Cecilia’s Alterations and Tailoring

The name of this business needs to be updated to Lynne Tailoring — it changed hands awhile back. Wonderful service, and my garments are always taken care of!

My wife bought a wedding gown and took it here to get it altered. She was not very friendly and she just wanted to make sure that it was done right because she spent a lot of money on the dress. She assured her that it would be done right. She went back to make sure that it fit correctly and showed up 20 minutes early and Cecilia gave her an attitude that the appointment wasn’t for 20 minutes even though there was nobody else there. She tried on the dress and there were a few things that she didn’t like. She brought in the sides of the bust area more on one side than the other and made the dress fit crooked. Also, she shortened the dress because it was too long and didn’t put back all the lace and beads that were on the dress. My wife didn’t complain about the lace and beads because the wedding day was so close. But Cecilia tried to convince her (also with her attitude) that it was perfect and that it wasn’t crooked. Anyways she left the gown there again and she fixed the crooked part. It still looked beautiful in the end but I wouldn’t recommend her.

If your looking for a place that is reasonable to have something altered … I HIGHLY suggest you go see Cecilia. She is not only the sweetest lady you will ever meet, but she knows what she is doing. I recently moved to the area and had no idea where to take a bridesmaid dress… after several recommendations I have a beautiful dress that fits perfectly! I could have taking this dress back to Davids Bridal but the customer service is not up to par… She will blow you away by her appreciation for having your business which will leave you even more pleased.

Cecilia is a wonderful seamstress. She has altered two dresses for me. First a cocktail dress with a lace overlay. She took it in without even knowing it had been altered. It was really well done.
She is currently altering my wedding dress. She is so skilled. She is easy to get along with and really knows her stuff. She’s also flexible since I don’t live in Kingwood anymore.
She also is VERY affordable! I will take my bridesmaids to her for their dresses too!

I’m pretty sure this place doesn’t exist. I just spent 30 minutes trying to find it.
