All About Cats

I have a cat who has a gentle temperament right up until we go to the vet. She has scratched, bitten, and even spat at vets out of fear. I talked to the All About Cats staff about this before our first appointment. They were ready for her as soon as we walked in the door. They took time to help her calm down, and to keep her calm throughout the exam. It was a relief to see her not panic and get so scared that she felt she needed to defend herself. There were a few growls here and there to let everyone know she was annoyed, but even that subsided after a few minutes. It helps that Dr Lester and his staff are so knowledgeable about cat behavior. Throughout the exam they were aware of her stress level and took the time to comfort her when needed. In the past I’ve had vets who try to speed through the exam because she’s stressed and defensive, or they try to force her to corporate by manhandling her. This may work with other animals, but it doesn’t with cats, and All About Cats understands that.
On a side note. When I took my second cat in for her first exam she decided to mark Dr. Lester as hers by rubbing against his legs. At one point she even made love eyes at him. I was amazed, ‘ve never seen a cat do this before to their vet.

We’ve dealt with several vets as we have adopted kitties from the MEOW shelter, and I have to say that Dr. Lester is simply the best we’ve ever seen. Instead of the big, fancy clinic with rotating vets, he runs a small, family operation like the kind of vet I remember from my younger days, and you can see that he and the staff truly care about your cats the same way you do. We had adopted a kitten with urinary issues that he had done surgery on (for free, for the shelter) and that’s how we encountered him. He provided excellent follow up care, taught us a lot about dealing with cats with urinary problems, and really made adopting a kitty with special needs as easy as it could be. You can tell his staff loves each and every cat they see, and I’ve never seen cats as at ease with a vet before. His prices are very fair, service and hours are great, and we expect to see him taking care of our pair for a long time to come.

This is the nicest, friendliest hospital I have ever been in! As a former vet tech, I am pretty picky about where I take my cats. The facility itself is gorgeous and clean, as well as quiet and relaxing to help the cats from getting too anxious. The doctor is the most caring veterinarian I have ever met, and the staff is very sweet and helpful. Dr. Lester is very detailed and thorough when describing things, and has even taken the time to call and check up on my cat. I am really grateful that I found All About Cats, I completely trust them with the health of my 2 fur babies.

He is the total package: compassionate, pragmatic, funny, and an extremely good veterinarian. Dr. Lester spends real time with you. He thoroughly explains all the options and puts the needs of your pet first.
All in all, our experiences have been universally superb. Please bring your cats to him. In a world of clinics who gouge you or pop-​up-​McDonalds-​like chain clinics, a place like this — with a doctor who authentically cares — deserves to be successful.

We have had cats as part of our family for over 30 years. Without question Dr. Lester is the best veterinarian we have ever had care for our cats. Our cats were his patients for many years at his practice in Shoreline and are now his patients at All About Cats. His medical expertise is top notch, he is always gentle and caring with our cats and without fail he takes abundant time to speak with us about any issues they face.

My cats had the privilege of being the first two patients at the hospital. Dr. Lester is very experienced and he explained everything very clearly. The cats are usually very skittish around new people but they were surprisingly calm with this doctor. The staff was very friendly, and their prices are reasonable. The location is perfect, as they are next door to a cat store with boarding. This is my new cat corner!
