Kentucky makes a better fried chicken. Chicken Day’s is over cooked and dry. Thick, tasteless batter. No vegetables offered.

Where’s the rice?! I usually call in my orders for pick up. On three occasions now, I’ve been told I can’t order kimbap because they don’t have rice. This isn’t 10 minutes before closing, or right after opening. This is 6 or 7 pm. I understand demand can deplete the stock, but come on! Someone needs to be on top of this! The chicken isn’t bad at all. Sometimes the portions can come into question. I once found a drumstick with half the meat gone before they fried it! The spice levels in the various items can be inconsistent from one day to the next. I personally can only handle so much, so some days I can’t even touch some of the food or sides ordered. I have only dined in once and that’s why I always call in for pick up. When I dined in, there was only one server attending to the floor, the phone orders, the pick-ups and delivery distribution. Needless to say, attentiveness was out the door. I even had to step up to the counter to remind the server to charge my card after having waited over 20 minutes since handing it to them. Better oversight is what this place needs. The food just doesn’t make up for their lack of service.

Chicken is good. The specials are a deal. Try and enjoy. The pork cutlet is good too.

I happen to like this place but this is ridiculous. I ordered the combo 6 piece legs, 10 piece wings. Of the 10 pieces, one was 1⁄3 the size of a normal wing. I had my husband drive out there from Valencia just to get this and to receive this for the price they charge, is just super annoying. You can see the picture I posted for reference.

Disappointing since it was my first time here and I’ve heard nothing but good things about this place. Service sucked. We waited for over a good 10 minutes before the worker brought the menus over. Then another million years for him to take our order. We found a hair in the radish dish and he just took it back and replaced it as if it was no big deal. The chicken was also whatevs. I didn’t like any of the sauces. Maybe it would’ve tasted better if I wasn’t already irritated with the service.

Food is decent enough but the server(young asian boy) was incredibly rude. Wouldn’t recommend it :(

Chicken not bad, but workers are unfriendly and absolutely no customer service skills. Last 3 times I order over the phone, twice they made a mistake.

This place is awesome. I guess the b*!&h some peeps have referred to in other posts has left the establishment? I don’t know. but what I do know that that the two young guys that I dealt with were on point! So I go in just to pick up a to go menu and ask some questions since it was my first time there… told them I was planning on ordering some food for later in the night. They proposed taking my order on the spot so I obliged. They called me to confirm 30 mins before the time I wanted it delivered and bam! Delivered with no issued exactly when I wanted it… Everything delivered was hot and good… will definitely order from here again and again.

Their chicken porridge is really good. I had three times already this month! They serve with radish kimchi. My husband tried their fried chicken dish and loved it.

I get this delivered mostly and so far they’re always good on the time it takes and the food is always hot. Best Korean chicken place in the area. Can’t speak for the service or anything like that due to the fact that I’ve only been inside the restaurant once and that was just to pick-up food. I usually get one of the family sets and it’s usually way too much food for 2 people but it’s a good value especially for this area and the quality of the food is good so it’s worth it.

Yum o Yum in my tum tum! Korean fried chicken near me? Oh yes please! This place is a great alternative to the drive to K-town for some KFC(Korean Fried chicken). Really enjoyed their«spicy wings» which didn’t taste so spicy to me. I love gojujang(Korean hot pepper paste) flavored anything! These«Spicy» wings had a hint of cinnamon spices in them that made them real different than what I’ve consumed before at Korean chicken places. I loved the nice soy garlic-y flavor in their«Teriyaki» flavored wings as they call them. All chicken was fried crisp as it should. Steamed rice was perfectly sticky as it should be at any Korean establishment. All chicken is served with pickled Daikon radish as a nice digestive & to cut through all the richness you are consuming. Hot Tea was not available the day I went & I asked several times if they could brew me some but was declined! Service was dead even though the place was empty but it was expected as these type of places are mostly like that.

Not bad, but definitely a place to grab take-out rather than eating at the location. Tried the soy/teriyaki wing and spicy and preferred the teriyaki best. Certainly won’t make it a habit since they are all fried. Nothing here is grilled or broiled. Parking is shared with the local korean market and other establishments. A bit tight at times, but the turnover in parking is pretty fast. Happy fried chicken eats!

Love the food! But the young korean bitch has to go! She is the most meanest rudest person I’ve ever had to deal it! I hope the owner gets rid of her. Unless she is the owners daughter she needs to stay away from the restaurant! She is just a bitch bitch bitch!!!

This is our familys favorite Fried chicken restaurant. We always order combo B which comes with sam gye tang(chicken soup?), full order of chicken, dduk bok kki(spicy rice cake), kim mal ee(fried seaweed wrapped noodles? Lol), salad and drinks. Its plenty of food for 3 of us :) since they have opened, they now added pork katsu which is now my favorite here. They have lunch bentos and kimbab too. Not a fan of their kimbab. but others liked it. Small lot in the front and if its get crowded, street parking is usually not difficult. Go chicken day!

Chicken Day is the best(albeit the only) option for Korean-style chicken in the LC/surrounding areas. I’ve been a loyal customer for years and I really think it’s a solid option to get my chicken fix without having to drive out to K-town, which is juuust far away enough to be inconvenient. There’s the usual offerings of spicy fried chicken and regular fried chicken along with a soy sauce flavor and boneless options. I always get the spicy and soy sauce bone-in chicken and would recommend them if you’re looking for a lot of in-your-face flavor. The pickled daikon radish is KEY and I always ask for extra orders because you really do need that refreshing crunch with every bite of chicken to cut the strong flavor. If you’re a fan of Korean chicken and you happen to be in the area, Chicken Day is your safest bet. My chicken has always been delivered to me hot and juicy and the convenience of its location/delivery service can’t be beat.

What the hell, this is the worst Korean style chicken I’ve ever had. No, this is the worst fried chicken dish I’ve had ever besides my cooking. I don’t consider myself to be a harsh critic when it comes to food. I guess I’m a «foodie», but a low maintenance one, and not a lot of effort is required to impress me. What I got: Tuna Kimbab. They definitely skimped on the tuna, which is supposed to be the main ingredient, but that’s expected. Still, the tuna was apparent and overall it was tasty. The roll also consisted of eggs, imitation crab, pickled lotus roots, cucumbers, carrots, and yellow radishes; all of which were fresh and crunchy. Korean Pepper Sauce Chicken(boneless). The only thing positive I have to say about their chicken is that they were crispy even underneath the thick and jiggly gelatin-y globs of sauce. Ugh, shaking my head. Reminds me of the times my parents had me taking spoonfuls of Robitussin. eyes squinted with a sour puss expression and all. The most offensive part about this dish was the insanely heavy-handed seasoning of ginger. It was ridiculous. Extremely potent and piercing and most definitely not in the way that it was meant to be delicious. There is no way they could’ve served this as «Pepper Sauce Chicken» if they had tasted it prior to serving it. Sweet & Spicy Sauce Chicken(drumsticks). How do I describe the severity of this horribly pungent flavor? It tasted like gochujang(chili paste), sugar and something else I can’t put a finger on… as if it was an afterthought. The flavors weren’t a bit harmonious. Did somebody go impromptu in the kitchen?! How can it be this terrible? The radishes weren’t good. You could tell that they’ve been sitting out, because they were warm and didn’t have that crunch. The steamed rice, which you pay separately for, was annoyingly old. Almost yellow in color and overcooked from too much added water. I have to admit, it’s still a little upsetting thinking about how bad it was. I hope it was just a bad day or something, otherwise if this is their idea of OKAY chicken at the least, it’s probably the sloppiest recipe ever devised besides my cooking. They’ve got me appreciating KyoChon so much more than I ever did.

If your ever craving fried chicken. This is your go to mom and pop shop. The soy sauce fried chicken is hands down their go to item here. If you get to come here between lunch hours. U get 4 pieces of drumsticks, salad, and a drink for $ 6.99 +tax. Now that’s a deal. As far as the other flavors of chicken. Not my cup of tea. Trust me on this. You want the soy sauce chicken. Period.

Chicken Day’s kind of an odd restaurant. Service wise, it’s not quite full service but above Carl’s Jr: you go to the counter, you order, they bring your food out to you, but if you need anything, you kind of just yell it out and they bring you what you need. It’s typically staffed only by like 2 high school/college students so it makes sense. Food-wise, the chicken’s a bit on the greasy side. I think the best options are regular fried chicken(with spicy sauce on the side) or the spicy sauce chicken. It’s actually not spicy at all, more sweet I’d say. The soy sauce chicken is just kind of salty and oily and not what I’d order. What I love about Chicken Day is they have boneless options for lazy, princess eaters like me. It’s definitely a decent place to eat. Sometimes I crave it, but it’s not somewhere I frequent.

We were looking for a good spot for lunch in La Crescenta and we noticed the name. Chicken Day. Must be good. We came here for the chicken and NO! I would not recommend this place at all. Their chicken was very dry! It was a waste of time.
