Evergreen Academy Preschool

My 3 ½ year old son came from an at home facility to Evergreen Academy and loved it right away! I’ve had he opportunity to watch him I the toddler class when he was 2 and they really helped me get him potty trained. Once he turned 3 we moved him downstairs to the early pre k program which he is thriving in! He is learning Spanish, can count to 30 and knows all of the different sounds each letter of the alphabet make.
One thing I’ve noticed about Evergreen Academy is how much they focus on each child. When Grayson is having a bad day, they give him just the right amount attention to get him through his day happy. I also love that they focus and teach the littles how to socialize in a polite and productive way. He’s really starting to make friends and loves his teachers! I would highly recommend this school.

NOTE: I only have experience with the preschool rooms, age 2+
Like any preschool/​daycare, they have problems retaining classroom teachers, but this one seems to do pretty well. Though not all the staff are Montessori-​trained, at least the lead teacher in the class is. The classrooms are well-​stocked and clean.
If you’re looking for a hard-​core Montessori program, this is not one of them. Sure, they incorporate Montessori philosophies. But from what I understand, starting in the 2012 – 2013 year, the classrooms will not have varying ages. The preschool classes had ages 2 – 5, but now they will only be 2 – 3 yrs. The 4-​year-​olds will be in a 5 day a week preschool class (part-​time for 4-​year-​olds will no longer be available), 5-​year-​olds in their own Kindergarten class.
But, I have been very happy with the school, and the teachers. The campus was opened in 2011, so everything is still fairly new.
