Garcia’s in Kyle is always Great The service is quick, the staff is very nice & attentive, and the food is awesome! Me and my wife and friends eat here 3 – 4 times a month and never have any complaints. Great job Garcia’s

Every Restauranteur in central Texas must have an Uncle Garcia. I think that there are several within miles of San Marcos. The chips were very good as was the salsa. They kept it filled up. The margarita’s were so salty as to be hard to eat. Most of the food was very middle of the road. Fast in, fast out. I’d go here again, but this is more the kind of place I would go to lunch at rather than to take my wife out to dinner.

Horrible service from the gecko. They sat us near the bar where they kept all the extra tables and chairs so it was impossible to move around. Not only did we had to wait 35 minutes for supreme nacho plate. Their waitress couldn’t even inform us that they were going to take long. I had enough when I see other customers receive their food before we got ours(so much for going to by ticket count. WHICHIS A DAMNLIE). When I asked the cashier if they can just ring us out for the drinks she ignore us and said«let me my boss first». Very disappointed with this place specialty being my first time there. Never plan on coming back.

I placed a Togo order for a chicken quesadilla, I checked when I got home to see a beef quesadilla. I called to complain and the lady over the phone said I get a free one. I call a week later to find out I won’t be getting a free chicken quesadilla and I wasted 10 $. Horrible service.

BEWARE! We will never go back. We’ve tried this three times now knowing that every restaurant can have an off night. First time we went, it was ok. Food very mediocre for the price. Service wasn’t too bad though. Second time it was awful. Food cold. Tiny portions for the money and staff clearly hates their job. We just ordered take out. My daughter requested one change to the sauce on one of her three enchiladas. They said sure. However, when she got there she was told if she didn’t get the right sauce it is because the kitchen is busy. Really? I ordered two tacos. Opened the bag and absolutely no sauce. Also spent 6.50 for their nachos Grande. It was so odd. They piled up chips and literally spread about 2 tbsp of beans on the top only and gave us ½ cup(small) of cheese and about 2 tbsp each of guac and sour cream. And they charge extra for takeout! They are cheap and the food is really sub-par. Too many Mexican restaurants around to ever deal with that again. Think twice before you visit here.

My Mexican coworker swears by this place. So I went! Friendly staff & quick service. Chicken Tortilla Soup, large portion, shredded chicken, delicious avocado. Breakfast Tacos $ 1.50(?) I get bacon, egg & potato. Bomb :] *see pictures*

There is no question the food is delicious but what really sets this restaurant apart from all the others is the staff. Everyone goes over and beyond to make sure you, the customer, feels welcomed and valued. And of course, you can not forget to try their Chip and Salas… simply amazing!

My family absolutely adores this place, but today was probably an off day for the restaurant. We each ordered a different plate and only one of us had warm food. I’m not sure if that was the last plate to come out of the oven/stove. Our food was cold and not very enjoyable. We sent back one plate several times and as for my plate, I just ate it cold because I was too hungry to wait. I’ll come back to give this place another shot because I’d rather keep my money in Kyle. I will update after 2nd try.

My husband and I enjoy the migas for breakfast, lunch or dinner! We are big tea drinkers and enjoy the convenience at this location that provides sweetner at your table. Other locations, you have to request sweetner from the waitress each time you need sweetner for your tea.

I’m a lover for Mexican food, it being my culture. We decided to visit this place once again after 3 years and worst experience ever. Starting from the beginning… The Tea was watered down, Carne guisada tasted old, barbacoa was super salty, service was a disaster.

Service there can ruin it sometimes. It’s a hit or miss. Food is always excellent though. Garcia’s is a great local chain. I just wish they were better with their selection of host’s/server’s. Like I said, some are AWESOME! Others ruin your whole experience.

I love this place. It’s a family owned area chain which has excellent service and food. Today I had the beef Fajitas Norentas which are fajitas with jalapeños. Talk about some spicy goodness! Yum yum. Add some good caramelized onions and homemade tortillas and you have a heck of a meal!

Loved it! First time visit. Walked in, noticed a huge line waiting to be seated… however it turned out to be one large group. We were greeted and shown a table right away. After ordering, the manager(Oscar) came by and welcomed us, offered us a sample taste of their Menudo. really good! Breakfast was wonderful… pork chops and eggs for me and Huevos Rancheros for my wife. Our waitress was very attentive and took care of our half empty coffee cups, and water. We will come back for the Menudo — served on weekends only. It is a must visit on the East side of Kyle.

Came here to get take out yesterday. The food was good, but they skimped on the carne guisada. We’re eating in today, and the taco dinner had hard tortillas. We thought they’d be soft tortillas. Guess we should’ve asked. Also it took long for being Mexican food. Yesterday’s order to go took way longer, but they were super busy. It was a Sunday afternoon. All in all, food is good and cheap. I didn’t like that they played all salsa. Salsa isn’t Mexican, how about some rancheras or cumbias? I’m sure it’s no big deal. I’m just picky about music. I had no reception yesterday either. So while I was waiting, I couldn’t do anything on my phone(including this review). Today it worked. Weird. They have outside seating which is nice.

My husband and I tried this place out for dinner. The restaurant was clean and festive. We got complimentary salsa and chips which was good. The chips were warm and the salsa was mild which is more appealing to the masses. My husband ate Garcia’s deluxe dinner with the beef option. I ate the combo beef/chicken Fajitas Nortenas. For $ 10.95 it was good. The beef could’ve been more flavorly seasoned but was VERY lean. The protein was cooked in too much oil which made it greasy. The tortillas were not homemade or at least frozen than cooked. Overall 3 stars for poorly seasoned meat but still a great place to eat and enjoy a filling meal.

I know I’ve mentioned the great rice & beans before but now I can tell you about there best entrée. Spinach Enchiladas. They were to die for! And I realize I’ve failed to mention the wait staff. Today we had Maureen who is awesome, but Ana is great also. My friend Ray says all the staff is great, but these two stand out!
