Companies that use contractors instead of employees have no incentive to hire decent human beings.

I have lived in Kingwood for over 20 years and no matter what the sign says on the building, the service is worse than bad. I work out of my home and have to wait for emails to send and receive. I can’t imagine having a business is this community and managing a work load. They always say it may be your router or other equipment. Nope — it is the service. The random calls about adding services — I don’t even like the service that I get why would I want to add more? If internet is important to you and you are considering living in Kingwood, move across the bridge and enjoy Comcast and lower water bills.

Unfortunately sudden link (corporate) will make you absolutely hate everything about suddenlink. They give your phone number to everyone and they never stop calling you. Just give me the internet I’m paying you for and leave me alone! NO I don’t want to bundle anything. NO I don’t want to upgrade anything. NO I don’t want auto pay. Stop calling me!

Worst service ever. I pay $ 60 a month to have internet service that crashes nearly every day at 6pm and 9pm. Sometimes even more often. I have to spend 30 min or more per day on the phone while they have me troubleshoot, and they can’t figure out the problem. Unfortunately they have a monopoly and they know that they can get away with it. I am contacting the BBB. If you have any other option don’t use suddenlink.

I’m torn between my observations of the Internet services and the service at the branch office. I’ll start with the outstanding service I receive at the office. Everyone there is always courteous and my issue is resolved to my satisfaction. Now for the cons. The area where I live does not have much choices when it comes to Internet. If we did, I would be an ex-​customer a long time ago. Terrible service, numerous service calls. After so many service requests I have learned they hire contract technician such as cable installers, etc. Now I refuse to have service by anyone other than a senior service technician that works directly for suddenlink. It has helped out some

I get this notification from suddenlink that I have too much of the internet that I pay for and they are cutting me off, if these guysvdidnt have a practical Monopoly in my area I would switch in a heart beat. imagine! ur water company decides ur taking too many bathes so they are gonna charge ur more for that water than the other water u use!

I have two choices for internet at my current address, Suddenlink and HughesNet, both of which are absolutely terrible, but Suddenlink is the lesser of the two evils.
After my installation fiasco, awful TV reception, lack of channels, and fraudulent sale, I decided to cancel cable TV services but keep my internet service. I had my cable services disconnected about two or three days after getting it and had my installation fee credited back to my account. My services were connected on a Thursday, and by Tuesday, I was on the phone with customer service, canceling my TV service. I was told my TV would be off by the next day, Friday, and was scheduled for an equipment pickup for those fossils they call cable boxes.
I was unexpectedly called into work on Friday, so I planned on calling Suddenlink when I got home from work that evening to reschedule an equipment pickup date. When I got home, my internet wasn’t working. I called Suddenlink and asked if they had disconnected my internet service and was told that it had to be the modem (that they had provided), because they were showing my internet account as active. So I went to the store and bought a brand new modem. I had been meaning to anyway, and I could give Suddenlink back their modem that they were going to be charging me around $ 8 a month for. I got home, plugged up the new modem, and still nothing. I called again and asked if they were *sure* my internet service wasn’t canceled. No, no, it’s something on the hardware end, I was assured. We will send a tech out to look at it, they said. Oh, and by the way, techs don’t come out on the weekends, so you will have to wait until Monday before you have internet service.
Monday, the tech comes out. He didn’t have to repair anything though, because he somehow already knew that my internet service wasn’t active. He turned it back on with one phone call. When I asked about it, he told me that the customer service end will show someone as an active customer even when they aren’t. Huh?
I’m not very happy with Suddenlink. The internet moves very slowly sometimes, and service goes down periodically for no reason.

I really loathe switching to SuddenLink. Their customer service is TERRIBLE. Twice now I have trouble. First, I needed to relocate a cable modem and was told that it would be covered under the cable maintenance plan I was paying extra for. Then when the Tech arrived, he said he as not an Installer; and would not move it. He said I needed to reschdule and pay extra for that ‘service’. Second, I ordered the Texas A&M and Alabama football game on PPV. Before the game, I called their tech support to complain about the picture not being in HD. They told me they would reboot the cable box to fix it; but they didn’t reboot it. I called back right after the beginning of the game; they said the same thing and again did nothing. Then, I called back at half time. This time they told me it was not being offered in HD; and it was too late to cancel. Then I called Customer Service, who said there was nothing they would do. I am now switching from these jokers and filing a complaint with the BBB.

God help you if you ever need customer service.
If you have no choice but to use Suddenlink, here’s some advice:
1. Watch your bills like a hawk
2. DONT use auto pay. When they accidentally over charge your account, it is much harder to get your money back.
2. If they offer to call you back later, they won’t
3. Find a new service provider asap.
We decided to cancel Suddenlink because of their awful service. Instead we get over-​the-​air channels and use satellite internet. It’s a lot less expensive and causes fewer headaches.
