Truly a budget motel. And should be rated accordingly. I was not expecting luxury. But there were places that were $ 50 a few miles down I-75 and this place was $ 75. So I expected a clean Motel 6 experience. This was not quite that. 1. We were on the second floor. The stairway toward our room was roped off as defective, so we had to use the stairway at the other end of the building. 2. The room smelled very musty when we first went in. 3. Blankets looked like the free stuff given out to homeless. Well, not that good. 4. Not the clean. Carpets felt sticky to the bare feet. 5. In need of a remodel. The bathrooms looked very old, stained. 6. Not the most comfortable pillows or mattress. I was hoping for something when I went to see the continental breakfast. What there was, was mainly waffles from one waffle maker. If you know waffle makers, you make one at a time. And there was a larger family there. And there is only one large family table. And not much else to eat but the waffles. I decided to pass on eating and got the coffee. Bleh… not good. So look… it works. You can sleep here. Free wifi. No meth dealers and hookers in the parking lot. The lady up front was helpful and friendly enough. It was not horrible… but the next day I went to the Hampton Inn and the difference was amazing.
