This was originally property of McAuliffe Nursery and I believe they donated the land to City of Kirkland. A few years back they added a playground for the kids, benches and tables for everyone to enjoy and fenced in the two parks. Note that NE108th(small street) passes through the park so there is some traffic, make sure to watch your pets. Speaking of pets, they have signs asking you to keep your pets on their leashes and to pick up after them. There are bags available to do so as well as garbage bins by the entrances. Since it’s split in half, one side is smaller and has the playground and benches and the other side has a lot of grassy open space and trees and leads into the nursery property which now looks more like an outdoor museum. Park is really well maintained and in the warmer months you can go collect apples that have fallen from the many trees. Only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because the parking«lot» is small and it’s gravel so it can get your car dirty and/or kick rocks. Remember now that it’s a City of Kirkland park, it’s technically closed dusk to dawn.
