Both of my kids have attended Kirkland Preschool and we couldn’t be happier. The teachers are fabulous and the Pr-K class has a well-structured, educational and entertaining curriculum. One of the quirky things I love is the schools collection of vintage toys. It’s a treat to see my kid playing with the same toys I had when I was the same age.

This is a play-based preschool. It’s a bit hard to compare to others because it’s the only one my kid has been in — though I have toured many. I will say that tuition is a bargain, and that you need to sign up to be an assistant for 1 class per month, which turns out to be great.
On the whole my kid likes it. It’s not particularly academic… but then again she’s 3 so should it be? When preschools get serious about academia at 3yo I’m torn about whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
They have a really great playground outside, and a nice big room for indoor play for when it rains. Like it ever does that around here.
