Played here several times over the past 7 years or so. Always enjoy my trips to Reunion and we get a round or two in each day over 4 days mixing it up between the courses. The Watson course sets up nicely to my game with a solid challenge. To me this course probably fits all playing levels better than the Nicklaus or Palmer courses. You can bring all experience levels here and your group will have a good time. I have enjoyed playing this one more over the past couple years mainly because it has been closed several times during our annual trip so it has provided good variety. Staff is typically friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We’ve seen very little turnover with the crew here over the years from the clubhouse to the attendants, the beverage cart servers to the starters. It’s always good to see a few familiar faces encouraging you to have a good time and play well. There is a nice practice facility which will help set you up before your round. On cart GPS is helpful and pretty accurate from what I’ve experienced. Great replay rate if you’re looking to get a second round in. Definitely worth it. Rain does not impact your ability to get around the course too much. It dries out quickly and we’ve never experienced a cart path only situation — even during a tropical storm a couple years back. As a note — check before you head out to see if the beverage cart will be making it’s rounds if you are going off in the afternoon in the summer. Many times they will stop service if there aren’t many groups out. No worries — you can pick up a six pack from the bar/grill in the clubhouse. Six pack special is essentially 6 for the price of 5. We drank Miller, Coors, or Ultra for $ 25 a six pack which wasn’t too bad for a golf resort. They have decent liquor selection and some light snacks on the beverage carts too. Cards, cash, or room charge accepted.

We had a 4 day, 3 night package at the Reunion Resort that included 3 rounds of golf. The Watson course was the first course we played during our trip. Out of the 3 courses at the resort, this one was the easiest. There are no water hazards on the course and it’s not too long. There are a few bunkers, but nothing too challenging. The course winds through the residential area around the resort and was well kept. The greens weren’t fast… I’d say medium speed but had a nice, true roll. The views of the resort and residences were relaxing. Overall, it was a fun time in the sun. Return Factor — 75%
