I love this place and get my lunch here all the time. I have never been disappointed or had a bad experience I can walk in and order to go and they have it done in less than 15 minutes. In all transparency the thing I get here for lunch pretty much every time is the broccoli chicken cause it is so damn good. I feel satisfied afterward and it really keeps me energized to the end of the day. You also feel like you had a decently healthy meal with no food coma afterward. It’s a bit pricy for just lunch but the quality is really high so it is worth it.

Huge menu but we came here for Teriyaki and the California Roll. Both were good. Service was excellent. Portions were fine. It was pricey but the food was fine for Teriyaki. Most places seem to give huge portions but what they really do is load you up on rice… This had a nice meat to rice ratio.

Jiro… doesn’t dream of this sushi. Sushi is 90% about the rice, said Jiro, but the rice here is so bad(dry, hard and cheap) that it brings down every dish. Similar fundamental problems plague other core bento staples that they lose stars for the food quality despite knowing how it /should/look and taste. The second problem with Tokyo Stop is the lack of cleanliness. It’s disorganized and kinda sad looking inside. Décor is equally depressing, with a Maury Povich clone on the TV laying down background yelling over the meal. They get a few points for the friendly service, though, so it’s not a total loss. Still, there are better teriyaki places nearby.

Great food for the price. Quick service, great prices, the sushi is actually very good by any measure(sushi bento is awesome) and the owners are very, very nice. Only complaint is the green tea is usually cooked to death in the hot pot by the early evening, but seeing as it’s free, you can hardly call it a complaint. Whenever my ambulance is sent to kirkland, sushi stop is where I go. Also right in the strip mall is a great Thai place(little pricier) and a great dumpling house. Basically everything Asian you could ask for short of phở. Personally though I prefer the Tokyo stop most for the speed and price.

Overpriced and yet small portions for take out. Not too friendly either. I Love Teriyaki is way better. I won’t be going back to this restaurant.

CA roll now up to $ 6.95. They only actually had 1⁄3 the fish on their sushi menu. Slow service. Overpriced. Tacky signage inside.

BEST Teriyaki Ever!!! I have been going to this hidden gem for years. It is family owed and every time I order I know its going to taste the same. I recently stopped by after moving out of the area and I ordered my favorite combo Chicken and Pork with a side of Gyoza. So yummy! When I worked down the street I used to stop by for lunch a couple times a week. The food quality is really great. The owners are really friendly and we always chat when I come in. Very rare to find such great food with great service. Life long customer.

This place is a very tiny but cozy place to eat. It definitely feels very authentic, and has pretty tasty food. One thing I did like is their giant menu, the prices aren’t too bad and they’ve got a good variety. I would say this is a great place for lunch, or a quick bite to eat. One downside to this place is you do have to purchase a minimum of $ 7.50 or you will be charged a fee. But other than that, I would highly recommend!

Tasty Teriyaki! Quite easy to overlook, but you really should stop in. The place is small, but the menu is HUGE. I ordered the«Spicy Chicken»… and it’s WAY savory. It’s about a 1 on the 1 – 10 scale for spicy though. :-/ Beware though, if you order less than $ 7 of food, they’ll impose a fee if you pay by credit-card. :-( (Luckily, their spicy teriyaki is just over $ 8) :-p

My favorite Teriyaki and Sushi place in the area! My family and I have been coming here for years and we love it. The service is wonderful and the staff is always so friendly. He remembers us every time we come in. The sushi is always so fresh and the rolls he makes are fantastic. We will continue to enjoy this little spot for a long time.

This place has, under many different names, been serving up teriyaki to the denizens of Rose Hill for years and years and years. It looks like it is moving away from the Tokyo Stop moniker and will just be called Tokyo Teriyaki and Sushi soon; the sign is hand-updated. You walk in and it’s much nicer than it used to be. There are big bright clear signs over the register. There’s a sushi bar off to the right, though you can’t sit right at the bar. There are lots of comfortable tables and there’s a small flat-screen TV. They do a ton of to-go orders, and the dining room has a come and go feel, but overall it’s much closer to feeling like a restaurant than most yaki joints, even though you order at the counter and the drinks are fountain and bottle style. The service is really friendly and the prices are perfectly fair. The chicken breat teriyaki is juicy and clearly made to order – the prep actually takes a while(answered two longish emails on my phone while I waited). The extra spicy is not all that spicy. The side veg by default is an iceberg mix with a sweet vinaigrette. Bottom line, there’s no real shortcoming here, but there’s better yaki across 85th at Nasai.

I think the Chicken Teriyaki here is excellent, among the best I’ve tasted. The ambiance has a very warm/homey feel to it, as there’s wood paneling and a warm paint color, on the walls. The people who work there are nice. Overall it’s a very nice place to go for a meal.

I absolutely love food from here. My sister orders the following for takeout: Chicken Teriyaki, Yakisoba, Tonkatsu and Beef Teriyaki. All of it was so delicious, I am always looking forward to eating the left overs, however there usually isn’t any because we eat it all.

The teriyaki is a joke. We paid over $ 9 for the chicken and katsu combo, which isn’t crazy if you get decent portions, but the portions here are the smallest I’ve seen and I’ve seen them all. Down the road at Niko teriyaki, no exaggeration, you get more than double the food and it tastes better. This way the $ 9 is justified because you can share or eat two meals. Another sign of a struggling business(besides cutting portions) is to nickel and dime the customer for things like making a dish spicy, or extra sauce. There are signs all over this place reminding you these are not free. At Niko you can take all the sauce you want with no stink eye. They even offer containers for sauces to go, at no charge. I live right down the road from Tokyo stop and I’ll never go back.

Wow. What a surprise. What I thought was going to be a run of the mill Teriyaki joint, turned out to be a hidden gem on the Eastside for sushi. Upon arriving, we promptly sat down with anticipation of a waitress to come over and hand us menus. We were told to come up the register and order off of the huge wall menu. Ok no biggie, although I wouldve liked an in hand menu to sit down and review, I was already ready to order what was referred from previous Unilocal reviews. We ordered three rolls. The volcano roll, the playboy roll and the crunch roll. The price for all three rolls totaled 30 bucks. Pretty pricey for a tucked away«teriyaki» joint. At that point im expecting something pretty damn good. We sat down after I set the table with napkins, and chopsticks. About 20 minutes goes by and we are getting a little anxious being that we were two of four people in the restaraunt. And they did not disappoint! All three rolls were really good! Huge pieces, good portions of each ingreident in the rolls, the ingredients were fresh and all three had great flavor combinations! I was seriously surprised! Although I still think their specialty rolls are a little pricey, they’re really good! I’ve heard nothing but good things about their teriyaki selections, but they’re sushi is definitely worth checking out. If I was voting strictly on the food alone, it would be a five. But for customers who are dining in, the whole«do it yourself attitude», like us filling our own water cups and setting our own table, is something they should improve on for customers who want to eat there. And they also do not serve beer or Saki. Either way, the sushi was great! I will be back! Next time to try the spicy teriyaki that everyone seems to love. To be continued…

Brrrrr! I just got back from lunch there with my friend Kevin where we both were unable to enjoy our meals because it was too cold. We each had our winter coats on and it was entirely too cold indoors(if I had to guess, I’d say mid-to-lower 50s). I did learn that I can sort-of use chopsticks while wearing winter gloves, though. Even the woman running the cash register was wearing a down-filled parka. I doubt they need to worry about refrigerating anything there since the room temperature in wintertime seems to be the same as the outside temperature. If you are wondering about the food, it’s actually quite good. Bring a parka or come back in July.

It’s good ya’ll. The sushi rolls are your typical, but they are well made, although it seems there’s only one sushi chef so sometimes if it’s busy you might have slow service. I like their yakisoba. It has a sweetness to it, and it’s a big plate with a small serving of rice. DOUBLEWHAMMYCARBS! The price is right, and they have a wide selection with pretty pictures to help. Go Fer It!

I have not tried the sushi because you have to wonder about how quickly they can move the raw fish, but I did see some take out orders of sushi, something I’ve just never done. We get the family dinners and they are reasonable at $ 24 for food for four, though I only need for three. But it makes a nice lunch the next day. It is a teriyaki place, but it has a nice mix of chicken katsu, udon, spicy chicken, sweet pork and the beef has a nice ginger flavor. Pretty good for«fast food teriyaki»
