After three 10 lap races, right in the end, I realized the cars can handle going flat out all the way through(but not without freaking you out a bit at first) Wish I had known that in the beginning. 65mph feels good but 75 would be nice because then you might need to slow a bit before the turns. Fun place. I recommend it.

The staff is really friendly and helpful. I didn’t do the races but my friends all seemed to enjoy it. We will definitely be going back — I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes a good race!

I booked a 5pm Friday session for my boyfriend and I because I had a half off coupon voucher through 365thingsaustin. I was originally excited to go(especially a the discounted rate) but when we got there at exactly 5:00 they immediately pushed us into the 6pm group. I had called 30 mins in advance because I was worried that we would be late and I asked the lady working there what their late policy was. She said we would reserve our right to be in the 5pm group unless we were more than 15 mins late, which we weren’t. I was very upset that we were forced to wait an entire hour and that they didn’t follow their own policies. However, it was a fun experience. They really need to improve front desk-customer relations and stick to their policies though.

A lot of fun! Wait till track is hot makes it better! We raced with 15 people and had a blast! 65mph+ is right! We will be back! For go carts you can’t go wrong. A lot faster than any I’ve driven. The best!

Had a group of 8 for a bachelor party, we did the 3-race package. The staff was really friendly, we used a Unilocal deal so the price was really good($ 27/person for 3 races). A short 10 minute safety briefing, a 10 lap warm up, then another two 10 lap races. A short debriefing after with some race strategy explained. Overall a good experience, fun way to kill an hour, but nothing that blew my socks off.

Track and go karts are in rough shape, that being said I still had a lot of fun. Wish I had more time to hang around and work on the corners.

Great short track asphalt racing! Great racing and music at bargain prices. Note: Several of the racers are contenders in the infamous Snowball Derby in Pensacola, FL every year.

Family friendly environment as well as fast karts in an oval track! Matt Donovan has been so kind to show us around and we were even able to host an event there. They were very accommodating and helpful! If you’re looking for a family outing, this is where you should go! Everyone loved using the karts and they felt so fast as you felt you were flying! Before you can even get in a kart, they go over everything you know in an informative safety course to make sure you understand a safe way to pass others as well as have fun cutting the corners of the track to have the advantage. Highly recommended!

Matthew Donovan and his staff do an amazing job and increase the fan experience — After 20 plus years in sports marketing he knows his racing.

This place is anything but spectacular. I have been going out here on and off for a few years(old management and new). Nothing has change except the prices, now they are even more expensive than before. It’s kind of a joke, not much going on for the hype they put out. Bar is a joke, service is anything but accommodating. One plus is the races, but they get old after a bit.

went there a few weeks ago with my wife to attend a post election party. unfortunatly the organizer of the event had a family emergency and could not attend. .he didnt miss much cus it looked like there were very few people that turned out for the occasion . we parked and entered by the VIP entrance as was arranged and made our way to the bar which was were the event was intended to happen . the free parking and complimentary entrance was the only good thing about this evening . finding seats at the almost empty bar finally a staff member approached and took our orders two beers which cost a arm and a leg . just a beer each no bar mats, and no offer of(would you like a glass for that) the service was non existant like the Beer was placed* well kinda plonked down * somewhere near our faces and then the *bar staff * just walked away to carry on talking with other staff at the other side of the bar, which was interrupted when we ordered a drink . no atmosphere, expense drinks ‚& abysmal service .not the sort of place either of us would venture into again. one star for the free admission

NOTGROUPFUN If you are having a large group event here, then don’t do it! The racing is fun for the 10 practice laps but the Endurance Race is not much fun. It took over two hours to get all of our group to take practice laps. Then came the big race! The track did not have enough people employed to properly run the race. There was much confusion which lead to the race not being fun. And if you asked an employee a question they were very confused as to what was going on. I would suspect they never had such a large group before because they couldn’t handle it. My one star comes from the fact that I was involved in an incident with my race car. There was no negligence on my part but there was an accident that occurred. The car was fine but that did not stop a staff member from making a verbal threat to me with a warning to not leave the track area. Talk about being a jerk. It ruined my night because I felt bad. They took away our race car from our team and gave us another car which was really slow. Our team went from being in second place to falling out of contention. The cars had GPS in them but they never counted our last 20 laps because we had a new car. So much for having technology and being fair. What made me really mad was when our group was back at the hotel bar later in the evening and someone not knowing I was involved in that incident overheard two of the employees talking. They heard the employees say that they punished our team for the incident and thought it was funny. I was a little upset at the unprofessionalism of this location. Honestly employees need to keep there mouth shut when guests are within air shot. And if you are having a corporate event here. Food and drink are important for an event. You can eat but you can not drink until you are done racing. The bartender had an easy night. I was there over 4 hours until I had my first drink. After my incident I was done for the night because I had no plans of going back out to race. I understand safety first and I would never encourage drinking and driving. My fun started here once I got my first drink. It would probably be fun to come here with a couple of buddies but with a large corporate group then forget about it. My one star is for the idle threats of an employee that ruined my evening and there actions to make sure that our team did not place in the top three. Just completely rude and unprofessional.

«Home of Fast Cars and Hot Guitars» Over the Fall and Winter, the new management has put a lot of time, sweat and money into this facility to raise the stakes. All of the VIP suite boxes have been refurbished over the winter. We actually watched this process happen last fall, and were worried they were tearing the place down at one point. Improvements are happening everywhere you look. I guess that”s necessary with an F-1 track in your backyard, but it certainly has redeemed what had heretofore been a slowly decaying facility. I was able to get sneak preview of the completed grounds today while dining on premises at Bailey’s Burgers with a friend from work. Event staff were busy as bees trying to get ready for the first race night tonight. The racing schedule will be a bit different than in the past, with essentially monthly events rather than biweekly, but hopefully they will bring a better class of competition as well. New to the facility is a 20,000 seat concert facility. It’s my understanding that KOKE-FM will hold it’s weekly TeXas Concert Series now through July 31st here every Wednesday night, and concert admission is free, with gates opening at 6PM. It seems impressive from the parking lot, but that’s as close as we got. Also new is the Car Bar in the Events Garage. It’s described as an alternative to tailgating. I didn’t get to see it this visit, although we probably could have if we’d only asked. We were in a hurry, since lunch hour had to also cover the drive between work in San Marcos and Kyle. Their claim is «Customer service and hospitality is our mission; your unforgettable event is the result.» We’ll have to see how that winds up in reality, but so far, the visible changes are definitely a step in the right direction.

Great time this past weekend at the track. Outdoor oval racing at 60 – 70 mph. Staff is great and very knowledgeable — even the league guys will teach you some tips and pointers. I showed up by myself and easily got filtered in with other groups. Definitely going back with a group soon! Place is very easy to get to — right off I35. PS — I suggest wearing jeans or some kind of long pants. I showed up in shorts and they made put on a full race suit. It was pretty warm in the suit — not doing that again!

I felt like I was straight out of a game of Mario Kart! Total adrenaline rush and when I did a 1080 after hitting a puddle of water it was awesome!!! Just like when you hit an oil slick in the game. I got lapped by everyone the first race and almost won the second one. Once you get over the initial fear of spinning out you find yourself flying around corners like a pro. I will definitely be going back ASAP!
