Worse bar ever. I came here with a few friends for drinks and bar tender tried to put some random persons tab on my tab because the random exchanged a few words with us at the bar. How lame?! Dont trust these guys keeping a tab open. This place is lame and will most likely close. Poor service and drinks are horrible so just stick to the beer on tap if you end up here.

This place is closed. Does not surprise me. Hopefully someone will put a real business in this location.

Definitely not my kind of place. Dragged here by friends to watch the game and yuk. I’ve had better food from catering trucks. The place just seemed seedy, dirty and just kind of gross. Well, like Mom always said, «if you can’t say anything nice…» Over and out.

Cheap drinks is about all that its good for here. The food was gross. Came here to watch the game hang out with some friends when Lucia’s became too crowded. Probably won’t be back here.

This place is a dank dirty hole in the wall that looks like the set of Cheers. So I love it. If you’re like me and have a strange love for dive bars, you’ll like Park Place Pub. They don’t try to hide the fact that it’s a shut down TGI Fridays, complete with tacky décor and red/white awnings, and non-functional waiter’s stations. It tends to be pretty quiet, and the place is far bigger than it needs to be, but they don’t care because their rent is cheap and the building is getting ripped down next year. Beer selection is decent and service is great. But the food… even I don’t hate my body that much. Eat before you go.

Probably the worst bar food I’ve ever had. Any review of this place that is higher than 1 star is fake. The owners could have just picked a random guy off the streets to be their chef, as obviously whoever they hired has no culinary training what-so-ever.

Good beer selection. Pretty bad food. The music they were playing was ridiculous for the setting and strange altogether(gangsta rap and some 90’s pop songs). The patio is great though. We’ll probably go back if we are in the area looking for a beer and if the weather is nice so we can chill on the patio. But we certainly won’t be going out of our way to go there.

Average pub food, generous portions and friendly staff. I’ve eaten here a couple of times and haven’t been disappointed.

Ok place-I agree about the staff comment. Very indifferent. Esp the bartenders. Hopefully the deck will be the spot this summer.

Food was REALLY good but super greasy but so is all bar food. Great cheese sticks. Went after the gym next door. Bad idea. Great electronic juke box, great selection of local beers, including Black Raven IPA. In old TGI Friday’s Kirkland Parkplace location. They literally inherited everything when TGIF shut down unexpectedlym down to the liquor and the money in the safe, which was claimed. :) Kind of empty other than a bar and a pool table and jukebox. Friendly fun staff.

Not bad but no character in this location and very indifferent staff.

So let me get this straight… they reopened in the old TGI Friday’s location, only it’s not TGI Friday’s, but they kept the dumb red and white awnings outside, kept an almost exact replica of the previous menu, but they took out seating and the decent service you get with Friday’s…yeah, this should work. Less seating, same menu and worse service– BRILLIANT! All right– so maybe it was just that the bartender hated us… after all we were two reasonably well dressed couples that ordered food and drinks, kept to ourselves and weren’t pains in the asses– of course he should have treated us like we were bugging him. Why wouldn’t he? We were clearly asking for it. The only time I actually was a pain in the ass was when I refused to drink my tap beer because the lines clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time and my beer was flat and tasted funny– he gave me a bottle instead and I was a happy camper– but the damage was already done– I’d already done irreparable harm to his night and his family and we couldn’t be friends anymore. It would have been nice to have gotten an itemized bill because I’m 99% positive that he overcharged me– but I paid my tab with a dreamy smile, longing for the good ol’ days of cookie cutter corporate restaurants and all their stupid rules about being friendly and helpful to their paying customers.

It’s actually ok. I can see why others don’t like it if they expected TGI — I didn’t really like TGI anyway, so that part didn’t bother me. What I DO think they should most definitely change is making it family friendly. It used to be the perfect place to take your kids and go to the movies or the park or whatever. Other that that, I like the dart boards and the food’s not terrible. Let kids back in and we’ll show up more often.

First time to check out this restaurant on Tuesday night. Service was slow(bartender & one wait staff) and the restaurant was very quiet. However price is decent compared with other places in DT. Burgers were huge and taste above average.

We went here a little while ago, thinking it was still the TGI Fridays. It was most definitely not. It still retains the barbershop striping on the awnings, but the inside décor is some sort of hybrid between a junkshop and a country bbq house. They had signs up for beer they didn’t even have. So much for my usual point and grunt ordering. The food was OK for your average pub; the portions were fairly large, and the food wasn’t overly bland or overly salty. The quality was quite lacking, however, as the dishes looked slapped together without much attempt at cohesiveness. The alcohol prices were in the average-high range for a pub, and they were fairly good, but then again it’s kind of hard to mess up keg beer. The service was actually pretty decent considering the setting, as the waitress we had came over quite frequently and they were pretty fast about taking orders, bringing drinks, etc. Unfortunately, the clientele took away from what good feeling the wait staff left. Most of the crowd was in the late 30’s to 50’s range, and most of them ogled my friend every time she got up for the restroom or something. Not a great place for anybody in their 20’s.

Almost lived up to expectations, which were perhaps too high. Service was great, very attentive. Food was hit and miss. We tried this on the basis of some newspaper reviews and word of mouth that the food was pretty good, even if the décor was still the old(emphasis on old) TGIF. The evening was sunny and warm and we were quickly greeted and seated on the patio. Even though we weren’t in the mood for adult beverages, the wait staff continued to be attentive and friendly. The Santa Fe chicken burger I ordered had great green chile flavor, but the bun was way too soft for the somewhat chewy chicken breast and fell apart on the first bite. The fries that came with it were greasy and limp, with just the hint of crunch. Her blackened chicken pasta had good blackened flavor, but could have used a bit more heat. She had no complaints about the pasta. The garlic bread lacked real garlic bite. We’re not going to be in a rush to get back to the Pub, even though it may be more convenient for us than other places. But we won’t turn down an invitation to meet someone there, either.

This place sucks. They didn’t bother changing any of the interior so it’s basically a TGIF with equally as crappy food and a very limited beer selection.
