Had an Easter dinner with an awesome experience. Called in advance, no wait time to be seated. Will return soon.

We came here for a nice dinner after a long week. We used call ahead seating and we were seated right away even though it was very busy. It started with our appetizer. Cheese fries with bacon. Except there was no bacon. Next was the Caesar salad with croutons. Except there was only a single, lone croûton. Then there was the Sirloin cooked medium. Except it was a very dry medium well. Yes, they were busy, however, it was a Friday night and probably not their first busy Friday night. Victoria, our server, was excellent up to the point where she choose not to acknowledge all of our grievances, but would have no problem with her being our waitress again.

I don’t really eat at chain restaurants but I love this TRH! The servers are personable and the food is always delicious and correct. My favorite part is how much is made from scratch. I could drink their Italian dressing by the gallon. I also love their tender steaks and the smothered chicken. I’ve never had a negative visit here and I’ve been eating here regularly for 10 years.

Best Texas Roadhouse around! The negative reviews confuse me as I have never had an issue here. The food always comes out hot, fresh and delicious and the staff and management are always on par. They redid the bar and it really opened up the entire restaurant and it’s really appealing. I love how you can watch them make your steak and if you want you can choose your own steak from the display. The rolls… yup those little suckers are addicting! If you are traveling through Kokomo, hit up the Roadhouse for some killer steaks, ribs and ice cold beer.

Not a good dining experience! Think some staff training is badly needed. Salads were served before our appetizer which soon followed. After taking a few bites of the appetizer our food was delivered. We mentioned to our waitress that more time should be spaced between courses and her reply was«ya sometimes the ribs come out quicker than the steaks». I ended up bringing my dinner home so I could warm it as I really prefer eating while hot and we couldn’t shovel it in fast enough to be able to do that. I know the goal is to get you in and out to make room for the next people but this was ridiculous. Will think twice about our choice the next time we want ribs. Very disappointed!

The food was average to good, however the steak(8oz Sirloin) was extraordinary good, quite possibly the best in Kokomo! If you go for the steak you won’t be disappointed but everything else is average. So 2 stars for the food and 3.5 stars for the steak.

We visited Tuesday August 18th at around 9pm. Everything was okay, until our food came… my husband ordered the grilled BBQ chicken & sirloin steak combo. It came out & there was a live bug on his plate underneath the fries on his plate. The manager came over & took care of the situation. He blamed the bugs on the wood & said they were aware of the issue. He also commented that olive garden had the same issue but seems like that was an excuse. I asked him what type of bugs these are and he said he wasn’t sure, but reading the other review the review said cockroaches which makes it worse. My husband got new food & not 5 minutes later bug crawling on the table. We alerted the waitress then one fell in his hair & we were gone. There was another patron that complained of a bug on the table. The manager did comp our whole dinner but we will not go back. I sent a complaint to their corporate but someone from the actual location called me. At that point there was nothing they could do besides resolve the issue… which seems like they would need to close down & get an exterminator in there until all bugs are gone. I put a report to the board of health but maybe local news needs to be alerted until this stops. We have been in many other Texas Roadhouse locations & never had such an issue before.

Warning! Stay clear of this restaurant!!! it is filthy! the blooming onion came in a pool of grease… dirty grease. it is obvious the fryer is in desperate need of cleaning and the oil being changed. while we did not eat the onion crap… we proceeded with our meal… which during our meal a cockroach scurried across the table!!! after a few yells… like WTF! after jumping out of the booth to not have it land on me… i contacted the manager who told me…“We are a aware of the problem… they are living in the crevices of the booths!” No lie… exact words!!! The health department needs to be call… in fact… i will be doing that. and someone needs to train that manager… those words should have never been spoken to me! Never again… i never do chain restaurants… I was talked into this visit… never again!

Worst run restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. They are rude and could care less about experience of the customer. There are always more people standing around looking spaced out than helping people. Overall if it wasn’t for the birthday person requesting this place it is not worth coming to.

We rarely eat at chain restaurants but we were so tired from driving all day we just wanted to walk across the parking lot for dinner. We had been to a Texas Roadhouse years ago in Fargo, ND so we kinda knew what the experience might be like. Brandi the waitress took great care of us and was fun to visit with! She made sure we had everything we needed for a great Texas Roadhouse experience! We started with the signature peanuts and beverages… A great touch! I had the kabob with mashed potatoes and a cup of chili. Excellent! The steak was a perfect medium rare and the veggies tender crisp; the potatoes were real and peeled in the kitchen; the chili well-spiced topped with cheese at no extra charge! My wife’s ribeye was cooked to her liking and she enjoyed the loaded giant-sized sweet potato. My only beef is that they had no tables and the booth was a bit uncomfortable. C’mon guys, make those Texas-sized too! After this experience, we kinda wish we had a Texas Roadhouse closer to our home!

This is the second Texas Roadhouse I’ve been to and it left me a little underwhelmed compared to the other one I’ve been to. I can’t quite place it. Maybe it was the service or the rolls not quite tasting as I remembered, but either way the visit left me wanting.

Paul K has hit this on the head. Texas Roadhouse is the only chain restaurant I will go to… the one near me is great. This one is shit. The service is fine, the cooks are inept. I ordered a 22oz cowboy bone in rib eye medium rare. It was raw. Might as well have been mooing. The loaded sweet potato was hard. Seriously. WTF. Others in our party were similar. They removed my meal from the bill. I did not want anything else from there. Severely disappointed.

I have been to many Texas Roadhouses before, notably the ones in Richmond, IN and Champaign, IL. Unfortunately, this particular Texas Roadhouse has always left me disappointed, and I feel that this Texas Roadhouse is inferior to other restaurants of this chain. The service and atmosphere are pretty typical for a Texas Roadhouse. The servers are friendly, and although the restaurant is noisy, it is not so noisy that you cannot hear yourself think. The menu is typical for others in this chain, with the standard fare of steaks, burgers, pork chops, etc., for reasonable prices. My biggest issue with this particular Texas Roadhouse is their seeming inability to cook a steak to the proper temperature. Many times I have gone in and asked for a NY Strip cooked Medium Rare. However, the steak comes to the table Rare almost without fail. This relationship is true with other temperatures as well; if I want a Medium Rare steak, I have to order it Medium. I shudder to think about what would happen if I were to order a steak Well Done. In summation, although you will get a good meal here, the execution of that meal is somewhat lacking. For a place that prides itself on its steaks, I would expect that their steaks would be cooked properly.

One of the only chain restaurants that we will go to — steaks are excellent and service is always good — Alex(girl) is a superior waitress and I highly recommend asking for her! Busy but the sweet rolls and cinnamon butter keep coming to keep you from starving or being bored — and you have to love the peanuts! Had Mom’s 83rd birthday there this week — filet was melt in your mouth soft, ribs were huge and very meaty, salmon was cooked perfectly and had a nice flavor — have never had anything less than an excellent meal there but my favorite is the prime rib with fresh horseradish — YUM!

Another great experience here. I am always wary when ordering my steak medium rare, because many cannot hit that perfect balance, but I am never disappointed at Texas Roadhouse.
