As far as cheap Chinese food goes around here, this is our go-to. The General tso tofu is always crispy and tasty and you get SO much food for like $ 6.75. The vegetable lo mein is pretty darn good too. I really wanted to love their hot & sour soup, but it is just too weirdly thick for me and isn’t the best I’ve tasted either. Bars on the windows/doors of every business in this strip mall EXCEPT wok n roll. Haha Sort of a sketchy spot, but it’s cheap and hits the spot when you just want to stuff your face with unhealthy food. The reason I’m rating 4 whole stars is because I would be lying to say we haven’t eaten here multiple times in the past few weeks and loved it every time.

Starved, broke, and don’t really care what sort of chinese food you’re shoving into your gullet? Wok it out. Now Wok it out. Wok, Wok, Wok, it out. Seriously. Full of large cut vegetables and some sort of questionable sauce. Hassled by some guy while paying for my food, to buy HIM a soda. WHaT!!! Get out. No. Noooo… If my review seems questionable, it’s because this place is. Just. It’s food. You can eat it. IT resembles Chinese American. The folks who run it are most definitely reminding me of every terrible little chinese food place in big cities. But it’s our ONLY questionable Chinese food place on this side. It elevates it. Can we have two so we can at least say who we like better on this side of town? Maybe?

This is the only downtown chinese restaurant that isn’t near the dreaded strip. It is cheap New York style chinese. There menu is huge and practically has everything you have ever seen in chinese restaurant. The food is average and at a good deal, its hard to pass up. This is usually a Sunday night craving bad food decision, and well worth it. Also as mentioned the TEA! I don’t know what is in it, but its comparable to Petro’s orange sweet tea, its amazing.

I love it. The atmosphere is cool and they have your order waiting or you can walk in and get fast service. I can eat here 3 times a week easy. Great deal for a low price.

Have been looking for good Chinese food since we moved here from NY a year ago. Even though we’ve found lots of options, none have been worth a second trip to date. Quantity of food is great! Steamed dumplings, chicken with garlic sauce and mixed vegetables, General Tso’s chicken, won ton soup, egg rolls, fried rice — all for under $ 23. I’m really picky about the chicken texture from Chinese restaurants — this was perfect! Vegetables were not overcooked and while the rice isn’t my absolute favorite, still pretty good and cooked right. We will definitely be coming back!

This is a carry out environment, not that great for dining in. The food is good, ask for prices. Yep, it’s in an urban environment so the local vagabonds may ask for money… keep it moving. The tea is DELICIOUS, so buy two for you and one for her. Make sure you call ahead because if you think the food will be done in 10 min, like you’re told, you’re crazy! Add an extra 10 – 15 on that call in and you should be ok… I digress. Have fun, eat food, repeat.

This is pretty great, honestly. It says New York Style on the window and I have no reason to doubt that. You get a lot of deliciousness for your money, although how much money that is seems to change day to day – I’ve eaten here several times in the same week and it’s varied by a buck or so depending on factors I’m not aware of. But they do randomly sometimes give you a free soda! So it balances out in the long run. You could do so much worse for Chinese food in Knoxville and pay way more.

Good traditional American Chinese food. Of course as most good unhealthy food it is in the ‘ghetto’ on Magnolia. This simply means you might want to lock your doors when you get your carryout or have a good denial rap ready for the homeless beggars that might solicit you when you stop by. Prices on the board have nothing to do with what they charnged me.
