Still Spa

About a year ago I attended a Unilocal elite event here. I knew then that the next time I wanted a massage, this was the place to go.
So naturally, for my birthday I decided to invest in myself and have a spa day. From start to finish, it was the perfect way to relax.
1)Valet is free for spa guests… awesome!!!
2)The women’s locker room is spacious enough, the locks are easy to figure out and the dry sauna is an added bonus.
3) The waiting room was comfortable and calming. They even had chocolate covered strawberries and current magazines! As well as an assortment of teas and water bottles.
4) I chose the 90 minute Aroma Design Bar Customized Journey. THIS IS SO COOL!!! My therapist Taylor took me to a little station set up with oils and fragrances and an ipad where I took a short quiz. I’m very familiar with scents and notes so I did the more advanced one.
In no way was I expecting to recieve a GIANT JAR of my scent mixed with shea butter to take home!!! It led me to believe it would be a small vial! Now I have the most beautifully scented lotion to remind me of this wonderful relaxing day. They used pure oil during my massage so my lotion wouldn’t be wasted. What a magnificent idea… I recommend everyone get this option!
5) I’m on my feet for almost ¹⁰⁄₁₂ hours a day but don’t have any major aches and pains… Taylor is an absolute pro!!! She found pressure points I didn’t know existed and applied the perfect amount of pressure. I left feeling like a bowl of jello, in the best way possible!
6) Champagne was offered at every stage. Pre and post massage, as well as during my pedicure.
7)I chose the Luxury Pedicure that included a standard shape/​buff/​polish with a scrub, extended massage and paraffin treatment. I think her name was Kay that assisted me. She did a fantastic job with the polish and respected that I didn’t wish to chat the entire time… I was so relaxed, it was hard to form sentences!
I only wish she applied a little more pressure during the massage. However, I didn’t speak up so there’s no way she could’ve known.
All in all, I won’t go ANYWHERE else for a massage. Or for that matter, as long as she works there, see anyone but Taylor for my relaxation/​massage needs.

Still spa is just fabulous! From the minute I called to set up appointments for 2 friends and I until we walked out the door! Top notch service and wonderful people. Alyssa went out of our way to book massage appointments convenient to us. And Nicole was my massage therapist as well as my friends and we were blown away. What an expert in great massages but also knowledgable about the body. We live almost 2 hours away and will for sure be heading back!

I was very disappointed in my overall experience here. Though the facility was beautiful and the front desk person was incredibly professional, the Brazillian wax I got was extremely incomplete and more painful than usual. I’ve had this service done at other places several dozen times and this was by far the worst one. My checkout experience and experience with the supervisor/​manager however was what made me certain I would never return. I booked the appointment using a discount and then was told at checkout that the discount did not exist. I had to pull the discount up on the website and show the manager who was really upset about it. I felt very uncomfortable having to negotiate this in front of other customers and was made to feel dishonest by requesting a discount that was confirmed to me upon booking. This is not the way I’d expect to be treated at any spa let alone a luxury spa.

I love Still Spa. It’s a very relaxing experience from start to finish. I like the plush robes you change into, and having access to a sauna before your treatment. There’s also an area stocked with snacks, drinks and magazines if you don’t want to be in the sauna. I got a massage here and my therapist was excellent. The table was very comfy and I liked the scent of the massage lotion that was used (it was the sports therapy lotion). The therapist was excellent. I had a couple of tense spots that felt much better after the massage. I like deep tissue and he was able to do that the entire time with consistent pressure. It’s a bit pricier than the usual place I go to but worth the splurge every once in awhile for the luxurious spa experience.

VERY disappointed. We stayed at The Woodmark with plans of enjoying spa services while we were there. My husband enjoyed an early morning massage and I was looking forward to sleeping in, having a massage and meeting a friend for lunch. Well… Not what I got. I checked in 10 minutes before my appointment time, waited and after waiting 15 minutes after my appointment time and another 5 minutes of trying to find someone in the spa that could assist me I had to go to the hotel concierge to ask him to let the spa know I would have to forego my massage as we had lunch plans and would now be late because the spa could not accommodate me and the booked time of my appt. As I was asking the concierge to let the spa know the gal from the spa counter walked up from the hotel lobby and explained that the therapist was just getting out of a meeting. I am disappointed that they scheduled me for an appointment the day before at a time that the therapist would be unavailable. Not impressed with the customer care and less impressed with the excuse for making me wait for 20 minutes and not be able to enjoy the relaxing experience that I was anticipating. And, all of this on a weekday…

A poor quality pedicure. Sad, as I had high hopes. Just returned from a pedicure and completely disappointed. My nails are crooked, my polish is lumpy and totally not the color I requested. I chose a peachy pink from the samples she provided and she obviously couldn’t find it as the sample had no label she painted them bright hot pink and hoped I wouldn’t notice. The massage was rushed inconsistent and basically non existent! Super disappointed about that.
As an aesthetician myself I may be a little picky but this was bad enough that I had to join Unilocal to share.
I’m either going to have to fix it myself or go somewhere else :(
Front desk was super courteous and the spa looks great, for what it’s worth. I may return to try the massage one day.

I was looking forward to a relaxing facial and also solving the severe dryness that I have on my face. The receptionist told me to get an oxygen facial. I really didn’t know what that involved. I should have asked. It was beyond unpleasant — super loud noise from the oxygen machine and cold air blowing on my face for almost an hour. The aesthetician was really nice and told me that this was a results oriented facial and not a relaxing facial. So, I thought «ok, no pain, no gain.»
I am really unhappy with the results. My face is even more dry, the dry patches are worse than ever. The experience of the oxygen facial was miserable. I wish I had never done this.
I will say that the people are really nice, and the spa itself was pristine. But my facial experience was miserable and didn’t yield any results — made things worse. Totally disappointed because I really needed this facial. I usually have good experience and results with facials at other spas. Very expensive and not worth it.

Okay, I have limited experience at spas, but I considered this an incredible experience. Staff were attentive and focused on making my experience memorable.
First a one hour massage, then a 1 hour facial finished with a pedicure. I have has lots of massages over the years. The one I received here was fine. Not remarkable but worth it none the less. I had never had a facial nor had I ever had a pedicure. The aesthetician (Laura) was interesting and fun to chat with during the «exercise». As a life long redneck I have to admit, both the facial and the pedicure were awesome and extremely relaxing. I was asked if I wanted my nails polished… not happening while I am still breathing! But seriously, the three hour experience was great and the Still Spa and staff were quite wonderful.

Nothing better than a Sunday morning pedicure with a glass of champagne and the Seahawks playing on tv. I went in last minute to get a pedicure and Kay was fantastic! Very sweet and friendly. I was given a complimentary glass of champagne but most importantly, they had the Seahawks playing on the TV right in front of me. My pedicure took about an hour and they had great color options to chose from. Not a single chip in the polish yet :) I’ll definitely be back!

Completely disappointed this morning. I booked my appointment back in May for today. This past weekend I just completed my first 3-​Day 60 mile walk, that’s why this date was chosen. Apparently when the company changed, some of the therapists left and away went their scheduled appointments. No massage for these TIRED AND SORE legs. I want to cry!

Both the mani and the pedi were short, expensive and impersonal.

I usually don’t get excited to write reviews about spas, but I have to give it up for this one.
Recently went to a Unilocal Elite event and I must say the experience was very cool.
While the robes were on the heavier/​warmer side, I can imagine how cozy and inviting it must be to slip into one of these during the cold chilly days. The food was really really good. But let me be the one to rave like a mad person about the mango cheesecake dessert. What a cheesecake! I couldn’t get enough! I am definitely going back to the hotel restaurant just to eat that cheesecake.
SERVICES —
* The manicure was nicely done, it’s no different from any other types of Spa manicure I have had in the past. I only wish we had access to more colors than the ones provided, but I was very happy with it nevertheless.
* The massage was incredible. She knew exactly which spots to hit and focus on. I spoke to her about my chronic back problems and received a lot of helpful advice, starting from simple stretching movements I can do every day to what type of aromatherapy pillow I can use to relax those tense muscles. I felt that she really cared for my health and the level of knowledge was really helpful. She knew her stuff.
* I waited a few days to write this so I can talk about my hydra facial experience and results after. I really had no expectations, in terms of what it could do for my skin. To be honest I didn’t expect any immediate results other than looking really shiny and well moisturized. But I was so wrong. The service provider was really wonderful and described this facial as an «antioxidant party on my face.» I don’t think I can describe it any better. I was shocked to see how well improved my skin and complexion looked following the treatment. Not only did my face look clean, and even toned, the redness and sun burnt splotches were all gone. my skin looked 5 times more happy and healthy. It’s been close to a week and it continues to look good and improved. I can’t imagine what an hour of this would do. I was pleasantly surprised and am considering going back for this at least once a year now.
MANAGEMENT —
Kristen was very passionate about the new direction they are taking for Still Spa. This is probably the first spa which sells and prides itself on using organic and local ingredients in their services, something I feel that Washington is all about. Very good presentation, upbeat and professional personality. Everyone was all smiles and really professional.

I had a fantastic night here during a Unilocal Elite event and I’m looking forward to going back for another facial.

I came here for a Unilocal Elite event and had a great time. All the staff here are passionate and knowledgeable, and Kristin, the manager, has a great vision for the spa’s future and direction. I can’t wait to come back and see the changes after the renovation is done!
I highly recommend Laura as a facialist — she not only did a good job with my facial but also had good recommendations for my skin routine and products. For my massage, I had Taylor, who got all the tension out of my shoulders and back! I don’t normally go in for massages, but I think I’ll have to start now.

Pedicure: I loved it! The person did my nails who was an Asian girl was so good at what she was doing. She was very careful and I was very satisfied with the result.
Massage: it was great! My therapist definitely knew what she was doing and she could figure out what I needed to work on.
Facial: the person did my facial was so experienced, she had 15 years of experience so I trusted her a lot. Facial was relaxing and my skin felt awesome afterwards. Oh and I had to mention they use all natural and organic everything.
There are paid parking garages in the area that are free after 7pm weekdays and free on the weekends.
I can’t wait to come back!

Very accommodating having arrived for a conference. Staff could use a bit of a pep injection, but the service options were reasonably priced and they carry multiple beauty lines which make those last minute needs easily remedied.

I had a fantastic experience at this spa. Both the receptionists were very nice and friendly. I had a massage with Bridget and she was awesome. I haven’t had a massage that good in a long time. She did amazing things for the tension in my neck and shoulders. I really felt like she cared about making me feel better. Highly recommend her. She even showed me some stretches afterwards. The organic facial was wonderful too. All the products they used smelled nice and felt good. It was very relaxing. Not sure of the gal’s name who did the facial.
I read the reviews and was a bit nervous about going here but since we were staying at the Woodmark it just made sense to try the spa here. I’m so glad I did.

My mom and I both got services today at the Spa at Woodmark. I took advantage of the Bloomspot offer they had. I purchased the Skin Bella Dermabrasion, and got my mom the Organic Green facial, Stonecrop.
The skinny: The ambiance is inviting, chic and the receptionist polite and professional. We were offered tea/​water and the citrus green tea was a nice way to get us started.
Yasko (hope the spelling is correct) did my Skin Bella Dermabrasion. She was wonderful! The room was low lit and the table was a heated cocoon. Ahhhh. Yasko explained the benefits and differences btwn granulated microderms and Skin Bella. She was informative and her presence soothing. Her technique was confident. really just flawless. The extractions were done nimbly and for such a wet procedure, there were no mishaps. I loved the color, texture and tone of my skin afterwards. WOW! I wholeheartedly recommend Skin Bella Dermabrasion. Ask for Yasko! (5 stars for Yasko and this particular treatment)
Now the reason for 4 star review:
My mom is recently windowed. I wanted her to have a nice pampering treatment done and have been trying to get her to switch to more natural/​organic skincare line. One of the main reasons of booking her a facial here, was for her to to get the Organic Green Facial, Stonecrop.
I went in first for my service and 5 minutes later, my mom went in. However when I was done my mom was waiting for me. (about 5 – 7 mins) Her service was at least 10 less time than mine. On top of that, she did not get the stonecrop mask. They used a mask from another line that was NOT organic. Looking at the ingredient list, I saw a handful of «redflag» ingredients. ie Propylene Glycol. My mom has drier skin with sun damage. From the website description this facial was perfect for both concerns. If her esthetician decided to go with a «richer» mask, she should of stayed with Eminance. This was supposed to be an ORGANIC GREEN FACIAL.
I wanted to purchase some organic Eminance products for her today, but I was irked that my mom got less pampering time and had this other mask used on her. My mom is Korean and her English is «so-​so» She is not used to getting facials, as this is only the 2^nd one she has had. (15 years ago was the last one) So, it doesn’t take much to make her happy. She was curious as to why her service was done faster than mine, but I smoothed it over, saying that mine just takes longer. I didn’t want anything to mar her «relaxed» state. So, where my mom is concerned, she’s a happy camper. But, I thought I’d point out these blips.
Would we go back? Yes. Next time, I’ll be sure to ask for an Esthetician that will be less hurried and will stick to using Eminance on my lil momma.

The spa itself is gorgeous. It is a very relaxing atmosphere and is what you would expect to see when you walk in. I had my wedding reception at the Woodmark Hotel and booked an appointment for myself and my wedding party to have mani/​pedis at the Spa the day before the ceremony.
Everything was horrible as soon as we showed up. The staff (reception aside) was rude and acted as if we were bothering them. No one smiled or made us feel good while we were there. Then to top it off the person who did my nails filed my toes so aggressive I had to make her stop because she filed it till it was bleeding. I didnt want to cause a scene as I was already feeling so uncomfortable and put off so I just paid for everyone and left.
I will never go back to the spa or recommend it to anyone I know.

My «special lady friend» and I had a couples massage here recently, and I’d like to review this place from the perspective of the male gender. First off, the massage itself was great. I’ve never had one before in my life, and we booked this as a relaxing fun thing to do based on a couple of gift cards we had received around Christmas time. My review, however, will be focused more on the facilities — or rather, lack there of for guys like me.
First off, we arrive and are taken back separately. My friend to the women’s locker room, and me to a small hallway in the back. The receptionist points me towards a small locker bank in the hallway (much like a high school gym) and then to a small restroom adjacent to it which was clearly designed for employee use, like the kind you find in a break room. I was told to change in there and come out to the «relaxation room» when i was ready.
After changing, I came out and met my friend in the chairs while we had some lemon water and read magazines. The «relaxation room» isn’t actually all that relaxing, however, due to the fact that it’s separated from the reception area and hallway by nothing but a sheer curtain (There is no reason there couldn’t be a glass wall/​door there?). So, you end up hearing everything going on down the hall, and all of the people passing through the room themselves back and forth.
Like I said, our massage was perfect and very relaxing. The massage therapists were both kind and very experienced, so kudos to them. After our massage, my friend retreated back to her locker room and I to my bathroom. This is where it goes downhill, as I had to uncomfortably slip my sticky/​massage-​oily body back into my clothes and go sit out in the reception area. After about a half hour, my friend comes out of the women’s locker room telling me she had an relaxing sit in the sauna, followed by a magical rain-​shower.
Overall, the massage was great. But let this serve as a warning to other men who may think about going here, or couples for that matter. I wouldn’t come back, really only because I would prefer a massage from somewhere that has equal facilities for both genders — or at least a shower I can use after.
One more note: The prices on their website are kind of misleading. Using some simple terms like «per person» would clear things right up, especially when quoting couples massage prices.
