I love this coffee stand. The BEST coffee and the sweetest girls! I look forward to going here everyday :)

Love this place! The girls are so friendly and even when they mess the order up, they’re very apologetic and fix it! Have gone to other locations but non are like the Kirkland one!

Skip Starbucks. The coffee sucks and it’s overpriced… Gourmet latte uses great beans and they have all that surgery sweet crap people like but it’s all about the coffee as the baseline and it’s delicious… These girls that work there are also awesome… So make the change!

Tired of seeing the «now hiring» sign on the sidewalk and have stopped going here. Not because of the baristas, I have never had a «bad» coffee, a few that could have been better but they have mostly been nice and professional (minus the gossiping about customers behind the window that I don’t think they realize people can hear). My real reason is that I go to stands for personalized service. Having my drink remembered. Not having to stand in line at a corporate competitor and be shuffled down their «production line». To support small business. Etc. And here, it’s a different face literally every, single time I go. I am starting to think it’s not the staff, that is the problem. Other stands in the area have maintained consistent staffs. So maybe it’s management or the owners? Whatever the reason, I am going back to Get up and Go next door, until they get it together. I was in coffee for many years. I know there is turnover, but this place has given new meaning to the term. It’s getting quite ridiculous.

Definitely depends on which barista you get, but overall have had good experiences here.

This is wonderful coffee. I really love it. HOWEVER… I was looking at the menu and the corresponding prices, wondering why a 16 oz iced mocha (dark) would be so much $. The one I get comes to almost $ 5. On the list it says $ 3 something — I think $ 3.19 or so, for this size iced mocha. I figured «hmmm, okay. How is my drink coming to almost $ 5 by only ordering one extra shot» (I order 3 shots total). So I ask the gal. I tell her «hey, it says it’s only 50 cents for an extra shot». She informs me that a 16 oz. iced mocha only has ONE shot in it and I am actually paying for two extra shots when I order a triple. She goes on to tell me that a hot mocha of the same size automatically comes with 2, whereas the iced only comes with 1. I think this is absolutely ridiculous, because EVERYWHERE else when you order a 16 oz it comes with TWO shots STANDARD. Think about it. A «tall» mocha (IE, the size BELOW a 16 oz) comes with ONE shot. Why on earth would someone assume a 16 oz comes with only one as well. Makes NO sense. Shady business!!! I can guarantee you that, since the owner doesn’t even say on her/​his sign how many shots come in each size, that MANY hundreds of people go thru that stand each week assuming they are getting 2 shots, when in reality they are just getting extra chocolate flavored MILK. So immoral. Why would the owner assume that iced coffee drinkers are just there to get fat vs. wake up? I’d LOVE to hear the owner’s response and I can guarantee you it will be lame.

It has become my experience that the barista really matters at this stand. In fact, I have a tendency to drive past when there is not a car I recognize or no car is parked in the normal spot. Sydney (current manager) encourages me to stop in any case to give her feedback on the quality of the drinks and will give me my next one free when I tell her about the bad drinks. I appreciate that service.
My drink here is the Sugar Free White Tiger 32 oz Iced Americano with a splash of cream. This is basically white chocolate and Irish Cream.
This stand has the absolute best sugar free white chocolate you can get. The owner makes it herself. For awhile they switched to one they were purchasing which was so very gross. I went back to plain iced Americano with cream or heading over to Mercury during those dark days. I hope the owner never stops making hers!
The biggest thing I have to watch for are:
1) ensuring they don’t pour the hot coffee into the plastic cup melting it and leaching chemicals into the drink
2) they put enough ice in the drink. I love ice and hate it when they don’t use enough
3) make sure they put enough of the sugar free white chocolate (needs 3 heaping scoops or 4 normal ones) and enough Irish Cream (must be 3 to 4 pumps)
4) making sure they don’t add too much cream. It should be just a splash. Enough to make it the color of a Kraft Caramel square
When the right baristas are there, I come here every day. I miss those days.

It is with a very heavy heart I write this. I have gone here daily for over 3 years. Every single employee, even new ones, knows me and my drink on sight. I know their lives, they know mine.
But some recent staffing changes have really brought a lot of issues to light here, and the service and quality of drinks is suffering because of it.
Many of the long term amazing girls left within a short time of each other, causing a huge flux of new girls. They keep advertising they are still hiring on a pretty permanent basis. One or two didn’t make it, rightfully so, but even the ones who are lasting seem to be having troubles getting with the flow.
The in-​fighting/​drama/​leadership issues going on are evident in the girls– new and old. The new Manager, brought in from another stand, is sadly– my least favorite. Before I saw texts she sent to other girls disparaging me for not liking her. She rarely smiles, she’s always tired, I’ve witnessed her leave a shared shift w/​o tipping out the other girl, be late or flake on her own shift, refuse time off requests done far in advance because she wanted to party that day instead and she just carries this really off-​putting air on someone not very personable. I’ve known many of the girls here for years, and they complained of no product, orders being late or not done, their shifts not being ready or told to them in time, etc. I tend to believe them, having been around them so long. Some have moved on, some are sticking it out, and some are clearly just hoping not to get fired.
NewManager is right by the way, in her texts and words to others. I don’t like her. But I did give her a fair shot for weeks before I just gave up trying.
I’ve now gotten sick from coffee I had here 2x in the last month. It’s only because of my extreme loyalty I am not giving them 1 star. I’ve gotten SICK.
During all this transition, and the heat wave we’ve been having, they:
1. Had more than one day where their credit card processor and cash register were done and unusable. With no resolution, no repairmen on site, no updates to the girls. Nothing. They had to turn away tons of business or just give coffee away.
2. Out of ice, broken ice machine more than 3x I can remember
3. Large turnover, new girls with insufficient training and support, long wait times (exceeding 10 minutes is now a norm, sadly)
4. Increase in poorly made drinks, my drinks made incorrectly (I’ve been given soy milk more times than I care to remember recently. Which means they’re getting lazy, aren’t trained and/​or just don’t give a f*ck)
5. Charged a different amount EVERY time I come. It’s anywhere from $ 3.75 upwards of $ 5.00 for the exact same drink and it’s totally dependent upon who is working what I’ll be charged. It’s annoying as fuck, and forces me to use my debit card (and incur their extra fee for using it, putting it even higher a price!) to avoid the hassle of random change.
This is a great location, of a great little growing franchise, with a long-​term loyal customer base. All of which they could seriously stand to lose if they don’t get these kinks worked out for the better.
I’m already finding ways and times to get my fix elsewhere, and despite any rumors you may have heard to the contrary, I’m not the kind of girl who likes to cheat of my dealer.

Gourmet Latte is fantastic. Their service is quick and friendly, and the coffee is delicious and inexpensive. I’ll definitely be back!

The work wife stops here for coffee every single day of her life at least once. She usually drives through at least twice a day and always gets the same thing, a 12 or 16 ounce mocha breve. I’ve heard this term breve thrown around amongst my coffee drinking friends, but I never knew what it meant. I was always afraid to ask, because, well I live in the Seattle area. I feel some obligation to know everything about coffee and coffee related lingo. The truth is I rarely ever drink coffee.
Finally, I asked WW one day what breve even meant. Turns out breve means they use half and half instead of milk. SOLD! I got one to try it out. De-flippin’-licious! I highly suggest everyone try a breve. It’s tasty, warm, creamy goodness and anyone who knows me knows I don’t pass up tasty, warm, creamy goodness.
I’ve always found the baristas here to be very friendly. The prices are also reasonable. I think the 12 oz breve (which costs a bit more) is $ 3.23 after tax. They have the standard punch card type thing where if you buy a certain amount of coffee you at least eventually get a free one. They also have pastry and crepes if you want something warm to eat while you drive to work.
I definitely recommend them. Coffee is great, food items are great, the baristas are great, and it’s not the big coffee giant that I can’t stand, so it’s a win all the way around.

They remember my drink. May not seem very impressive but I’ve ordered different drinks from different baristas. They all remembered that I was sick at the time and asked me if I was doing better. I have been to other GL locations but the service here is incomparable.

Good looking staff, friendly, and tasty coffee. They are a little slow to produce a quick cup of joe but it’s worth the wait. I wish they had a location that was more convenient. to my normal driving routes.

I love Gourmet Latte. Had one right down the street in Lynnwood when I lived there, so I was so excited when this one in Kirkland was built after I moved over here. Only place I go for coffee! They use the powder white chocolate, which is hands down, better than syrup. Also, the baristas are very friendly and I love that they remember me and my drink! (an iced, double-​tall, white chocolate americano with non-​fat milk).

My favorite thing about this stand is, they make their lattes hot enough! I’ve been patronizing all the local stands for many years, and this is the first one that serves their coffees with consistently good taste and temperature. It’s now my favorite. If you’re tired of being handed a lukewarm or watery-​tasting drink, pull in here!
