Fairfield Inn Kokomo

This hotel is a hot mess! When we checked in they did not have our reservation, computer crashed! So the solution given to us. .. Use a suite and we will move you the next day! The next day we waited until a new room was available. We lost a whole day during our stay, wanted to go to Indianapolis to sight see. Now on day three, NO WATER! Which means no shower or toilets before checking out! Nothing says fun like a truck stop sponge bath!!!

Pretty a-​ok, Comfy linens, easy check-​in, secure. Decent coffee in the lobby. Not until the beach boys stay here when I’m here does this place gets 5 stars. Till then, just 3, which doesn’t rhyme with kokomo.
Ok, I can see why the beach boys never stayed here.

Clean and comfortable.
Great indoor pool, although the jacuzzi was not working during our stay. (not a deal breaker by any means).
Breakfast was decent.
Only issue was an odor of must/​mold as we’d entered our room (there was visible mold growing on the caulk around the tub). Told the desk, who assured me that she would let the manager know so it could be taken care of.
If we return to the area, we’d most likely look to stay here again.

We stayed here since I was attending a funeral service in Windfall the following day. There didn’t seem to be as much of an option there, so we stayed in Kokomo (about 18 miles away).
The place was clean & nothing out of the ordinary. It had the typical breakfast spread for a hot-​breakfast at a hotel. Think yogurt, biscuits-​n-​gravy, waffles, cereal, some fruit, etc. It was crowded due to a large group of hot rod owners staying there since there was a show somewhere close by.
There’s lots of places to eat nearby. Many of which I researched right here on Unilocal.I was happy with our selection (see my review for Half Moon Restaurant & Brewery).
There is a pool, tiny elevator, clean rooms… what more do you want? I was able to score a descent rate on the Fairfield website for $ 77. Worked out great. I’d stay here again.
