I’m going to be honest, make a confession. Until today, I didn’t even realize this park had a name. Or, at least not one on a big, obvious sign– as it just so happens to have. I always refer to this park as the«leap frogging children of the corn» park. I love the bronze sculptures, they just have such cold, dead eyes. Anyway, this is likely the most noticeable of Kirkland’s many waterfront parks, as it is at street level, with only street parking. One of the best and most unobstructed views of Lake Washington and over to Seattle is here. It stays simple. Some benches, some walking spots, some public art, and just open grass and shoreline. Not the best spot to swim or access water, but I see kite-flyers and kite-boarders here often. Since this is also the first major park down Lake WA Blvd from downtown Kirkland, it’s a nice stroll to and back after dinner or drinks.

Park is low-key and stunning, a combo I like! What a jewel… small enough but offering wonderful views from the Bellevue/Kirkland side. Driving along as we left Bellevue, found this peaceful, prime spot and enjoyed the families and zen-like surrounding to catch some sun, some zzZZs, some nibbles, a dip, or a book… For us, I think it was all of the above. Key to remember: chill views of Lake Washington. I love scenic stop-offs like this. Sometimes the most simple things are the most glorious ones. PS Located just north of the lovely Woodmark Hotel on the water.

Marsh Park, is a small park along side Lake Washington on Lake Washington Lake Blvd. in Kirkland. It is a great place to spend a nice sunny day or glaze the Lake and downtown Seattle at night. Excellent place to see fireworks over the lakes. walking distance to down town Kirkland, where you can find lots of nice small boutique shops and restaurants with out frustration of finding a parking space.
