Value Village

This location has a pretty good selection of items. Probably the best of the several I visited. They had a wide variety of shoes and in good condition. However I find it really hard to want to pay $ 40 for a used pair of boots regardless of the quality. I really liked them but in the end couldn’t bring myself to buy them.
There are lots of aisles of clothing and unless you know what you want you could definitely spend a few hours going through the racks. It’s also spacious too, there is plenty of room to move between racks and the clothing aren’t all crammed in which some places do making it impossible to look through the racks.
I want to visit again sometime when I have time to look.

Back when I was doing my thrift fish tank hunts I would stop at this location regularly. Scored an amazing 10 gallon tank with a beautiful black pine stand with everything needed in a setup for 20 $, buying that new would’ve been well over 200 $. The three stars is for the occasional good deals here. I don’t really look at clothes or anything other than electronics or homeware but I can say a few things. This location is small. Or at least it feels small with the layout, they only allow you to enter and exit through one door which is annoying since there are 3 doors. But hey I guess that’s the only way to stop shoplifting. Other then a few awesome finds I honestly haven’t seen anything worth getting excited about. I’ll still drop by from time to time to check things out.

The only thrift store that still believes in thrift store prices. Had a great experience today, got some great furniture and the guy who helped me the most was only on his first day so good on whomever does the highing/​training

Value Village is way out of line for their price structure. Being they pay pennies on the dollar for items and are a for profit company (not a charity as many believe) the chain is making millions in profits at the expense of those in need. The store is dirty, staff is not available to help and items are overpriced. One example is charging upwards of $ 1.00 for a used Trader Joes food container– complete with the original Trader Joes product label and the jar not even being clean. Heck for just a little more you can buy the full product with product and a lid at Trader Joes down the street. Value Village should be ashamed at this store.

this location has really fallen on hard times. Couple of years ago they used to be that place where you found fair prices placed on the items they have for sale.
It is was the previous visits that always made thrifting a real treat and enjoyable.
Nowadays there doesn’t appear to be much value in value village and the value has been replaced by greed.

There are some «good deals» there but not so sure about the «good deeds.» How much are the charities really making from this ‘deal?’ The Minnesota Attorney General’s lawsuit against Savers earlier this spring has me concerned about this Value Village too.

I donate a lot of stuff here, but haven’t been in here shopping for quite a while. The store is big and easy to maneuver through, and things are generally well marked.
It was a mob scene when I stopped in on Memorial Day weekend, yet it felt really well managed. There was a wait for dressing rooms, but they were calling numbers over the speaker so that people could keep shopping rather than stand and wait.
I found what I was looking for with ease — a large white men’s shirt — and though the pricing was a little high on some of them, I did find one that worked for six dollars which isn’t a bad deal.
I scored big in the cookbook selection, finding three pristine James Beard cookbooks for two or three dollars each.
There were loads of checkout stands open, which was great, they managed to keep things moving and even process a couple of returns quickly. I was impressed with how well run the store was.
Bottom line: the selection is hit or miss, like most thrift stores, but there are some finds here, and it’s a well run, well laid out store.

Clean great prices especially compared to the goodwill I can’t wait to go back and they have a very friendly professional staff

This is probably my least favorite value village in entire wa state. I no longer come here for 3 main reasons.
1.) They have young teeny boppers who are only there to socialize with each other and don’t interact with customers at all except wen ur done shopping then ask you 3 times in a row. «How are you today» a sec later. «How are you doing today» 10 sec later how’s ur day been”
Whatever. Jus don’t talk to me if ur gonna ask something that u don’t even hear the answer to the first time. They hear it) they jus are in own heads bout who they will be getting head from next within their work circle. They are all so unprofessional n are not ready for jobs… maybe jobs scooping shit at the humane society would better suite them till they can grow up past 19.
2.) Their prices are ridiculous. I am not paying 19.99 for a used pair of «nike air force 1» nor 14.99 for used pumas. Or 12.99 or a used torn back pack. Or 4.99 for a fake fashion necklace that I ll get in a yard sale for 50 cent. The list goes on.
3.) They allow unattended children to do whatever they want. They need a start kicking parents out if u can’t control ur kids. C mon people. Respect. Give it n get it.

I love shopping here. The employees are nice and helpful, the store is well organized, and there are lots of bargains!

I returned once again and while the prices of women’s clothing is on the high side, I love to peruse the knick knacks, books, and miscellaneous items.
They changed the layout of their store a little but it’s still easy to maneuver. The restrooms are still in the same location and so easy to use. I love the convenience.
I found a pair of pink John’s Bay women’s gloves for $ 2.99 this time plus a Scotch tape dispenser for the office for 99 cents and two non-​fiction books for $ 2.99 each which wasn’t that bad.
This time the cashier register line was unusually awkward Three people waiting in line while a customer was buying about 50 or so items until another cash register was opened. It wasn’t that long of a wait… about five minutes but who is counting? :)

I haven’t been to a V.V. For over a decade. I stopped going to them because the prices weren’t any better than Ross or Marshall’s but this location won me over. Everything was organized and was asked twice if I was finding everything ok. The pricing was spot on too. Great location filled with good clothing options.

Super friendly, helpful staff for a store of the second-​hand variety. I find the selection to be a bit better than the Redmond location.

I really hate these places but I supposed you have to keep your expectations in line. The store is decently organized but the smell of dust and old dirty things makes me never want to go here. Only on Halloween when I’m looking for those cheap items to rip apart and destroy for a homemade costume.

My boyfriend and I are regulars here. The staff is always really friendly and recognize me often lol. «Do I know you?» «Yes… I come in here ALL the time! «LOL.
The selection is huge and the prices are alright, would be happier if they were a bit cheaper, but they are always happy to work with you if you feel that the price isnt appropriate due to a defect.
Right now they have a huge costume collection, why pay full price when you can just go to value village?
The boyfriend is a huge fan of the shoe department, and because its Kirkland you always find name brands and good quality. Way to go Value Village!

I’m surprised that I’m not finding things as much of a bargain as this place seems to advertise I should. I went to buy a pair of shorts and they were $ 6.99. What? They’re just cheapo, unbranded shorts I need to wear once or twice, but I literally searched the entire rack and there was nothing.
Some of the stuff in the shoe/​bag/​hat section looked really used and manky, and not of a quality you should be reselling.
Customer service was initially nonexistent, and then it was mediocre. Sure, I understand that you’re setting up for Halloween but given the number of staff members that were around, I’m surprised that nobody asked if I (or any other customer) needed help, or took care of the fitting room area, or anything. In fact, most of the staff just seemed like they were standing around talking, with random clothes in their hands.
While this was happening, there was only one register open and a line with over six people waiting for it.
I bought some books where the deal was books that were listed as $ 7.99 and up were $ 1.99. I thought this was a pretty good deal and selected five that fit that description (I even checked all of them to make sure). The woman at the cashier arbitrarily decided that two of my books were $ 1.99, and three were $ 2.99 and scanned those barcodes in her folder of random barcodes. When I pointed out that the prices were wrong, she interrupted me and said «the machine automatically calculates it» which would be true if she had scanned the books, but she hadn’t. I’m sure I could have spent time arguing with her to save $ 3 but by that time I was done with the store, and the line behind me had grown, so whatever.
I still managed to spend $ 50 here, but my money really didn’t go as far as I thought it would. And I’m kind of annoyed at myself that I wasted that much time and money when I could have gotten stuff of the same quality, but unused, at Ross or something. Gah.

This is a pretty good thrift store. I’ll admit, I’ve had a lot of great luck here. I don’t always walk out with a treasure but sometimes I’ll chance upon a really great item — some things I’ve found here, I’ve kept around for 5 years or more.
It’s clean and decently well organized. There’s a lot to choose from, although I’ll admit that the selection gets picked over rather quickly. But that’s how a thrift store works! You browse around once every couple of weeks and occasionally you come upon the most perfect thing you have to have. Of my last few trips, I’ve purchased: a small, wooden box to store my tea in, a pleated violet midi skirt, and a pair of grey, business-​casual shorts in perfect condition. I’ve had luck in the past with t-​shirts and slightly worn workout gear (they’ve got brands like adidas, nike, and more) — not so much with shoes, purses/​bags, or pants/​jeans.
The employees seem a little dead inside — barely cracking a smile as they walk by you. They let you do your own thing though instead of pestering you, which is great. The changing rooms (when you can get in!) are filthy and have probably never been cleaned, with dust+dirt balls gathering in the corners. The prices are okay… a little too high for some of things they’re asking for, given the quality. At the same time, it keeps me from purchasing things I don’t absolutely love, so I guess that’s really a win?
Either way, grab some friends and come here to just browse through. You might have some awesome luck, and if you don’t, drive over to Ross literally a block away and you definitely will find something you like.

Hate that regardless of being told time after time after TIME they still put out donated Microsoft employee bought software and do not take the time to black out the employee number on the package. Now I know if you are donating something you should do it yourself but we all forget when tossing a ton of things into a box to donate.
I really wanted to give them 5 stars but the laziness of not taking two seconds to black something out –really– bothers me.

I thought that this Value Village would be absolutely amazing since it is in the nice area of Kirkland but the selection here seemed very mediocre. Perhaps it was simply picked over but nevertheless I was a bit disappointed.
I went to the books section and a lot of the books had higher price tags on them — $ 5 and above. Most books are supposed to be $ 3 or less but I definitely see some price hiking going on here.
I took a look at the bags and most of them were rather junky.
I took a look at the women’s tops and I was once again disappointed. A lot of shirts were going for $ 8-​$ 10 but they looked ratty. I was wondering why everything wasn’t like $ 5 or less.
Also, their Halloween section did not seem as extensive as the other Value Villages I have seen.

I may like this VV a lot because it is right down the street from my house. Hah. They always have things that I want/don’t really need, but buy/​etc. etc. My fiancé also seems to find all kinds of things he needs there. Like tools and electronic stuff. I don’t find much in the clothes department cause i’m really tiny and have an odd sense of style. so I mostly go here for household items or crafty things. :)
nice staff. color tag discounts (on most days. i think tues/​wed they don’t have tag discounts, but i may be wrong). lots of parking.
