Worst wings ever put a lil meat on them and hot sauce was just Tabasco sauce n grease yukkkkkk.

Wouldn’t go back. Average quality food served in average circumstances that left us feeling less than average — in fact, a bit bleurgh. The vibe was slightly odd — staff seemed like decent people wanting to do a good job, but utterly bored out of their minds(it was a weekday mid afternoon). Sadly we regretted stopping by.

After an afternoon of driving and some light sight seeing, it was time for dinner as I was passing through Kingston. I had been to the Planet Wings location in Poughkeepsie, so I decided to have dinner at the Kingston location. It was a Sunday evening, and I was the only person in the restaurant, other than the cook and the cashier. Planet Wings is a self-service kind of place, put in your order at the counter and wait for your order to be served. They do have an overhead monitor that shows the menu, but I’m not sure if it was the complete menu(or it is possible that they may keep a limited menu on Sunday nights). As for the food itself, Planet Wings has a selection of burgers, sandwiches, Mexican food and, of course, chicken wings. I decided to order a Philly cheesesteak and a small order of sweet and sour wings, along with a drink from their cooler. While the food was greasy, it was tasty enough to satisfy my hunger.

I expected more– i.e. better wings. The wings were small, fattier than i prefer, not too crispy(though the crispiness could have been ruined by the heavy wing-sauce, which had more weight than flavor.) Not AWFUL, just ok. During my consumption of PW wings, I was thinking about how badly i wished for wings from Buffalo Wild Wings.

Planet Wings is a small chain around the Kingston/Poughkeepsie area. Not sure if they expand anywhere else. They cook up a pretty tasty wing and have a variety of sauces. These aren’t jumbo chicken wings but you get a good bang for your cluck, i mean buck. Nice and crispy and slathered in sauce. The Hot sauce has a nice kick to it, and after 15 wings I was still feeling pretty good. No upset stomachs here. If you are in the area I would def. recommend. Much better than Buffalo Wild Wings and other chains.
