. My sandwich isn’t even on the menu… yet, but I can still order«the usual» and they know what it means. They will start you off on your way to having a large day.

Stopped by with my daughter on our way through Kingston and we had the best sandwiches ever. Highly recommended.

I was introduced to this place by my coworkers. We ordered lunch one day around 11:30 and calling in took us some time because the line was busy. Apparently they’re always busy which is a good sign. Their menu is online and has a ton of amazing sounding sandwiches. I had the bob-e-flay. It was really good. I need to try more sandwiches though. I don’t think one is enough to make a good judgement worth their menu.

You want a sandwich, this is the place to go. Sometimes there’s just too many sandwiches to choose from. We had a group anniversary catered with many types of sandwiches, worked out great!!!

When I was in college at SUNY New Paltz, I was introduced to Joe Beez on some random day that I decided to skip class. I can’t remember what class I skipped, but I do remember that my trip to Beez was SOWORTHIT. I’m all for a good sandwich, but these surpass that boring lunchtime label; these are masterpieces. When you walk into the shop, it can be somewhat overwhelming because their walls are covered in laminated signs, each with the name of a sandwich and a description. I first started going during my vegetarian days and would always order the Alice in Wonderland(Grilled mushroom, onions, peppers, muenster cheese, romaine, tomatoes and sweet vidalia dressing), which was always packed with ingredients for like six bucks. Since giving up on my veg ways, I’ve ordered a few really stellar Italians from there, but I also had to order their most famous sandwich, The Prodigy(Grilled chicken, bacon, hot sauce, BBQ sauce, cheddar and blue cheese). The owners seem very community minded as well, and I think that’s really important and special in small business, especially ones that receive the amount of attention and support that Joe Beez does. Along with the menu items, their walls are covered in old photos, little pieces of memorabilia and little notes and things from customers. There always seems to be a rotating crew of regulars in the shop and the staff is so friendly and welcoming that they make you feel like one of their regulars. As others have mentioned, they do have limited seating, but their food is so good that it really shouldn’t be a deterrent.

I live several blocks from Joe Beez and have gotten sandwiches at numerous delis and only Joe Beez has been amazing every single time. This is my go to deli.

Classic college town feel. Fantastic selection and great prices. One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in the area and would totally go back again. So many options that I HAVE to go back to try more

I don’t know what to say about this place that hasn’t already been said. Just go here if you haven’t already. Endless options, and whatever is not on the wall, they’ll make for you. The most popular sandwich is The Prodigy, but don’t be afraid to stray and try one of the more obscure picks. You will certainly leave satisfied. I have yet to try any of their breakfast options, but I’m sure they’re as good as the rest.

Joe Bees should be on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. It’s very popular with the high school set. It’s also freaking delicious. I was working in Kingston and the whole office decided to order. There are a LOT of subs/wraps/burgers with clever names… apparently they have a sandwich contest every year? Anyway, I got the Bob-E Flay wrap, which had chicken salad, bacon, pepperoni and chipotle ranch, I think some vegetation??? It was delicious. Good sized and like, $ 8. Can’t beat it! I didn’t go to pick up the food, but from what I hear it’s on the«dive-y» end of Diners, Drive Ins and Dives… whatever. Food’s great.

Omg the best hoagies in Kingston ! I wanted a Italian sub and my bf said joe beez. Well as others said it has a large selection hanging on the walls, as well as will make changes on request without a blink. Good music too think easy alt top 40. I got a godfather and they had it in my hands in about a minute. So tasty and not hungry after this for sure. They do have a counter to the side with chairs and stools to eat there on this cold snowy day. The review saying no where to sit needs to come back. Do yourself a favor and try this place. On street parking is metered, go around the block and entrance to municipal lot located next to them is there.

Great sandwiches and a million choices. Would be 5 stars, but they don’t have any place to sit. Now it’s a cold NY day, you are visiting Kingston, and you would love to have a Joe Beez sandwich. So where do you eat it? In your car? These are not little McDonalds hamburgers. These are big messy Joe Beez sandwiches. So, you go somewhere warm where you can sit at a table and enjoy your meal. Can’t count the number of times we’ve thought we would go there and then remember that there is no place to eat. Summer is ok. Drive 5 minutes down to the Roundout and sit at a picnic table. Cold weather, forget it.

Joe Beez has been my favorite place to eat in Kingston since I started going in 2003… it started out with amazing bacon, egg and cheeses at first then I finally dove into the rest of the menu shortly after. So many tasty sandwhiches, you’ll definitely find one that appeals to you! I love the duke and the JRS-1 personally. It’s a great place to hang out as the staff is super friendly! If your in Kingston you have to go here!

Went for the first time. Lots of highschoolers come here for lunch. Not crazy expensive, 8 $ for a huge sandwich, soda, and mac salad. Wish the bread wasn’t so soft it was delicious but so messy to eat! Hot sauce and barbecue mix was fantastic though. Definitely want to go back, so many choices! Very friendly service.

First, the disclaimer. I have wanted to try this place ever since they started donating chicken bits to The Queens Galley Soup kitchen where I work. By chicken bits I mean the bits of fresh chicken that are left after chicken has been taken off the bone and trimmed to form uniform pieces. Ususally a sign of a kitchen that cares about quality. I finally siezed the moment about two weeks ago, it was late and I was headed home and REALLY hungry. There was a parking spot right out front(I took this as a karmic invite). Even though they were about ten minutes before closing I was greeted with a smile and felt reassured that I could order anything off the menu(even though the grill had obviously just been scrubbed to within an inch of its life). First: Whoooaaaa… the menu ! For a sandwich place these guys sure know how to put ingredients together in creative ways. In handwritten placards on all of the walls are the sandwiches with names as creative as the construction(my head still reels from the chicken combinations alone!). I knew that I was getting some sort of chicken sandwich(homage to the soup kitchen) and soup. I like soup. Actually, I am a soup snob. Many places in Kingston make sub par soup. I had the Cream of Broccoli. Let’s just say the chicken sandwich was great. If the soup maker at Joe Beez reads this I hope that they don’t take it personally but please, please don’t be so mean to broccoli ever again. Cook it gently! When a cruciferous veg cooks too long it breaks down in very specific ways(by the way you CAN use that to your advantage… but that’s another dish and another post). Make your veloute, gently cook the broccoli and then purée it to the consistancy you want. It should be various shades of ivory/bright green NOT army olive drab. Cream of Broccoli is not a steam table friendly soup. Hold it in small batches so it doesn’t over cook. Back to the chicken. Bravo. Moist, tender, appropriately sauced and just the right amount of cheese(I had the chicken parm special). I’m looking forward to another visit, and to try a different soup. They make it from scratch and that says something about them to begin with. Maybe next time it will be a chicken soup :) Good food, good value, nice people.
