Nice neighborhood spot with great food at great prices. Fabulous selection of beer. Tastes for every mood.

I’ve only been here once, but had a blast! Lots of beers on tap, darts, pool, plus outdoor area with Jenga and corn-hole. Two thumbs up in my book!

Can’t beat 4 tacos for $ 2!!! Drinks are slightly over priced but come in Thursday for tacos and it makes it ok

Haven’t been in since the re-model, but this place is awesome for NFL games. Every game is on big TVs and tons of seating. Good prices and pretty friendly bartenders. Pool wasn’t bad either for night drinking.

Win. Their bartender tonight was great. Only a few of us there so he cleaned around us and kept it open so we could play pool.

I had to revisit this review. Why? Because it’s a different bar. I don’t know who woke up one day and decided to remodel the place, but it’s a different bar. Just about everything has been renovated; they even took out the metal, ice-filled urine trough and replaced it with actual urinals. Throw in several new flat screens, track lighting and an electronic beer list and I don’t even know where I’m at any more. They’re even pouring great beer now — for f*cks sake, I had a pitcher of Racer X in there yesterday. I can’t give them five stars because, well, it’s a dive bar. But for what it’s worth, I’m in there at least once a week now and one of the guys in our group actually considered bringing his wife in for a pre-date drink.

2 stars for the amount of televisions and amount of seating. We love the spot next door for breakfast so thought we would stop into Pub 85 for a drink next time we were looking for a quick chilly beverage. The place has no atmosphere aside from the televisions. The staff… the most non-expressive and dull I may have ever had at a bar. I’m a smiley and sweet gal, I couldn’t get a smile out of the bartender for anything! It was a cold and awkward vibe. We politely paid our tab, guzzled our drink and left. No repeat visit to Pub 85 for this gal.

Bad service and what kind of sports bar has karaōke when a local team is on tv? Load, reeks of cigarette smoke(find your server having a smoke break) and the food is medicore(but hey, it’s cheap). Never going back.

This is my favorite dive bar. It’s a very clean dive bar with a bunch of flat screen TVs to watch games mind you. A whole lot of beer varieties, and decent selection of scotch and bourbon. I’m happy. Their crispy chicken wings are pretty good. I have not tried any of the other food so I can’t speak to the menu. I’ve noticed some negative reviews there. I hope people reviewing it are reviewing it as a dive bar not some some upscale sports bar with specialty cocktails.

I need an option for zero stars. I love a dive bar, so I’m not looking for fancy, but this place is awful. Worst bar I’ve found on the Eastside. Or maybe Washington. Non existent and rude staff and every beer and cocktail tasted wrong. I don’t even understand how they made it so bad. Never again.

Best Wings on the East Side! When on the East Side I always drop in for several bowls of wings & beer. The Wednesday wing special is perfict. As a wing connoisseur I love this place, it’s my #1 wing place for over 5 years! Pub 85’s staff is very friendly and deals with my bizarre wants and needs. But that’s I keep coming back for more. Now if your into beer they have at least 24 taps going at anytime so you will get a flavor to spill on yourself. The bar & restaurant menu is superb, something for everyone if you get what I’m saying! Jump in the car and see for yourself!

Bartender told me I needed to come to the bar and order even though im just trying to grub and don’t care for alcohol. Also told me I was being difficult by ordering a cranberry juice with soda water. Also happens to be the only employee working tonight so she is making my burger right now and serving drinks simultaneously. Hmm…

Horrible service! The waitresses are extremely rude! I went there with my family for a ufc fight on a saturday night. The first lady that helped us was rude enough but the second one(really tall skinny woman) was at another level. We were having pitchers and food and when we asked for water she said they didnt give out free water and turned around. I wasnt asking for anything free!!! Many other times on that same night she gave us bad answers and was treating everyone like crap. I told her she was being rude and she told us not to come back. Ps: all other tables were complaining about her as well. DONTSPENDURMONEYAT A PLACEWHERETHEYTREATYOULIKETHIS!

Definitely a dive bar but it’s the only bar on the Eastside where you can watch hockey. The girls have always been sweet. Plus the fried green beans are awesome!

Decent variety of beers on tap. We stopped in for the UW game and the place was fairly empty but service was horrible. After our first beer and food were delivered to the table, our waitress never came back — we had to go find her to pay our tab. Lots of TVs for games.

To be really honest I’ve driven by this place about a million times and never thought to give it a try. From the outside it seems kind of hick. The kinda joint where you would find only old white 80s rock band bikers chillin and grabbing a beer. I wondered into this joint regardless. Everybody there from the frequent patrons, to the bartender and door man welcomed me and introduced themselves. They were all pretty friendly. It’s an old semi run down joint with your typical dart boards and a few flatscreens; the epitome of a dive bar. I was in a good mood here. Grabbed two beers, gave the bartender 15 bucks and left at closing.

Ignore the haters this place is badass. Yes it’s a little dive-y with all the things that go with that: mediocre bar food, iffy bathrooms, suspect clientele and occasionally surly waitresses(they’re people too, and very nice if you’re not a dick). That being said: great prices, great beer selection, the best tv setup I’ve seen in the area for watching every nfl game(and no cover for UFC)

This is a great place for sport fans and the food is also just as good as a red Robin and if you happen to like Chicken wings, get yourself a bakers dozen of these wing dingers. Come for the sports, stay for the food.

Pub 85 is what it tries to be; a place where you can get a beer, a hamburger, watch a game, and play a game of pool or darts. It also has free wireless. Thursday night is Taco Thursday when tacos are 2 for $ 1. I know this sounds ridunkulous but I bring my own hot sauce, theirs takes like ketchup.

At first I thought this place was okay. Yeah it’s kind of a dive, but it’s not enough of a dive to where you wouldn’t want to go there. It’s the kind of dive that you would go to and be impressed with yourself for going to a dive bar. They have a pool table, dart boards, and tv’s all over the place. And the food wasn’t bad. The reason I’m giving it such a low rating is the service. While there with a large group, we had a couple more people come. When they got there one of them waved at the bartender to come over and take some more orders. Keep in mind we were a decent sized group drinking and eating, as in spending money. Anyway, the bartender came over and here is the conversation that went down: Bartender — Don’t ever snap at me. Friend — I didn’t snap I waved Me —(thinking the bartender was joking) yeah dude, don’t be a jackass Friend — I didn’t snap Bartender —(leaning over friend seriously) I’m just saying don’t ever snap at me I then realized the bartender was being serious, and being a prick. My buddy waived at him in a friendly way to get his attention, not in the way rude customers do to get service. It was shortly after this that we paid our bill and left. We probably would have stayed longer and spent more if not for the bartender. We also won’t be returning, as there are plenty of other bars in the area.
