Stopped in for breakfast on our way to vacation. Food was excellent, service was so so. Pancakes are delicious. We waited over 20 minutes for a to-go box. That was very annoying. They weren’t even busy.

I was very disappointed in the service and food at Cracker Barrel yesterday. My kids and I were having a day out together. We were seated fairly quickly. The waitress took our orders in a timely manner. The main problem was the food. One of my kids and I ordered the bacon cheese burger with fries. The burgers were ordered as medium and medium well. Both burgers were WELLDONE with crispy edges. The cheese was processed cheese not colby(as per the menu). The fries were slightly above room temperature. The other two orders were chicken tenders which were ok. The side of mashed potatoes and gravy that one of the two had was reported to me as being terrible– it looked unappetizing to me. The waitress eventually came back to the table to ask if everything was ok. I told her no, and explained the aforementioned items to her. A manager(maybe?) came out and asked me if everything was ok, and I explained the problems with the food to her. She also told me that it was the waitress’ fault that the burgers did not have the advertised Colby cheese on the burgers. She asked if she could bring dessert, and I declined. She eventually took the price of my meal off, but the damage had been done. I was unnerved at having to explain what was wrong with the food, and advised the manager that it would be a long time before I returned to the Kokomo CB. My family was very disappointed in CB, and we have gone to this CB since the sneak peek day(before CB opened to the public) that my husband attended. I was not happy that I had to stand in line for five plus minutes to pay for food and and experience that I hope to never repeat. I will go to Culvers across from CB from now on as their food is consistently good and cheaper than CB.

Was told 15 minutes for a carry out order. It took almost an hour. The place was not crowded at all. Hugely disappointed with this customer service.

Thanksgiving morning breakfast traveling to see family. Our server was excellent. She was so pleasant and served us perfectly. I took off a star for waiting at the hostess stand for awhile before we were seated. Minus another star for incredibly weak coffee. It was quite watery. Minus another star for the fire in the fireplace or rather the smoke that was rolling out from it and filling the dining room. I don’t know if the damper wasn’t opened properly or what was going on, but we spent the day smelling like smoke. It was in our hair, clothes, and our pores. I like Cracker Barrel, but as the rating says, «Meh. I’ve experienced better» at other locations.

This is the most inefficiently operated Cracker Barrel we’ve ever frequented. We’ve eaten here 5 times in the last 4 weeks – always for lunch. They do not take names and give you an approximate wait time. I guess that is because they have tables available. There is a line that you stand in, and eventually the hostess seats you. They would sell more merchandise in their store” if patrons didn’t have to hold onto their places in the line! Once seated, a server appears fairly quickly to take drink orders. We are loyal Cracker Barrel customers and this is not(thankfully) our“home” location. Husband is in town for business, and we like the lunch specials; however, I will NOT visit this particular location again. In addition to the unusually long time it takes to be seated(again, there have always been available tables on our visits), it takes an inordinate amount of time to receive food and pay at the cashier station(s) at this location. I would NEVER suggest this location for a road trip meal stop. Frankly, we frequent Cracker Barrel quite often on road trips because it is normally a fairly quick stop. That is most certainly not the case here!

Very disappointing! Dry meat and cold food. Our waitress was a doll but not very fast. Overall experience… I would never go back! I could also tell that my food was stuck underneath a warmer. My mashed potatoes were very dry and cold as well as the gravy. U got the pork tenderloin and it was so dry I couldn’t even eat the rest. A waste of 10 dollars!

If you need a filling, home style meal this is your place. The food is consistent, and plentiful. The staff at this Cracker Barrel are attentive. I had a plate of sides for my lunch and it was very good. Also it’s amusing to shop in the little store. Where else can you find everything you ever needed that has an IU or Purdue logo!

Come sit on the rocking chairs and play oversized checkers with the families and the buses arriving from the nursing homes. This is old people heaven but let’s be real– it’s pretty tasty too to most anyone. I tend to manage to burn my palette every single time I come here so I’m almost afraid to come anymore but I couldn’t peel my parents or grandparents away from here if I tried. I love their gift shop with all of the vintage games and candies. Fish fry’s on Fridays are a great deal.

The mash potatoes were not«real» potatoes — the meat loaf was bland and looked more like it was pieced together rather than a slice — the corn muffins were bitter. I can’t believe the«chef»(person who reheats the frozen meal) would allow a plate that bad come out of the kitchen but when the waitress puts it down and looks for an appreciative smile. But it wasn’t MY choice to eat here, and I do respect elderly relatives without taste buds who can gum their food.

My dear aunt and uncle live in Canada, but whenever they come to the States they always rave about this place. So when we met up for a wedding they took us here. WOW!!! Awesome menu and great prices. Very filling meal and plenty of leftovers. I had the Coca-Cola cake, which doesnt taste like you think it would, and it was great. On other trips east we have made it a point to stop at any Cracker Barrel close.
