Very good experience at Beach Café(Not to be confused with The Beachhouse Restaurant a block down the road). The views are amazing out on the patio, it practically feels like you are on the water. The menu is on the small side but it looks like they rotate the menu based on season. I had the weekly special which was ancho chile rubbed baby back ribs with a sweat potato stir fry. It was DELICIOUS! One of the best dishes I have had since moving to the Seattle area. I also tried the chocolate mousse, also amazing and I would highly recommend. Service was pretty good but our waitress could not remember any of the specials or what beer they had on tap. I just figured maybe she was having an off day. Overall good experience. I would definitely come back for the food and views.

Disappointed. Went for fish and chips. The fish was overdone, the French fries were no better than frozen right out of the bag. A few steak fries would be better. My wife ordered a type of chicken bowl. Very little chicken, mostly greens. Overall not a good meal.

Great view, really good food, nice vibe. This is an upscale restaurant right on the water and prices reflect that. Would be nice if they offered a few more vegetarian options and a slightly larger lunch menu.

This place is fine if you’re staying at the Woodmark Hotel, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here… The food is decent, but not a whole lot of variety. Also, not much for the celiac crowd, although they do appear to have a decent dessert mu that is gluten free. Odd. We had some not so great service, and it didn’t seem like anyone knew what they were doing. Our waitress told me they were out of the vodka that I ordered, but couldn’t tell me what other vodkas they had. I also asked. If they had any local brands that might be fun to try, and again, she said«I do t know, I don’t think so.» So instead of upping my tab a bit, and her tip, I drank water. That’s a successful training program they must have for their waitstaff… My burger was done a little raw. However, the waitress never did ask how li wanted it done. I would have sent it back, but we didn’t see her for a long time after she took our order(she was not the one who brought out the food). It was a meal. Sorry to say, it was less than average.

+1 star for view… even though it’s almost impossible to get outdoor seating(good luck!) +1 star for overall ambiance Aside from the look and feel of this place unfortunately that’s where the buck stops. I get that this place gets quite busy as it’s located within a hotel area and apparently has a decent happy hour… but wow… left very unimpressed. We came here due to a Groupon and was excited to try but felt it was lacking. Staff — while standing at the hostess desk it took them awhile to acknowledge us. No «I’ll be right with you» or «just a moment» they just continued with whatever task they were doing. Even another gal came up to the hostess and was chatting with her… still no recognition. It wasn’t until a third person came up to the hostess stand and decided to greet us. While we had a reservation we were still seated in an awkward area against a wall where we were blocked from viewing the outside. Our server was sadly über slow. She would pass us and smile but not stop. Again, I understand when the restaurant is busy the service can slow but this was just beyond. It was around 20 minutes before our order was even taken. 40 min to receive food. Another 20 after we were finished before a check came. I told her upon arrival we had a groupon… then when we asked for the check mentioned it again… third times the charm? Finally got her to stop long enough to take the coupon so the check could be adjusted. Food — Expensive for what you get. Both of us ordered a burger which were average but for $ 16(not including bacon or other add ons) was a bit steep when there was nothing special about it. The sweet potato fries I enjoyed. My iced tea was refreshing. Overall however… MEH. Not sure if I would come back here any time soon.

View, view, view, and… view! Worth the wait to snag a patio spot. Tuna burger sounds weird but was outstanding…

Went to lunch here and my order was fine but my friends was not. Asked for a plan. Hamburger with nothing on it and came back twice wrong. Even did not offer to buy the meal. Left without eating. Really bad expereince.

Beach Café was the first visit today. I was surprised very surprised. The café was too beautiful lake washington right in front of you. Too it was like figure. There was a café you in position! The staff was so friendly even good. Despite eating dinner guests and two hours passed since the end of the restaurant and was impressed that as a big consideration for us. Forward planning is often used here.

We were up from Portland for a surprise birthday weekend for my boyfriend. Our hotel and room at the Woodmark were beautiful. We ate at the Beach Café and were seated immediately. The food was great and so was the service. Our waiter was prompt and attentive. The food was yummy and very well priced. I was very excited to be able to meet the manager Naja. She had arranged to have a birthday surprise in our hotel room waiting for us when we arrived! She and her staff went above and beyond to make my boyfriends birthday special! There were 2 gourmet cupcakes, a bottle of wine and a happy birthday wish written in chocolate! My boyfriend was thrilled! The Beach Café has a wonderful ambiance. The staff and atmosphere was perfect! I would absolutely dine there again!

Great view nice service, but the food was just ok… We got there at 12 on a Sunday and there was not a brunch menu!?! We practically had to beg for a mimosa. Which even thought the online menu says $ 7.00, it was actually $ 9.00 was that the up charge for asking for a mimosa after 12?! Anyway, it was a nice view and nice weather so overall I had a great time. Don’t think I’ll make an effort to come out here again for brunch/lunch

We’ve walked out of the Beach Café at least three times now, for the exact same reason(clearly we are fools for giving them so many chances!). As this is a reoccurring problem, they’ve earned themselves the famous 1 star review. That’s actually quite difficult to achieve for a restaurant with reasonable food/prices and a lake view! Good work guys! There have been multiple occasions where it’s a sunny weekend and my wife and I decide to stop by the Beach Café because they have outdoor seating and a lake view. On the way into the restaurant, we usually pass by the outside patio and see MULTIPLE empty tables… and yet when we talk to the hostess we are told that we can only sit inside because there is a huge wait list for the outdoor seating. Er… what? Today(4÷3÷2016 around 2pm) was no exception. It was a beautiful sunny day and we walked past the Beach Café patio and saw that there was only ONE table taken outside. There were at least 4 – 5VACANT tables waiting to be cleared. We went into the restaurant and asked for a table for two outside and were told that the there were already other people waiting for outdoor seating and that they had been waiting almost an hour(so we should expect an hour wait too). Firstly, if I was those people then I’d be be very annoyed to see so many empty tables outside while I have been waiting 1 hour to be seated. Secondly, there was no sign anywhere in the restaurant or outside of people waiting for tables(maybe they all gave up?). Thirdly, even if there were other people waiting for the outside tables… THEPATIOISALMOSTEMPTYPEOPLE! Rather than sitting around for 1 hour, staring at the empty tables wondering why we aren’t being sat… we just turned around and went to another restaurant(there are plenty of other great choices nearby). On the way out, I took a photo of one area of the empty patio so that I could share it along with this review. Please check it out in the photos section, it’s hilarious :) I promise you that the rest of the patio was just as empty. Either the hostesses don’t actually go outside to check if tables are free(they never do when we ask) or there is some other nonsense going on and they don’t actually want people sitting outside. Whatever the excuse is, I’m beyond caring now and won’t be going back. There are plenty of nice restaurants with outdoor seating and lake views that actually provide customer service and don’t mess their customers around.

Got my b-52 in a regular coffee cup — this cocktail drink suddenly became tastely and fastfood-like. Asked for a side of sauteed spinach — had to cancel because it never came. kale spinach chicken soup was good but that was it. Good views

I don’t understand the three star average rating. They must have had new management because I have eaten there 4 times in a row, Dinner, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner #2 and I have no reservations recommending this place. I’d been stayed at the attached Woodmark Hotel and Still Spa for business and was very impressed with the fast and friendly service. For Dinner#1 their café was great: had their beef short-rib rotini which was shredded short rib under a very rich savory sauce over rotini pasta, beautifully finished with a crisp breadcrumb topping. Large portion and excellent. The Breakfast was a generous and flavorful Corned beef hash with eggs, sweet potatoes, peppers + onions, and yummy chunks of Andouille sausage. Lunch was a chopped chicken salad with fresh greens that included dino-kale, and roasted veggies that were fresh and perfectly seasoned. I also tried their Yucca fries(perfectly crisped and hot and very moist inside) that had a tamarind aioili dipping sauce. Seriously good eats! My last dinner was the El Cubano which is a pressed Cuban-style sandwich with braised pork belly, tender ham slices, hot peppers, cheese, cucumbers and a pressed to a perfect crust of bread and meaty flavors – WONDERFUL. So I asked the waiter if they had had a change of chefs in the back and he said that in the last 3 months they did make some changes to the chefs, menu, staff as a result of feedback to the Beach Café. Of course I said that I could tell and that every dish that I had, and all the service that I had was excellent. Prices are not crazy(Modest, not cheap eats). Portions are more than generous. Quality is seriously excellent, and the staff really were exceptionally good. So to you who may have turned away at a 3 star rating because of all of the poor earlier ratings, my take is: I loved all the meals here and would highly recommend trying this place again! Their waterfront location is excellent too when the sun sets.

My husband and I have been here multiple times and we love the location of this restaurant. It’s in a very nice area of Kirkland and I has a great view of the lake. Recommendation: order the Yarrow burger. I ordered it once and now I’m addicted. You can opt for bacon(which makes it more delicious), but the burger comes with a white cheddar Tillamook cheese, Walla Walla onions, thousand Island dressing and good quality beef. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The restaurant is not that big so I don’t feel overcrowded when I eat here.

I was actually surprised by the negative reviews. While I was staying at the Woodmark Hotel, we came here TWICE for breakfast since it was so good! Perhaps the breakfast is better than the lackluster lunch? Or perhaps we just ordered the right thing? I will say, service is friendly, but slow. Took a while to get refills and our check and the food felt like it took longer than usual. For breakfast, it was definitely worth the wait. I recommend: — Bacon & egg sandwich: this is served on a soft ciabatta bread. Crispy enough to provide a nice crunch. The egg is perfectly cooked– crispy on the edges and the yolk isn’t too runny that it drips on your hands. The avocado and aioli create a nice texture to complement the crunch. The potatoes were also cooked just to my liking– crunchy! — Pancakes: we added the berries for an extra $ 2 and it was definitely worth it. The butter is whipped with blueberries so it added another layer of sweetness. The candied nuts were coated with cinnamon and were just the perfect crunch for the soft pancakes. Overall, we were very happy with our breakfast. It was truly delicious! We ended up coming back the next day(yes, convenient location played a part as well).

Perfect location, OK food, OK service. This restaurant offers one of the best views of Kirkland. I guess because of that there is no effort in making costumers happy. The food and the menu are both very basic nothing impressive. A bit overpriced for the quality. The service is not so great. I’ve been here twice and both times there has been a mix up with the checks. Usually the food arrives late and cold. If there wasn’t for the view, I wouldn’t try this place. It’s nice to sit outside and have a drink with friends. The inside isn’t even worth going.

Beach Café has a great location out by the water, but foodwise, nothing to write home about. My family and I came here to celebrate my birthday on Sunday. As the sun was shining and temps were in the high 70s, we naturally found the outdoor patio to be bustling. We had a reservation for 6PM, but decided to wait an extra 30ish minutes for an open spot on the patio. Once seated, our waiter came by pretty quickly to take our order. However, the wait for the dishes to come out was a bit longer — granted, it was the«busy time» of the evening, but it took almost an hour for our food to come out. :/ We decided to go with the following: –Seafood Mac & Cheese(Half Order) — The«seafood» aspect of the mac & cheese was the few pieces of salmon and shrimp. Overall, it was fine, but I wasn’t blown away by the taste. –Beach Starter Salad — A pretty standard mixed greens salad, this dish worked well to offset the cheesiness of the seafood mac. –Herb-Crusted Cod & Chips — Go for the sweet potato fries over regular fries. :P –Smoked Turkey Sandwich –Prime Rib Dip Beach Café also has a cocktail menu with a few cocktail, mocktail, beer and wine selections, but FYI, they do not have a blender at the bar. Lastly, a funny caveat of sitting on the patio — at one point, it got so windy that a few pieces of lettuce literally blew off the plate. :P
