G&S Tire and Auto

I don’t know why I kept forgetting to review this place, I certainly visited them enough in the year and a half I lived in Kingwood! A friend recommended these guys when my car battery was dead in the water and I was stranded at home. I called them up and they sent someone out to jump start my car, and then I followed to the shop. I wound up needed a new battery, but they were quick to replace it and didn’t even charge me for coming to my house!
I have a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee diesel, and had it in on more than one occasion for repairs. It’s hard to find a place that works on diesels. I had some major work done, and it was in the shop for 3 weeks. There were some issues and they had to redo some of the repairs, but they never charged me more than quoted and they made sure my car was working properly before letting me pick it up. I think they even wound up having to take it to their sister shop in Humble where they have a master certified diesel technician — but again no additional out of pocket expense to me.
On more than one occasion I stopped by to have them check things out and they fixed my car for no charge (nails in my tire, plastic under car piece broken and dragging, etc).
Craig and Jose are great guys who are honest and fair, and that is such a rarity to find in a mechanic. If I hadn’t moved 1500 miles away, I’d still be using them — but that’s a bit far to go for car repair LOL.

I walked in and was greeted by the manager who was friendly. The owner, Craig, if I’m not mistaken, introduced himself and made me feel welcome.
These guys provided top notch customer service. The quotes for labor and parts were fairly prices. They were honest in outlining what my car needed. Trust and honesty are the most important things when it comes to mechanics.
They were a bit backlogged so it took longer than I expected but all-​in-​all I had no complaints. I will be returning again.

I’ll make this quick. My kids car had a screw in the tire. These guys are Nice, Fair, Professional, and Fast.
No exaggeration. They were done in 15 minutes and it cost me $ 15. You can’t ask for more from an auto repair service than what you get from these guys. Very high quality shop.

Went there today to have my vehicles checked. Prompt service. I was surprised they did not charge for a minor repair. Would come back for sure. Happy costumer here.

Good customer service. Polite and considerate. Offered us water and checked on us frequently. Consulted with us in the waiting room and gave us an exact price after we decided what we wanted. Waited for us to approve before starting on the car. I like that because there will be no misunderstandings. Practically no customers here on a Monday morning. Small and simple waiting room. Coffee, magazines and TV. $ 60 for and oil change and an air filter.

Been here a few times. Oil change, tire purchase, and unfortunate two times tire flat repair. Good service all the time! They specialize on both: European and Japanese cars. Since I own both, I always bring the cars in for service at G&S Tire and Auto. Family own business. The wait is a little too long but, I do trust the mechanics.

This is a great place! My brakes have been squealing so I decided to come here because of the reviews on Unilocal.They told me my brakes were fine and I didn’t need to do anything at this time. They COULD have taken advantage of a female not knowing any different and instead checked all my fluids and told me not to waste my money on something I didn’t need. Thank you!!!

A good, honest, reliable, reasonably priced mechanic in the Kingwood, TX area is hard to find. Most try to highball you on the price, fix more than is necessary or just flat out lie to you.
Until I found G&S, my estimation of mechanics in the Kingwood area was pretty low. G&S changed all of that. They quoted me a price for brake work at half of everyone else, fixed only what I needed and even did some in house custom work on an old truck that was hard to find parts for. They have a regular customer in me.
Go to G&S before you trust the other so-​called «mechanics» in the area!

Craig & his guys are the best! Always courteous, always fast & most importantly, always cost-​effective. I really appreciate a place with integrity in this line of work. This is the place to go to for tires, oil changes & all your auto repair needs. Go see them, you’ll be glad you did.

This place is awesome!!! I thought my brakes were acting up, so I took my car here on a recommendation. Craig (the owner) made sure everything was good with the brakes. This business will always do my car repairs!

I called a few places for the same work, and he had the best price of any of the 6 or 8 shops down Northpark.
Not only do they have great prices, they also seem to be more trustworthy than your normal car shop guys.
