I mean, where do I begin? First off, I didn’t exactly pick Baker Siding as we had just purchased a home and part of the closing agreement was to have the recalled siding replaced. Baker Siding Pros was actually selected by the seller, but since the windows were old, it was suggested that we just have him do our windows as well since it would be easier that way. It sort of pains me to write a review like this because in my view, 1-star ratings are even more«special» than 5-star ratings and Jamie himself is a very nice guy. However, someone who is in this industry tends to be a people-person so «nice guy» only gets you so far. Anyway, work on this project started at the end of October 2013 and the final work was finally completed mid June 2014. That’s right, eight(8) months! To add insult to it all, we had a remodel done during this period and one of the contractors who went to bid on our project was present while Jamie’s team was working one day. They asked him how he was doing the windows(some technical thing that I didn’t understand) and when Jamie answered, the contractor said«You’re not doing blah blah?» The contractor then turned to me and said that if he were doing it, he’d do it some other way. I didn’t give it much thought because it could have been just the contractor showing off, however we ended up going with a different contractor for the project and during the project, they had to reinstall two of the windows because they said that they were installed incorrectly — which of course was not free. Jamie’s schedule started to slip the moment he started work and I suspected that I had made a mistake when we had to extend our closing date because he still had not finished the siding. Everything was always set to be done in «two days», but you’d drive by and nothing had changed. Since replacing the siding was specified in the purchase contract, the bank would not sign off on the sale until it was done. Even after the siding completed, things continued to go downhill with the painting and windows. We contacted him numerous times to let him know that the ample time that he had was shrinking rapidly, but it had no effect. But like I said, Jamie himself is a nice guy and as a fairly new father, I truly wish him the best. But for the love of God, do not get your siding and windows done by Jamie. A couple days ago I sent him the money for the final invoice and my bank immediately sent me a text asking me if I had meant to send this amount to Baker Siding Pros. Even my bank is rubbing it in…
