Gold’s Gym

I have been meaning to write this review for a while now. Wow. This gym is hands down the best gym that I have ever been a member of. The staff are great people who know their stuff. I guy that got me signed up was a straight shooter who didn’t scream «upsell» every chance he could like most gym managers do. The receptionists are always kind as well.
Now to the important part.
I would give the equipment a ¹⁰⁄₁₀. I have been a regular member of three different gyms now and none of them compare. Even at 6PM, you can always find the machine/​bench/​rack that you are looking for. It is very roomy and I never feel crowded. The lockers are kept very clean and the showers come with nice shampoo and body wash. I just love that with this gym, you never have that moment of frustration where you chuck your hands up in the air and leave because you can’t find the machine open that you want/​need to use. Finally, the people that use this gym are respectful of eachother and it grants a sense of community and support. Couldn’t be more satisfied. Will continue recommending this gym to friends and family.

I’ve been working out at Kirkland Gold’s for a couple of years now and love it! The staff are super friendly and professional. I’m a huge fan of their Zumba instructor, Ayumi. I spent eight months searching for a great instructor and she’s the best. In fact, I drive an hour each way just to take her class. The machines are always clean and well maintained and it’s a good environment to work out in whether you’re big into weights or just like to come for one of the many classes. The child care area is a favorite with my daughter as well.

I have been going to this gym for over 6 years now and had never had an issue until recently. I had been absent for a while due to a shoulder injury and came back to work out on the upstairs cardio equipment. Well it was over 80 degrees that day but as I knew from past experience the gym was always cool… not today! I almost dropped after 15 minutes as the A/​C was not on and there were not fans.
I asked the manager on my way out and he stated the owners have known about this since February but were opening a new gym in Vancouver so nothing had been done. He did tell me this may be resolved this coming week but that is not soon enough in this weather.
May have to take my business elsewhere if I cannot enjoy the gym on a hot day.

I have been working out at this gym for almost a year now and so far it has been a great experience! The front desk and manager (Keith) are very friendly. They have various classes too in the morning and evening. While they don’t have amenities such as swimming pool or spa, they are perfect for somebody like me who just wants to get your workout done. Their monthly dues is also very reasonable. Would highly recommend!

The remodel they have done to this facility is awesome! The machine placements are all divided up by muscle group and very easy to get to. The equipment is very up to date. The front desk staff along with the training staff are always looking to take the time and help you. I’ve worked out at a few different gyms and this one is by far the most friendly and nice. Just a awesome environment and doesn’t make you feel like your at a gym!

I really want to like this place. The clients are great. They show up, and work. Not a ton of folks messing around which really helps me focus on my workout. Unfortunately all of the staff is not as focused. Today I was distracted by the girl who runs the memberships squealing and literally barking at clients. Loudly. Like a large dog. People were turning around and staring and she didn’t get for a second that it looked like someone had dropped off a class of jr. high students behind the desks. The kids have their feet on the on the tables they are supposed to be working on, reclining like they are at home and are popping jokes like they are at the bar. Since the clients all show up to work it would be nice if all of the staff did too. I’m going to have to try the 24hr fitness and see if it is run by adults.

Dirty, weights are never placed back, and the managers don’t do anything except Keith. He is the only one that builds a relationship with customers. The female manager literally sits on her ass the whole shift on her phone. I even teased her the ONE time she wasn’t on her phone. The gym doesn’t allow chalk for honestly no good reason considering they have mismatched floors. The chalk may actually make it look more like a gym. I canceled my membership due to moving but we could have canceled it by the summer anyway. This place is a joke.

My wife and I have been working out at Gold’s Gym Kirkland for nine years! We consider this our home gym. The staff is super friendly and always accommodating to our needs. This Gold’s Gym is clean, well kept, and has all the equipment we need to always get a great workout! Plus, the other gym members are fun and great to be around as well!!!

Golds Kirkland has great staff and a fantastic workout environment. It is right on a jogging/​biking trail if you want to get outside. The other members are always polite and respectful. Cant really ask for more.

This gym is nice. Nothing fancy and no amenities (sauna, pool, etc), but they have a good selection of weights, machines and cardio equipment. My trainer, Brandon, was excellent. Highly recommend him. The front desk staff, Zoe and Grace, are friendly. I did, unfortunately, have a large amount of money stolen from the locker room (lock was cut and I happened to have a lot of cash on me that day), but I wouldn’t really blame the gym for that. Just don’t bring anything valuable into the lockers and expect it to be secure. Otherwise, great gym for the price.

Wow. The VP called my fiancé today (I left the post last night around 10pm) and apologized and explained they take these things very seriously and they have given the client a final warning. They have refunded our card, waived next months fee for the Kirkland location, and offered to transfer us to the Woodinville location! I’m super impressed with the response! We will definitely consider coming back in the future.

This is an amazing gym! The staff, both front desk and sales, are extremely helpful and friendly. I’ve had the pleasure of working with a few of their personal trainers and have never been disappointed with the one-​on-​one training that I received. Their trainers know what they are doing and how to build a fitness program that is right for you. As far as the facilities go everything is maintained very well and the layout is easily maneuvered. I’ll continue to go to this gym as it is affordable and the best in the area!

This review is way overdue — I can’t believe I’ve been going for over four years now!
I love this gym, feels like family. Pricing is reasonable, the staff is knowledgeable, and the culture is really supportive. Locker rooms are clean and well equipped. I go during lunch since my office is nearby, and there are always tons of machines available, as well as free weights, barbells, racks, etc. When I started I couldn’t do a single push-​up, but everyone from the staff to the regulars was really friendly and willing to answer questions. Now I’m doing push-​ups, pull-​ups, deadlifts, you name it.
Not to be cliché, but this place really did change my life. If you’re looking to join a gym, this is the place to be!

This place is solid. It’s affordable, and the equipment is kept in top shape in a clean environment. There’s a variety of cardio equipment and classes offered upstairs, but they still have plenty of barbells, racks and free weights. On top of all this, the staff, trainers and child care people are friendly and approachable. There’s a positive atmosphere at the gym among both employees and gym-​goers, and that’s what’s kept me coming back for about a decade or so now.

A friend of mine asked me where I work out and I proudly said «Golds Gym in Kirkland»! The best trainer, atmosphere and equipment! If there’s ever a question, the trainers are always so approachable and are very knowledgable. I will always support this place!

Gold’s in Kirkland will work with you. They’re upgrading their facilities (locker room). Its low key, spacious and has great personnel working for them. I highly recommend Gold’s Gym in Kirkland

Slightly scammed. I was told month to month but get slapped a yearly maintenance fee along with a higher rate. Also im 5 months in ans when you cancel membership they request you email
. I then get a bounce back. Why does it take this much effort to cancel an account??? I am so annoyed. This experience was horrific and a waste of time.

And here I am… a member again and sort of ok with it this time around. Management has gotten a lot better, they seem to actually care. I avoid the creepy bathroom at all cost. Spin class on Wednesday with Amber is a blast. For the price, it works. Wish the wifi worked more consistently.

I have been working out at Gold’s Gym Kirkland for 20 years and it has never been better than it is right now. The manager Keith, the trainers and all the people who work at the desk are very friendly to everyone. They create a welcoming environment that makes me look forward to coming to the gym every day. I truly feel they are concerned about helping me meet my fitness goals and are less concerned about the bottom line. I hope to keep training at Gold’s for the next twenty years.
