Bucky’s Pizza

This place had great burgers and I liked eating there or picking them up to go but they have stopped serving the burgers and spaghetti. Now it’s pizza or nothing. Makes it hard for a family whose members want different things. Bucky’s has a nice physical plant but has become a carry out pizza place. I won’t be back.

This place has been up and down since they opened. but now and the last few dozen times I have came in have been on point. great staff.amazing
delivery to boot. any time there was even the slightest mistake they went above and beyond what I expected. .I see negative reviews on this place and could understand if it was a year ago but as of now 100% suggest one tryst or tryst again. well worth it
Side note this is a ma and pa local business not McDonald’s or pizza hut. local hired students .as local as it gets some people seem to forget what that’s worth these days

Used to eat there at least twice a week, but since they quit serving burgers, spaghetti, etc, I will no longer eat there. Bye bye!!!

I didn’t care for Bucky’s when they first opened, the food was good, but the service was slow and the place was freezing! But the last several times I’ve been in they’ve definitely upped their game and I heard they changed their management… so maybe that’s why!
I love their pizza still, got everything fast, and didn’t freeze my ass off! The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because they got rid of the grill… so no hamburgers, which was one of my kid’s favorite things, along with the fries!
GET YOUR GRILL BACK!!! You’re finally doing good, don’t get rid of your popular stuff, just because it doesn’t make you as much money as the pizza!!!

Second (and the last time) we will patronize this place. SLOW service (and with only a coupe of other customers at the time). Server not attentive at all. Employees were all young, hence the lack of good restaurant management. After waiting for at least 15 minutes, had to go to the counter to ask what happened to our salad. Interior is clean, but the décor definitely gives a ‘fast food’ look. A disappointment and waste of money.

Nice looking place. But man o man it is incredibly slooooooow. We waited 15 min for just an appetizer of tater tots, then an additional 10 min for our pizza. We got the chicken artichoke. I tool 1 bite and had to force my slice down my throat. It is so disgusting. I’ve never seen a pizza with sooo much garlic see the pic. My 1 slice had 6 cloves. The whole pizza had 43 cloves. The pizza is very bland no flavor at all. So i guess we will take it home and doctor it up ourselves. The kids had a cheeseburger they said it was really good. My suggestion is save your money and go somewhere else. Or if it’s your first time start with a small pizza to try before you waste the money

I have eaten Bucky’s pizza at least 10 times now. The first couple times I had it, it was probably almost a year ago and I would have to agree with the somewhat poor reviews from that time. It didn’t seem as good and wasn’t very consistent at the time. They must’ve made some big changes because they’re very good and have be en for quite some time now. We moved to LaCenter about 6 months ago and have pizza carried out probably twice a month from there. I have dined in once or twice now as well. Since the time we have moved here, they’ve been consistently delicious. The place is very clean and the staff was very nice. We especially love the garlic flavored crust. It really adds a unique and delicious touch. The garlic knots are ok but very oily and we couldn’t taste the garlic much. It could have been just that one batch but we’ve only tried them just the one time. I will say that all for toddlers from our group absolutely love them anyways.
The only pizza I think could use a change is the BBQ Chicken pizza. Although it’s good, there is NO BBQ flavor at all. Either add some barbecue sauce or change the name to something else. Overall though, the pizza is always delicious the staff friendly and the place very clean.
In reading the other reviews it appears we really need to go and try their ice cream. We never save room for that LOL

The pizza is decent but not awesome. It’s common fair but it has a lot of toppings and was done pretty fast. Nothing special or exceptional but it will work if you are wanting pizza.
The chicken ceasar salad is great and worth returning for.
The ice cream is awesome! We will be going back and back and back just for the ice cream. They have unique flavors like huckleberry and beachcomber which has pop rocks in it, generous scoops and every flavor we have had is great. Our friends have told us that their burgers are really good so we are going to try the burgers next time we go.

I’ve eaten here plenty of times now.
I have dined here, have had carry out, and delivery. The place is always clean and the workers friendly.
I have had the burgers and pizza, my family and I think it is all good! I have tried the bread sticks and garlic knots too. My very picky eater kids have really enjoyed the food as well.
The delivery was quicker than the quoted time on the phone, and the delivery driver was very friendly.
I am not sure why this place has some questionable reviews, I have had a positive experience every time we have eaten here.
The burgers are quite a bit better than the other burger place in town than I have tried.

I have to agree with the inconsistent comments. I want to have a great pizza restaurant in town, they had been better for a couple of weeks. But then something happened around the first of the year.
Fries were under done, pizza crust was soft, and the service so so. The ovens need to be turned up and so par boiling of the fries wouldn’t hurt. However they did improve their wings, but I think the got rid of the pasta which was their best item especially the Mac n cheese. Hope they work things out.

I’ve tried over and over. It’s a No!
First, the bad service, teenagers standing around gossiping instead of taking your order. Then you have to interrupt them to pay for undercooked hawaiian pizza (large with 6 pieces of ham)
Now… They have hanging lamps that not only block the TV but make you see spots from the bad placement and light bulb in your face.
With such limited restaurant choices this restaurant has the ability to be a cash cow, but not with this service and hit or miss of quality in food.

My family came in on September 12, The wife and I were excited to see hot wings on the menu, we do love our wings. We order 2 orders of wings, French fries and ice cream for the girls. The wings, fries and ice cream were great, but I wished they were hotter, allot hotter. When I mentioned that to the ladies at the counter, the chef Patrick came out and stated that he could that if I wanted to come in the following day. The following day we showed up and he specially made sauce and it was dead on best wings I’ve had.

Very disappointed. For a place that is supposed to specialize in making pizza, this eatery fails. Locals were initially happy that a new restaurant was opening in the small town of La Center. The building is brand new, clean, and attractive. However, don’t judge a book by its cover. The pizzas are worse than cheap frozen ones from WalMart. The dough is consistently soft and the taste is off. I don’t know who is making the pizzas in the kitchen but they need serious help. The service is good but cannot make up for the bad pizzas. I have tried the place twice and will not be back unless they overhaul the pizzas. They also serve ice cream and other items. Maybe school kids and senior citizens will keep this place place open, otherwise I expect it will shutter within the year.

We had pizza and salad and thought it was great. Pizza crust was unique and the toppings were fresh. Service was friendly and my 6 year old loved the ice cream counter. Fun spot for our little town.

Was very hopeful for La Center’s newest eatery. Sorely disappointed. The dining room had an odd smell when we arrived. Our waitress was pleasant and quick. We ordered garlic knots, a burger and a individual pizza.
The garlic knots arrived in a pool of oil, or possibly butter? Fried bread with Parmesan scattered about.
The bacon cheese burger was WELL done, the bacon was rubbery. Needed to request ketchup for the fries.
Pizza followed about five minutes later, so timing will need to be worked on. The pizza itself was watery and bland. Vigorous application of salt and Parmesan helped.
We won’t be returning.
