Here to celebrate our anniversary. Waitstaff handed us off; had to inquire about my appetizer when entrees arrived. Waiter stated slipped his mind. They did deliver it and took off of Bill. Rice pilaf was mushy and overly tasted of green peppers. Rosemary chicken forgot it’s Rosemary, though it was a moist grilled chicken breast. All in all disappointed for a special celebratory dinner.

Their lunch menu is awesome — $ 8, $ 9 and $ 10 specials. My parents always get the $ 9 Chop House Steakburger and today was no different. While every time after ordering something else I always think«I should’ve ordered the Steakburger», I still always try something different. Today was the pork chops. PETITEPORKCHOPS — $ 10 Two seasoned, 4 oz grilled, center-cut pork chops served with two side items — I got the parmesan creamed spinach and sweet potato fries, both very good. Pork chops were also very tasty(although a little salty). Getting baked apples too was a nice surprise. Their portions are always good. Since both parents let me try some of their burger, I got a to-go box for my 2nd pork chop. I’d definitely order this again … or the Chop House Steakburger. Afterwards check out the Beef Jerky Outlet next door for more meat eye candy.

Visit here from NY, my favorite place for seafood and steak! Our servers have always been fabulous, but this Christmas Eve our waiter Ricky was so attentive and welcoming! Highly recommend the scallops Rockefeller! Well worth the $. Make a reservation if you can, always draws a crowd!

I’ve eaten at this restaurant twice in 3 nights. First night I had a sirloin either a salad and baked sweet potato with a strawberry the sangria. The steak and sweet potato were awesome. The drink was ok. Second night I had chicken parm with broccoli and a salad with an LIT. Food was great and the marinara had a kick.

Wow if this is the«fine» dining that Kodiak offers please put me down like a 10 point buck in deer season. I start off with the simple request… dirty martini with grey goose and extra olives… what I got I don’t know… definitely something close to sewage. Figure oh well go we beer. Can you really screw that up? Well the little blonde bartender must of been pissed or busy because it too 15 mins to order a beer and request a menu. As soon as a «local» showed up to order take out she was Johnny on the spot. Beer was okay. Who can’t do beer right. Service was way below average. She didn’t he follow up to ask how my meal was going… which was bland and to be honest I had better at a greasy spoon. Very disappointed in what I was hoping was a nice night of a cocktail and a yummy steak.

This is one of the best steak and seafood resturaunt we have been to in awhile .The ambiance is beautiful mountain view from windows and nice fire place. The food is even better we first had some warm bread to go with our house salad with cherry tomatoes cheddar cheese bacon bits cucumber and rice noodles great then came the cook to perfection 6oz filet mignon with your choice of side we had bake potato and sweet potato with all the toppings the filet you could cut like butter. Then to finish it off we got a large serving of Carmel fudge cake with ice cream delicious .The waiters are great and keep your drinks filled. Its the kind of place you just keep wanting to go back.

Call ahead seating was a life saver. The customer ahead of us was told an hour but we got seated right away. I ordered the house chop and it was great! Creamed spinach was really great. Not spinach dip but truly spinach in cream sauce. Wonderful. And our server was so funny and attentive. Seriously in this area you have to call ahead. But it’s totally worth the wait if you don’t.

The food is what you normally expect from a steakhouse but the service is outstanding. My husband, daughter, and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food! My husband and I bought had sirloin, I had a baked potato and he had fries. We also enjoyed the salad! My daughter just had fries(she’s only 1). When we return to the area, we will be sure to stop in.

The service was prompt and consistent and the USDA Prime Cowboy was huge enough to share between the two of us. Cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.

This was our first time at a Chop House location. The food was excellent. We had steaks the were cooked perfectly. The lobster bisque was also very good. Our waitress was Hannah she gave us amazing service. The atmosphere was very relaxing and they had a nice patio that was available if you wanted a nice view.

I had heard so much about The Chop House that I couldn’t wait to eat there. Late night, by myself, had to grab a bite… I gave them 3 stars. 1 for ambiance, and then 1 for each of the two sisters, K1&K2, staff there that were very nice, and conversed with me after I finished my meal. Rated against just any other steakhouse, I might have rated it higher. However, against its reputation, 1 for the food vs. cost, is all I can muster. Steak was like any other $ 9.00 steak from any other every day steakhouse, problem was, was that it cost me $ 20.00. Taste was average, presentation was average, but again, against its own reputation, I’d have to say that $ 30 for meal and tip for myself was about 2x’s too much. I’ll give them another chance, but mainly because K1&K2 were so kind, and that reputation thing.

We traveled here and had tried steaks for three days, this one the worst comparing to others, the bread is good, but steak, pork rib and lamb chop are terrible. You can always find a better and cheaper steaks around here, why ppl go to this place?

Food was good but had better even at this site. Service was ok. Just really wasn’t impressed which was too bad since we were celebrating an important birthday. Hopefully they were just having a bad day.

Exactly what to expect at Chop House; nothing truly memorable, but nothing truly forgettable, either. Prime rib sandwich is okay. Chewy, but a good flavor. If I was given the opportunity to help them fix one item, it would be the bread. Always dry and flavorless. Thank goodness for butter!

We drove all day and I lost my hard copy driver license and printed out a temp one and came to try this place and they refuse my paper one because I don’t have my old one with me. Hello I lost it on the road somewhere. Just because they failed there beer sting doesn’t mean shit. My husband was with me with the same looking Id as me. Maybe you should train your server better. Would never go here again with or without my hard copy driver license. Very rude.

A bunch of these reviews point out that there’s nothing better in a 30 mile radius. So you deal with inaccurate wait times of over an hour and occasionally harried service to have a good steak by a nice fire with a craft beer. Yup.

My husband and I have our nice dinners out here with his family when we visit them in TN — and a nice dinner, it has has always been. We are usually in town around Christmas time, so the dining room generally sports a roaring, toasty fire, charming décor and a great ambiance. Their name is appropriate and well-earned — they know how to cook their meats. We order the filet generally, medium rare. Last time it came out closer to medium, but the texture was still altogether amazing we didn’t complain. They have a new take on appetizers with their Scallops Rockefeller — which are fantastic, creamy and salty and garlicky and just delicious. My latest entrée was the Seafood Alfredo, with shrimp and lobster, mushrooms and fetuccini which was fantastic. The wait can be really long, especially surrounding holidays as there isn’t a restaurant of this caliber very close by, it’s the go-to option for locals for big occasion dining, so call ahead and put your name on the list. And if you get there early, you can walk around back to the bar and bide your time watching the game. Enjoy!

Dinner May 1 This is probably the best restaurant in a 30 mile area. Seriously, I go to this area quite a lot and if there are better places to eat that’s not in the touristy Smokies, please let me know = send me an email! The service was incredible. Ricky«Bobby» was a great personality and really made the dining experience even more pleasurable. Homemade, hand battered onion rings were awesome, homemade salad dressings were a nice touch as well. Loved the fresh bread they brought out and the whipped butter. Baked potato was big & fluffy. Steak was better than any chain(Outback, etc.) I have had better steaks, but for the price/area it was delicious. I will definitely be back my next trip through! BTW… we got there at just before 5pm on a Thrs and by the time we left, there was a line out the door! So if you’re planning on going, maybe you should make a reservation!
