This is a quaint little Mexican restaurant in condoville. What I liked best was the avocado salsa – the BEST I have EVER had. What I didn’t like was that the pricing on the board above the register was different from the pricing on the menu, so although I ordered what I thought was a(pricey) $ 9 burrito, it actually was charged at a few bucks more. Plus, rather than letting me order at the counter, the person asked me to wait at a table outside since I was eating in – and that wait took much longer than expected. On top of that, my co-eater got the wrong dish, and they offered nothing as an apology for that(not even a sorry), so I ate and almost finished before her food finally came out. As for the quality, I had the chicken burrito, wet. It was pretty standard as burritos go, an easy 3-star – pushed up a tad higher if I doused it with the avocado salsa. Bottom line: I would not return because it’s overpriced, the service is lacking and my co-eater actually got the wrong food and essentially we both dined alone… together.

Love this place! Always consistently good and great service. The chips are excellent and they have a salsa bar, which we love. The drinks are really good. I always order the shrimp burrito — wet and it is SO wonderful that I can never decide to change. My partner always orders something different and is always extremely pleased. We made a HUGE mistake of going to another Mexican restaurant this past weekend. It was in the area that we were driving. I believe that we are SO spoiled by Mezcal that NOTHING would compare. The restaurant is immaculate and the wait staff efficient and friendly. They always remember us. LOVE this place — try it — you will not be disappointed. They even allow dogs to eat on the patio with their people. I LOVE that!

Pretty good, authenic mexican food. Ingredients tasted fresh and the salsa bar has several good options. Haven’t had the drinks yet but saw margaritas served in large quantities. Yes please.

I’m glad there’s a local mexican place in my little neighborhood. I enjoy their chips and salsa bar… they have several choices and it’s quite good. The staff is always friendly and the food it decent. A little expensive for some items but not overly terrible. It’s kind of you average americanized tex-mex but all in all a good meal. Their burritos are quite large and filling. Their enchiladas and combo plates are great as well. They will check on you often and keep the drinks flowing ;) I will note this restaurant is not super huge and it can tend to fill up fast. They have TV’s usually playing soccer also! Their alcoholic drinks are a touch on the spendy side. I wish they would offer more specials. Their HH is also not well advertised.

Came in for the first time tonight. I think I found my new favorite Mexican joint. The chips were really good and you had many options for different dips, salsa, pico, etc. Service was fairly quick and the man was very kind and apologetic about my brother not being able to get alcohol because he forgot his ID. Our food was well priced and tasted great.

The staff was very friendly and fairly prompt, but the food was a little expensive and bland. I had chicken fajita’s, and the really needed some sort of seasoning other than a slight charred flavor. My Fiancée had a Shrimp Fajita Salad, and she was very disappointed. They really need to improve the food quality, and it’s too bad since we live so close.

Love this place. Finding a refreshing taste in Kirkland for cheap is hard to find. They also have an excellent rewards program so it never hurts to get good for for a discount or free. All you can eat chips and salsa comes with your meal. I love the staff, they’re always helpful and friendly. I would definitely come as early as you can for lunch since it’s a pretty small area.

We have been here twice now, it’s not bad and it’s not great, if your on a taco bell budget and expect bang for your buck here your wrong, if your looking for something at like a Chilis restaurant that serves an upgraded version of mexican food that’s what your getting. Not great not bad somewhere to go when your too lazy to cook and all your girlfriend wants is food

Great food, fun atmosphere! What else can there be? It is also in a beat location, modern upscale building with good amenities. I’d go back again!

Food is good, but the prices are too high for the quality. Almost $ 20 for carne asada, and that was all we ordered.

I REALLY like this place. Food is great, and so is the service. I was happy to see some California faves on the menu,(Carne Asada fries) and a rather large selection of seafood. It is also steps from my home… and Juanita beach. If your in the neighborhood-check it out!

I really love the neighborhood that Mezcal is located in. It’s surrounded by 4 large apartment communities and only few minutes walk from the Juanita beach park. This place has outdoor seating, but if you’re not seated within the fenced area then it feels a little tight since you’re right next to the sidewalk where many pedestrians pass by. The staff was pretty nice and friendly with us. Our server was very sweet and took time to go over the menu. We received a free basket of tortilla chips and two empty bowls. The bowls are for you to self serve at the salsa bar. It’s nothing fantastic, but I personally like having options/variety. There were 7 different types. I ended mixing three together: pico de gallo, regular mild salsa, and habanero. It was way better that way since pico gave more thickness to the salsa. There’s also a spicy citrus avocado salsa which was not too bad. For my main entrée, I ordered the carne asada with camarones which came with rice, beans, and tortilla wraps. It wasn’t amazing; it was just ok. Definitely had better, but definitely have had worse. I’d say if I was craving Mexican and in the area that I probably wouldn’t be opposed to going back.

Fine Mexican food. Portions were small except for rice and beans. We ordered enchiladas and the steak tacos both were small and the steak tacos were about 4 pieces of cubed meat on a tortilla that was the size of a cookie(I have never seen corn tortillas that small)…looked more like an appetizer than a meal.

This is decent Mexican food with good customer service. We came here for brunch and ordered the breakfast burrito and omelet. There’s the option of getting hash browns with the burrito, and then with it on the side or in the burrito. On the suggestion of the server I got the hash browns inside, and it was really good. The omelet also came with rice and beans and was a pretty filling meal. Overall both the portion sizes were appropriate and we felt full without feeling stuffed. The salsa bar is pretty decent. There is a good range of different salsas, and I particularly liked the lime and avocado one. Service wise we were treated pretty well, and we were checked on regularly and had our food brought out promptly. We got there right on 11 when they opened though, and they weren’t ready to take customers for something like another 10 minutes. That was only a minor issue though because we were seated outside in the patio area and there was plenty of people watching. Since the food and service were both decent and it’s conveniently located, we wi probably be back again.

So disappointed. Although I shouldn’t have been considering that the area and location. This is not great Mexican food. The food did not measure up at all. It is casual but we were hoping it was a straight up taqueria because of the menu above the cash register. Turns out that is for take-out. So on top of the already jacked up prices, we had to leave a tip. And the food is way overpriced here for the quantities and quality you receive. Positives: They do have a nice salsa bar that includes pickled carrots(extra spicy!) and a Mexican slaw. The chips were very fresh(if a bit greasy). Food came out quickly. Service was good. And they have a happy hour. My husband’s plate was huge so good portion there($ 15). Restaurant is low key. Negatives: Wasn’t impressed for the most part with the salsas. Except for the slaw/pico de gallo(which was very good), they were thin and watery. They did have nice spice though. For $ 11 by fish burrito was sad and it also wasn’t very good. Dripping wet even though I had them put the sauce on the side. Yuck. My husband’s shrimp a la diabla was super oily. Flavor was good though. Margarita totally sucked. I couldn’t even tell there was tequila in that thing. Not even worth the happy hour price. And we were so looking forward to having a nice margarita. Bah.

My wife and I discovered this restaurant while living in Juanita Village; however, we continue to patronize the business even though we no longer live in an apartment above it. We like eating here becuase it’s casual, the food gets served quickly, the food relative to price is a good value, we enjoy the quality of the food, free parking is available, and the staff is very friendly.

My husband is recovering from tonsil cancer and Mezcal Grill is the only food, Mexican or otherwise, that he can taste. Definitely a plus in my book! The servers know what he likes and as soon as they see him they are preparing it. Great service. Susan Guidry

I’m definitely going in the opposite direction than most of the crowd here, because I actually loved this place. They have the best chips and salsa bar, the food came fast, and was excellent, the plate of food was enormous. I left feeling very happy, satisfied, and more than happy to go back. The prices are a little high, but I didn’t find the prices to be too out of the ordinary, especially for the area. I’ll go again, and keep you all updated on if we just happened to get lucky compared to other reviewers, but I liked it a lot, and I’m sticking to it!
