Food is great. Staff is very kind and professional. A great place to eat and don’t forget pie for dessert.

Wow. Great pies. No creamy meringue pies, though. Just pecan, chess, fruit, and pumpkin pies. Also chicken pot pies and casseroles.

Salads nice with large portion served(save half for dinner), rest of food ok. But yes, yummy desserts! On the small size but that just means you can try more than one kind… hehehe. Employees –hit or miss with them): Wall art guitars are unique and entertainment for your eyes. Take a few minutes to really look at them. We will be back for dessert and coffee

Not impressed. My co-workers and I were were super excited to buy some treats and looked this place up online. When we went in, the prices were different than online and the items we purchased were just alright. We ordered the fudge pie, which was hard and almost tasted burnt… plus it looks nothing like in the picture. No whipped cream… just a hard pie. The lemon bars were mediocre also. Disappointed… :(

It was pretty good but the people that worked there seemed like we were putting them out which took away from the experience. I guess I just had high hopes, but the pie is good and the other items are good too

Fantastic! My in-laws were in town, and I had just suffered the tragic demise of my carrot cake. I called Texas Pie Company to make sure they were going to be open– it’s a holiday weekend. And even though they weren’t going to be open for another hour, the kind man on the phone said to come on over. We got a pineapple peach pie which was positively phenomenal, and my daughter got a cookie which she claims was«The best cookie she ever had with a monkey on it!» I may never bake again.

Came here this past weekend for lunch and of course pie! The egg salad was really good! My husband ordered the chicken salad and the kids had turkey and cheese and they all ate their food. I had the almond joy pie to bring home and it was delicious! tasted exactly like an almond joy! I will return here for lunch and pie. It is a nice stop when you are down in Kyle!

My favorite pie place ever!!! Every time we’re in the area, we have to stop here. They have a wide variety of pies and even some quiches. Too bad they tend to run out of flavors. Unfortunately, their pasta dishes are actually frozen… so don’t expect to have the meal there. :(But I still give them 5 stars because the pies are amazing.

Where to begin? This place is great! From the lunch and food they have to the pies! You will not regret a single thing you order here every time I bring anyone a casserole or pie from here they go nuts and want to know where I got something so delicious. I share share share… this place is super friendly, super great food and the best little pie shop ever.

After reading other Unilocalers say that Texas Pie Company makes the best apple pie I knew I had to try it! After taking my first bite I totally agreed! The apples were tender but not smooshy. The crust was crispy and buttery… Ohhh and the sugary crumble on top was awesome! Then my experience went downhill when I found a long strand of hair weaving through the crust and into the apple pie center… ICK! Poor quality control.

Read this first: Not impressed at all. Tried 3 different items. This review is exclusively for the pies. I should also mention that for most of the selections they do not sell slices but instead they sell mini pies. This is not quite the same thing because it throws off the ratios of pie to crust and the induction of air with each of those bytes to open up flavors. The Pecan Pie is ok but unimpressive. The Lemon Chess pie was nice and bright but it was nothing you would go back for. And for the Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse, again it was unimpressive… and kept at room temp so I’m thinking maybe preservatives. or its not quite mousse… In fact they all seem like they might have been produced in the factory somewhere and brought in. The reason we say that is because they seem very professionally made yet mediocre in flavor and quality of product as is the case with much mass produced product. Based on the pies we might have given it 3 stars but service although not rude was a bit cool to cold feeling and we got service from both what appeared to be the owner and an employee, this led us to drop another star from the review. Also another bit of advice, never count money in front of your customers it’s just tacky.

There’s not a lot in the little downtown core of Kyle. We came here to see the town where my brother-in-law now calls home. We were expecting a bbq at the house a bit later but came across Texas Pie Company, glanced in the window, … why not dessert before the meal. We popped in for pie. The lady will have a slice of the Chocolate Cream Pie and I will have a mini Almond Joy. Because I don’t fantasize about creamy pies, I passed on tasting hers. The Almond Joy was a solid little pie based on its candy bar namesake. Coconut, almonds, and chocolate chips. She ate her entire slice. My 5 – 6 inch diameter pie was only missing ¼ by the time we were done. Beside pie, they offer sandwiches, daily Mon-Fri casseroles, and quiche too(which I guess is really a pie). Fun find in this very small core.

Went to the Pie Co. on 3.14 — Pi Day. Their website said they close at 4pm on Saturdays. We showed up at 3pm and a sign on the door read«Sold Out» with the curtains pulled. My buddy and his daughter went in to ask and we told«we’re closed.» This was the 3rd time we have attempted to eat there and they were closed or closed early. When running a business, you should uphold your hours of operation and remain open until closing time. This place has had too many chances to win me over as a customer and failed!

We ordered 42 pies from Texas Pie Company for our wedding back in November, and we were SO happy with our decision. We ordered buttermilk, blackberry, peanut butter mousse, chocolate fudge, coconut cream and key lime. We got a ton of compliments on the pies from our guests, and it took the pressure off of us in choosing a cake flavor, since everyone could find a flavor they liked. Plus, it was much less expensive than wedding cake, and we can get a fresh pie made every year to celebrate our anniversary. No soggy, one year old, frozen cake topper! From a business perspective, the owner, Julie, took great care of us. She definitely made it her priority to make sure the pies were beautiful and that we were happy with her work. She delivered them herself to make sure they arrived in perfect condition. If I could do it again, I would choose Texas Pie Company a hundred times over!

I just love this place. I have eaten lunch here, ordered pies from here, and gotten the frozen casseroles to go from here. I have yet to be disappointed except when I see the bottom of my pie tin. My normal lunch is chicken salad sandwich, complete with jalepenos. I’ve also had their salads and other sandwiches, too. Awesome.

First time and definitely not the last! When I walked in the door the unbelievably great smell of fresh baked pies made my day. Then, greeted with a smile by the friendly staff that were eager to give me recommendations on their menu. I ended up with a BLT and it was great! I didn’t have time to try any of the pie but I’ll be back Monday for the Monday Special, King Ranch Chicken.

I stopped in here with a friend today and I’ll mention this up front — they have an impressive blackboard menu. Seriously, whomever put it together is a talented artist and should be recognized up front. Also… that sign,(a giant slice of pie) is pretty awesome. On with the review… I bought three mini pies. Blackberry, dutch apple, and almond joy. They’re so cute. I anticipated them all day. So after dinner, I cut up some mini slices of my mini pies for me and my husband… and that’s about where the enchantment ended. Blackberry: Fruit filling to crumble topping ratio is off. Not enough fruit, too much crumble topping. Crumble topping tastes freezer burnt, and not just faintly. Crust was decent. Apple: Same story as the blackberry, but the fruit was more evident. Still with the freezer burnt crumble, and the crust was decent. Almond Joy: It was ok… a little chessy, which isn’t my favorite but it was ok. No freezer burnt taste on this one so that was good. I paid about $ 12 for all three, which I wouldn’t consider bad for pies that were good. Because all of these were a bust, it was really more of a waste of money. Super disappointing, two stars… I won’t be back, and I’m not tempted to try any of their café fare either.

Is there a better place for pie in Central Texas? I don’t think so. The people are warm and friendly and the lunch menu is varied and good. But hey it’s worth the trip just for the pie!

One star for a dreamy pecan pie and the other star for their awesome pie fixture sign. We walked in and soon regretted the decision when the lady who was taking our order appeared less than thrilled to serve us. Not once did she smile. We explained that this was our first time and you expect someone to recommend something but she turned her back to us. We felt like we were such a burden to be served when all we wanted was to try some of their desserts. Shouldn’t it be a requirement for you be sweet/kind if you work in a pie shop? When we were waiting in line to pay she began asking my father very aggressively what he wished to order to which we told her that he was with us. We no longer wanted to support this place after that moment but why drive 30 minutes to leave with nothing. Their treats are nothing to brag about. Texas Pie Company needs a major face lift in their customer service department.
