These guys are great. They delivered my order to the house and were super professional. Great service.

I have been building a 14×14 shed in my backyard and I’ve received 6 deliveries from Kirkland Dunn and given them about $ 5000 for everything from nails, screws, and brackets, to metal roofing, to lumber, to concrete. I’ve also had to visit the store in person for advice and miscellaneous materials. Every member of the staff has been extremely helpful with giving me advice on brackets and other hardware. I’ve always been treated like a valued customer even though I don’t know as much as the pro’s. Dunn’s actual lumber is waaaaaaaay better quality than the big home improvement stores. It’s not even in the same league. I’d much rather order from Dunn and pay $ 20 for delivery than spend an hour at the Depot rummaging through a bunch of beat-up 2x4s, trying to find 10 that aren’t cracked.

Extremely prejudice toward women. I got my start in a construction office and have done a fair amount of cement work having family members employed out of Cadman Gravel. When you walk in they treat you like an enemy, they obviosly cater to their regular licensed craftsmen, good for them. Was treated like ship by a fellow who had some sort of power trip going, I was returning some cement blocks which had not cured properly and were crumbling even before I got them to the car. He told a clerk not to wait on me but to go over to another guy behind me with a large order,(as I stand in line) he swaggered past like he wanted to be seen and tried to intimidate me by looking straight into my eyes as he said it. As a petit female and with him being even shorter than me it made no sense. I heard him tell a superior that I had no idea what I was talking about. Get rid of the power tripper! They have what I need for home projects, including delivery. This time it’s treated lumber for a retaining wall and a new fence in my backyard. Soon it will be something else. I’ve been coming here for years and I’m always able to get what I need, including good advice. These guys really know what they’re doing.

Just bought some plywood there. Asked them to cut it for me to fit into my car. Since they were cutting it, they chose the plywood sheets themselves rather than letting me choose them. Not only did they cut them wrong, they chose sheets of plywood that were quite defective, and then proceeded to tell me too bad, thats just how it is and you can’t change it because they are cut. Then to top it all off, one of the kids came out to load my car and proceeded to shove a piece that i told him was too big to fit, into my car despite my protestations. I told him that it wouldn’t go and he should cut it as I had originally requested. Instead he said«I’m going to make it fit» and then shoved it into my car, gauging all the interior on the way in. This was a brand new car that now has huge gauges on the sides top and bottom thanks to this careless kid who just wanted to get it done so he could go hang out with his buddies who were standing there waiting for him to be done. Never again Dunn Lumber. Your prices are way too high Your wood is the same(if not worse) quality than Home Depot Your kids don’t listen to your customers Your employee damaged my car. ================== **** UPDATE: Dunn Lumber has contacted me and appears to be working to resolve my issues. I will update this review once an outcome has been reached. ==================

I was in this past week. I approached the counter and asked to have a doweling cut and went on to describe the other item I needed. The employee(forgot to get his name) took me around to try to find the item I needed. Unfortunately, they didn’t carry said item. The employee happily went in the back to cut the doweling(at no charge) and gave me specific directions were I could find the other item. Now that is customer service.

I love being able to run in and run out without having to a big box store. I find the staff very helpful and haven’t seen the issues a couple people posted about. Of course if I need help I will ask rather than wait for someone to come to me. I dread the day where home depot is the only choice for consumers.

The staff at Dunn is always very helpful. I’ve been here many, many times during my remodel and they always treat me right. I go there often and I would highly recommend them.

Staff was not friendly and nobody offered to help me while shopping there. I felt like they do not care about«little» customer. At the end I did not even found what I was looking for… very disappointing experience, will not go there anymore !

Building a school by here and, when we are in a pinch, they have what we need. We usually pick it up in around 20 minutes and its ready to go. Never had a problem with getting the correct material. 1 star off for their customer service, but hey, this place isn’t P.F. Changs, so I don’t expect 3 perky girls attending my every need(sorry Johnny ;).

I’ve been buying lumber here for like 30 years. A long time ago it was cash, only. Fortunately they have kept with the times and accept debit cards. This is not a warehouse store, so you don’t shop in the back. Go up to the counter with a list or a project in mind and they will gladly help you. They are comparable in price with the big box stores and have a lot of items you can’t find elsewhere.

This is the next yard to be closed. Bet on it. 6 guys standing around. They ignored me –the only customer. I walked into the warehouse to serve myself and the kid in back stopped bounding his ball long enough to look at me a sec and went back to bouncing. The old lady after me got help, but left without buying anything. I took my material list out, and that was it. I’ll get my materials somewhere else. Times are tough boys, better wake up!
