So glad to have discovered this place! TONS of excellent choices in wines from all over and at all price points. Plus, they have rotating wines you can sip on in store and they even have the football games on! Staff here is super friendly and the place is nice and cozy. Certainly a great find and recommended. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well.

Love coming here, but don’t do it as often as I would like. They always have different wines by the glass rotating, so it is fun to taste new wines and not get the same poured for you over and over again. The atmosphere is great during the summer since you can sit outside, but great during the fall season as well. Nothing fancy, but they are super good about having football on during Sundays. The wine selection is fabulous, and they have a good share of nice beers too. Always friendly. I haven’t ordered food from next door, but you can and bring it over to the shop. That is a nice bonus! And DOGFRIENDLY-YEA!

What a gem. At one point this was a best kept secret, store priced wine that you can drink on the spot! They have since added a small corkage fee, but still completely worth it. Hungry? You can order pizza from the Italian restaurant next door and the pizza is really good! The only thing that could make this place better is more outdoor seating but I can respect they are working with the cards they are dealt. They were able to expand the patio when they moved to new locations a few years back and space is still limited. I can’t think of another wine store like this, its truly unique and hope it stays for the long term, lets support it! While I love Delille Cellars, for what you pay at their tasting room at Sotheby’s upstairs, sneak down to Grape Choice and just buy a whole bottle. Trade secret! Enjoy!

This is hands down the best wine shop inthe eastside. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the people that work there are very knowledgeable about their selections. They have everything you can imagine in there from all over the globe. They do a great job as well carrying wines which are in season. I would recommend the tastings they have on Wednesdays. Great event and good to learn more about wines. Also the lake view can’t be beat.

Tucked behind Kirkland’s downtown marina, it may be overlooked. Cute wine shop, a huge selection, the owner said he liked to support local wineries, especially some little ones. They also have a refrigerated section and a tasting area. I went to the tasting bar, there were about 6 wines– 3 white, 3 red and maybe a special. The tastes ranged from $ 3 – 4 and glasses were from $ 8 – 11. I said I liked reds– Pinot Noir and Malbec and asked what he recommended I try– he had a Cab from Yakima valley that he said was lighter. Had a glass of that and people watched. There is a menu with standard bar fare– cheese plate, charcuterie, pretzels… This place has been around for over 20yrs, so it has its regulars. I personally loved that. The owner was busy putting stuff away, but was helpful when I had questions and gave me this winery guide when I asked about wineries in a certain WA region– score! Some of the regulars happen to be their two adorable dogs! So it is pet friendly.

Cute little wine bar to stop by. You choose your own bottle to purchase or can purchase a glass off of the menu. Outdoor seating and pet friendly! They have a cheese plate that is available to order, also have a little beer selection. You can order food from the restaurant next door and they will deliver to you! Pretty awesome place. Always a nice crowd of locals.

This is the place to go in Downtown Kirkland. The staff is so personable and knowledgeable. It’s social, and local. Great place to network and enjoy a fantastic wine experience. Not sure how anyone could rate this wine tasting shop as less than 5 stars. They don’t offer appetizers, so all they are doing is pouring wine of the customer choice, and sharing their knowledge when asked.

My friend and I had a living social deal and were very excited to check it out. When walking in we were even more excited to see all of the choices and cool vibe. However the service we received was terrible. When first ordering the waitress was very rushed. The table we sat at still needed to be busses and no one came to clean it off. It then took over an hour to get out appetizers that we ordered(a cheese plate and a meat plate). When she finally brought it out she told us she had forgot. We definitely did not feel taken care of. The wine we had was good but didn’t make up for the overall experience.

Popped in here on Saturday night for wine and apps. It’s a bit hidden behind marina park, and has a lovely little patio area. Unfortunately, no tables were available outside except for a barrel with a few uncomfortable bar stools, so we settled for a table inside. You order at the bar and the glass selections were all reasonably priced.

Great local wine shop with knowledgeable staff. I tried the Numbskull for a full bodies red and it was lovely! I would definitely go back again if ever in this area.

One of the few places in Kirkland with an outside patio and a lake view! Right next to Marina Park, this little gem is a good one! Wines by the glass are thoughtfully selected and the bottle prices are not discouraging either. Order a small plate or an artisan Pizza from next door.

Nice place to browse wines, sip wines, and converse. Low dark ceiling makes it feel a bit like a wine cellar. Outdoor seating available. Cheese/sausage/hummus available. My wife and I have stopped in here a couple of times for a glass of wine and had good discussion. My office mates once had a goodbye party for a departing friend here, with wine from the store and snacks brought in from the outside. Was pleasant.

Fantastic little wine spot! If your in the mood to do some wine tasting, or even just feel like buying a bottle, sitting outside and chatting with friend, this is the place for you. Wine selection is fantastic, the staff was wonderful. You can bring your dog with you and your own food and just enjoy some lovely wine. Well priced. I would recommend checking this out. As for Prices, it depends on the wine, they have glasses for $ 7 or you can buy a bottle ranging a lot of different prices. Great place!

Do you love wine? Do you love dogs? If you answered yes to either of these(or both) then you must check this establishment out. One of our favorite places to come when looking for a glass(or bottle) of wine or beer to enjoy with our pooch. They have a great selection to take home or enjoy in their cozy store or on the patio. They also allow you to order or bring in food from the local establishments. Definitely a great place to come with your pooch!

This might be my favorite place I have ever been. I have been going to grape choice for years now. Best atmosphere, wonderful people that work there! Love it! Outside seating in the summer is amazing. Very relaxed place to be

I have visited here twice in the past year. They do have a great selection of wine. Totally love it! Their beer selection is also great but not super extensive. But of course I understand you cannot compare this place with grocery store that carries almost all brands of beer. I did not have much of interaction with its staff so I cannot comment as much. They seem nice, though.

These guys have given off a great vibe one way or another for quite a while now. It’s always been abundantly clear that they’re doing cool things and they’re doing them all the way right, but I had never actually come in and plunked down my money(or anyone else’s) until last night. First off, this place situates itself well, apart a bit from the madding crowd. It’s got a great Lake Washington view, and it’s strung right in along the whole Marina waterfront. But it doesn’t play host to the chattering hordes that you see up at The Slip(speaking of… wasn’t it not too long ago that The Slip was a place for a *quiet* drink? Am I misremembering this altogether?). It’s down on ground level on the edge of the parking lot, with a recessed patio where you can sit and sip. Foremost, though, this place is a wine store. It’s decorated like a nice wine cellar, which gives its merchandising approach some real balance. You certainly can’t hope to court sufficient business in this part of the 425 without acknowledging the upscale demographic, but you don’t want to just mindlessly spend money decorating the store. That will make some people wonder how much of the sticker price is for the wine, and how much is for your furniture. So they strike the perfect balance by stacking up wooden wine cases and other things you see in wine cellars in tony homes. Mostly stuff that seems like something you would get with a purchase at a winery you frequent. It gives the store some dimension and presence without distracting from the wine. And, man, there’s a lot of wine. Beautifully laid out, almost all of it interesting. If you really like, you can see a couple box wines on the floor in a corner here and there, but there are tons of fantastic things, and tons more things that must be fantastic but I’d never heard of them, and have forgotten all the names already. I’ve always heard that these guys do a great job hosting tastings, and I’ve been to a homebrew club meeting here in their upstairs tasting room, which is really nice. Just like downstairs, it’s a great balance of informality and seriousness of intent in a fairly relaxed and unpretentious setting. It was so cool of them to open the upstairs to us, and I’ve always wanted to come back as a customer. Glad I finally did. They have an ongoing program of wines by the glass, which appear to rotate now and then. Tried a couple things last night which were both overly sweet for the style(priorat and prosecco). That’s probably a well-considered business decision on their part, though. Likely they sell a number of glasses of wine to people who just want something yummy. If I understood him correctly, though, they will uncork anything that catches your eye and pour it for you. You can drink inside, or out on the patio. Inside, you get the company of the affable host of the proceedings, as well as Akita the wooly hound. Outside, you get a little oasis of calm in the middle of Kirkland’s nattering waterfront scene. There’s a restaurant next door that offers table service to the patio, which is a great touch. There’s also a neighborhood psychic with a flair for guerrilla marketing, if the business card left under my windshield wiper is any indication. Other than the occasional trivia night at the Wilde Rover, this section of Kirkland has a pretty hard time justifying(for me) its traffic and parking hassles. But if and when it happens not to be crowded(i.e., if it’s not a gorgeous summer night), you could certainly do worse than a glass of wine at the Grape Choice.
