Good place for a quick shot and to move on. No good seating other than right at the bar, which isn’t the most appealing spot. The bar tender was fine, poured our drinks and was quick to ask if we wanted another.

This is where you go when you have lost all hope. When every other bar has failed you, and the drinks have missed their mark. When you really want to fight somebody because you accidentally scuffed their super ugly Nike’s. When you really need to find a girl who has drifted a lit to far from the realm of sobriety. When you really need a good laugh, and to feel better about yourself… Tiki’s comes in clutch. Plus theres the little game where you try to get the hoop on the little totem poles little totem pole.

Tiki’s is poppin on Thursday. Dj spinning good music, great drinks, diverse crowd. Hot girls. My friend got kicked out though on his 21st bday. All good!

Nice enough bar. I was a newcomer and could feel it was a local bar where everyone knows each other. I came in their fuming after a bad experience at the crappy Central Tavern next door. It was a uplifting to be in a bar where the bartender treats you like a customer and not your slave. Read my other review on Central to find out. Anyhow, the bar has a nice atmosphere to it and is open, not stuffy and hot like many other bars in the area. I may have downgraded my review to 4 stars, as I kind of felt the people were cliquey and reserved there. However, knowing this is Seattle and that is the nature of the people, I cannot hold it against them. I feel maybe if you become a regular here, people will open up to you. It was weird, but everyone at the bar seemed to know each other and be buddy buddies. I liked how people were laughing, talking and socializing rather than just keeping to themselves and ignoring each other which is all too typical for bars on a weeknight in the Puget Sound, especially in Seattle. Oh yeah, this bar has loads of beautiful, young 20 something females the night I was there. It was a Tuesday night, so I was surprised to see ladies there. In Seattle, usually you will not find women in a bar socializing. Most Seattle area bars seem like a sausage fest, although I don’t spend much time in Kirkland. I can say I enjoyed the gender diversity :D Anyway, it seems like a mellow bar and a place I could stop by, relax and have drink. It seems like a neighborhood bar, but more relaxed and friendly than more divier neighborhood bars like Leny’s Place in Seattle. Both bars have Angry Orchard on tap and the prices are equal to each other. Not sure how strong the mixed drinks are, but maybe I will find out next time.

Tiki Joe’s Wetbar is a good place for young 20 year old’s. The dance floor isn’t that big but there can be a decent amount of people looking to dance. The summer time is the best time to go. I was a little upset when the bouncer bent my ID and made a crease in it. I said«Was that necessary?» His response was«It will be OK.»

Jessica and Curtis are such lovely, attentive bartenders. There spirit and attentiveness makes this place MAGIC! this is your typical divey-dancey Kirkland bar but you are sure to get into good spirits at this bar if you can look past the décor!

My first time to the Tiki and it was interesting. A lady brought her dog into the bad and several people were smoking in there even though law states you cannot smoke in bars. This place is a cheap dive bar that does not even fit close to Kirkland standards. WIth that being said, service was good and the price was right. They really need food as without it, our stop turned into a 20 minute venture.

This place is fine if you’re just looking to go out, get cheap drinks, and get a little wasted in a youthful slosh house. However, Don’t make the mistake of leaving your credit card overnight. The staff there seems to think its reasonable to automatically tip themselves 25% on cards left overnight. Wow. I wouldn’t tip 10% at this place, as the bartenders are rude as hell, make mixed drinks like crap, and wear backwards baseball hats. I will never go back.

Beware of price changes especially in within thirty minutes! Just watch out and don’t just buy it without looking at your receipts!!!

Tiki Joe’s is a dive bar– it is not your high priced, super fancy corporate or upscale bar. It is important to remember that when going. Tiki Joe’s has features karaōke, music videos and great drink specials. The location is a good venue for a small get together for a fun night out. It does have a bit of an older client base which can be good and bad.

So here I am sitting in Tiki Joes this is my third time at this bar and my first 2 visits while they were not the best but they were pleasant and the DJ was playing some nice music so I was ok with the immature kids stepping all over my shoes and falling to the ground after having too much to drink. Then I encountered the most disrespectful bar staff I have ever met there was a female bartender with the most nasty attitude I have ever encountered and her side kick bartender was even worst. They spent most of the time laughing and taking with their friends around the bar. When I asked to be served good luck with that. I will never be back here I would for the music but if the service will be like this then NOPE I would rather crank the sound system in my car. For the DJ on 11÷2÷13 I give a 5 star for this place I give a 0 it’s a pity Unilocal only as a 1 star as the minimum.

We were out at this place very briefly at the beginning of the summer. We were hitting up local bars in the area with a big«Pub Crawl». The drinks were not super expensive and they were fairly good. It was a fun place to go to with a big group, but a little cheesy for my taste.

To everyone ranting that Tikis is a a dive bar that is dirty, tiny and full of Kirkland douches, well your ranting about a dive bar in Kirkland and I am not sure how Tikis does not meet your expectations! For the record I goto Tikis every Friday for beers with my buddy, we sit on the sidewalk stools and enjoy the car show driving by. Alicia keeps the beers cold and fresh and is always super friendly. We are happy up until 9pm when we quickly make a break for the door before the douche tsunami arrives. Therefore I give a 3 stars and a «A-OK» because before 9pm Tikis is exactly that, a good place to sit and have a cold beer with a buddy. After 9pm, well, its Kirkland and Kirkland sucks hairgel after 9pm so deal with it.

lol It’s definitely a dirty ass bar that reminds you of some back alley bar in Cabo on Spring Break. By 11PM on a Friday, everyone was drunk(including me) and dancing. You don’t go here for a nice glass of wine over candles, just get that clear. It’s just a great place to dance out your drunkness. Saw a lot of hot guys, although they were definitely the bro types not gonna lie. And with that of course you will inevitably see guys who comprise the more douchier end of bro-ness, with spiked hair and Dolce sunglasses. haha Whatever, it doesn’t bother me. I only came to have fun with my friends. Fun place to stop by when you bar hopping with friends in Kirkland.

Sketchy. Sticky. Crappy DJ. Strong Drinks. You’re typical young college like bar.

College bar feel for Kirkland prices! I am used to the college bar prices and Kirkland does not provide this! They serve the drinks quick. One night I saw a poster for 2.50 you-call-it shooters. This is pretty sweet until you order a round of 6 shots at 12:03 and they charge you $ 48(8 per shot) because that special only goes until midnight. No disclaimer on the posters, no disclaimer from the bartender(who I had already order several drinks from ANDTIPPED well!)… Will not be going back there soon. I’ve never been in love with the Kirkland bar scene and two of the more popular places are shut down as well(Shark Club and Lakeview). Seattle is MUCH better than Kirkland!

We were looking for something fun when Purple closed, so we walked down to Tiki Joe’s. Really looking for a fun place open late in downtown Kirkland for a 30-something crowd. Tiki Joe’s is definitely an early 20’s place. There’s drunken dancing, schlocky décor, tiny bathrooms, and no room. They serve the drinks quickly and the location is great, but … I will pass unless I’m trying to relive my past. Pass.

Call me 6 years ago when i had just turned 21 and i would have given Tiki’s 6 stars. Now that i’ve put on my big girl panties and graduated from the Kirkland night life I have more to compare to Tikis and therefore it gets only 2. The place is tiny, but the décor is fun! Everyone loves Jimmy Buffet. Fortunately the drinks are poured STRONG, so get ready for a shit show, if you can keep up. I honestly don’t know how to review Tiki’s without bashing it too much. it’s a great bar but just not my scene these days. it’s just hard for me to sit in that small of a space with that many underage douche bags. The end.

I can’t believe I’m writing a review about Tiki Joe’s because that’s admitting that I’ve been there. I will never be back… unless I’m in the mood to catch an STD or have someone pee on me… which is NEVER. This place is disgusting and makes me feel like I’m drinking in a run down shack. Yes, there’s no cover. Yes, drinks are cheap. Maybe I’m getting old — but I think it’s worth it to pay to drink at a place where you won’t catch something gross if your jacket accidentally falls on the floor. Really young crowd — I’m guessing the kind of young that’s too poor to find somewhere better to drink. I wish they would close down already so something better can open in it’s location. Die Tiki Joes Die.

If you are looking to grab a drink without waiting in the insane lines at Lake Street across the way, stop in to Tiki Joe’s! Drinks are really tasty and the bar staff is really friendly. Didn’t have cover either, which is really rare for Kirkland. A cool place to check out, sit and have a drink or two. Spend some time chatting up the bartenders, you never know what might end up coming your way… As is always the case, if you are drinking in Kirkland, make sure you aren’t driving as the cops have NOTHING better to do then drive around the main drag and look for people to pull over.
