The kolches and donuts are tasty and best around! However, the Mexican lady there is just rude. We have visited this place about once or twice a week at least. Same lady, same poor attitude. She doesn’t greet, no smile, nothing. She is usually sitting in her chair and just stares at you until you are ready to order. Then she catches another attitude when you make an order and pays. TERRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. My son loves getting breakfast here, but after allowing him to witness this kind of interaction multiple times we have decided to not frequent this donut shop anymore. The lady you have employed is lazy, rude and needs to have an attitude adjustment.

Why isn’t «doughnut» a common fragrance? Because it’s one of my favorite smells in the world. Walking into Shipley in the morning to a bunch of freshly-baked doughnuts is a good thing. There isn’t anything particularly special about this Shipley, but what they do, they do well. They have a good selection of doughnuts. They’re friendly. They keep the place clean. It’s doughnuts. And they’re good. What else need be said?

Friday afternoon about 2. Out of donut holes? It’s balls of fried dough people! Still have donuts but no donut holes. Doesn’t make sense. Bad business. Maybe the employees are just lazy and don’t want to make anymore.

I’ve been out of state and oh how I’ve missed you! These are the best donuts in Houston! Chocolate filled are my all time fav and the kolaches are great too, but there’s nothing like a hot plain glazed in the morning!!!

This location was clean and simply decorated/furnished. This place’s goal is to sell doughnuts and they take a pretty no-muss, no-fuss approach. The women working the counter were nice and greeted me kindly. I ordered an 18 count of mixed doughnuts. They whipped up my order into boxes and had it all bagged up in about two minutes flat. The price was reasonable, about $ 11. There was an issue that the woman ringing me out typed the amount in wrong and charged me $ 18 instead. She apologized profusely and gave me the difference back in cash. I didn’t really mind, but I hope that’s not the kind of mistake they make often. The doughnuts themselves were fresh and there were many different varieties. They were packaged nicely with wax paper and in well-constructed boxes. Plus, they were delicious :)

this place claims to stay open until 6pm, however, not one time have they been open after I get off work at 5 and when I stop by before work, the donuts are always cold.

If they could step up their kolache game they would earn that 4th star, but with Kolache house just down the street I’m not too confident… As far as doughnuts go though they are really quite good — just be sure to order them Hot! As a cold doughnut I would just say average. Also, like some of the people here early in the morning, it looks like they haven’t changed anything in 20+ years… though I’m not saying that’s a bad thing.

I was craving donuts and got up early to get hot gooey glazed donuts. I really expected at 5:30am I would have gotten that. I was so disappointed when my husband and I went through the drive through and ordered donuts. They were cold:(at that time, that early, the donuts shouldn’t have been cold!

If you want a donut in Kingwood, this is your best bet. Plus, I can’t beat the location since it’s only 2 miles from my house. The donuts, donut holes, bear claws, cinnamon rolls, etc. are always fresh and yummy. The kolaches are pretty doggone good too. I like mine with sausage, cheese, and jalapenos. Service-wise the people are on the ball. At peak times there counter is lined with help so there is hardly a wait if at all. I’m usually in and out within 3 minutes. It’s not the best donut I’ve ever had but, like I said, it’s your best bet in Kingwood.

Oh thank god this place is not near my house! Delish Delish Delish. I am not a huge doughnut fan but I have been known to make a stop at Krispy crème here and there. If you are not interested in packing on 5 lbs from delish doughnut holes then stay away! Any self control will be checked at the door.

I LOVE fried dough, but my love is selective. Krispy Kreme. No thank you. Grocery store donuts. Never. Dunkin’ Donuts. Always promising. Shipleys donuts. HELLO. I started my Saturday morning in Houston to a box of glazed happiness from Shipley’s. Open the box, steam rises, glaze is pooling to the bottom of the container. First bite. Instant happy. Fresh, warm, dense yet light… this is what a glazed donut should be. I’m sorry Dunkin, but I’ve got a new love in Houston.

Even though I’m not a big fan of donuts, I think this place is A-ok. The glaze flakes off their do nuts… and that’s the way it should be, I think. Their kolaches need work. A traditional kolache is filled with fruit, but I kind of knew a kolache here meant pig in a blanket. Luckly, I’m a huge fan of ham, cheese, and sausage. The meat is a overcooked & tough, but that doesn’t keep me from eating them.
