Location is nice, size is small. Not much furniture to choose from. The clothing is pretty good. It’s not easy finding decent men’s clothes but I tend to do okay at KTS places, the stuff is clean and easy to shop through. My wife has better luck finding stuff in the women’s clothes, no surprise there. There are never shoes I even feel great about handling at any thrift stores, so while I can’t say anything nice about KTS in this regard, they’re no different from any of the others, either. Some really cool weird stuff comes out, sometimes. Old bakelite radios that still work, once in a while. The wife won’t let me clutter up the house with any more, or anything else weird, but I keep hoping.

KARM(Knox Area Rescue Ministries) is a ministry first, and thrift store second. The stores help fund the ministry. About all the locations(and I’ve hit every one) are nicely laid out and clean. Far cleaner then say most older Goodwills or Salvation Armys. They are also fairly expensive. As far as the merchandise goes, like all simular stores it entirely depends on who donates and what store it winds up at if it wasn’t a local drop off. Remember though, this is run by a(large) local ministry that feeds and houses a fair amount of people right here in town. You have to be Christian to work there, period, and one who attends church on a regular basis. That I like. I’ve bought and donated over the years from them, but like anywhere else I also priceshop and get on my android if I’m interested in an item and don’t know what it is. If you think you’re going to buy for resale though, good luck.

Immaculate but pricey«thrift» clothing. Excellent displays, organized, quality inventory.

As an avid«thriftier» I was excited to see this place when in the Knoxville area… however when I actually visited the excitement wore off quickly! The first time I stopped in they had just closed, so I drove back the next day, thinking they surely had great deals and steals…5 minutes later I was in my car with absolutely nothing in search of the next closest thrift store.

I enjoy thrift store shopping and after seeing a couple bulletin signs around town as well as a commerical, Karm looked like I’d find some great things. Wrong! This particular store has nothing but junk, junk, and more junk. The selection is lacking and the quality is even worse. I walked around a couple times just in case I missed anything and once I was done I couldn’t believe how fast it took me. Or that I wasted my time.
