Just started learning guitar lessons here and I like the easy going, at my own pace learning style. So far I have been enjoying every lesson and always a plus that the studio is 5 min away from house with flexible hours.

My kids have been taking lessons for almost a year now in Fun Music School! I am very happy with the results. They have improved tremendously ! Our teacher is great! He has a wonderful approach to the kids, chooses the correct piano pieces for them to play and encourages them ! After a piano lesson they are in a great mood and won’t complain about practicing:) The school has a very nice homey atmosphere. You see other students coming for all types of music lessons, which is a great example for the kids.

I have never played a musical instrument and had no idea how to read music. After just a few lessons with Nico I can now read and play the piano. I never thought this was something that I could actually do, as I had trouble with learning new things. Nico technic with ensuring that every symbol is understood really made it possible for me be able to learn so quickly. I am a Mom in my mid thirties so there is always something that needs to be done. I now have this as my time, and it makes me feel so good.

My name is James Barros. I am an adult beginner violin student. After years of jumping around from teacher to teacher, trying to find a teacher I could work with, I couldn’t be happier with Michael Fox of Fun Music School. The vast majority of violin teachers are stuck to a strict method, with no flexibility, and either wish to treat all their students as children, or are unable to deviate at all. I was a little hesitant when I first met Michael. He carries himself a little differently from most people, but he’s an amazing teacher. From the first moment I began working with Michael: 1.) He’s been adaptable to my needs, and our very first lesson he helped me understand a song I was trying to work on independently. 2.) He’s been very goal oriented. We do run scales, arpegios and the like, but we also take time to work on songs that are worth playing, things which leave me feeling like I have a chance with the instrument. 3.) He’s incredibly patient and always uplifting, Not nit picking me where I make mistakes, but gently pointing them out only when I don’t see them, and always pointing out what has been improving, which is sometimes hard to keep sight of. 4.) He focuses on really learning the instrument. For example, I do not have tape on the neck to show me where the notes are, but rather, he teaches me how to play double stops and listen for the difference, so I can learn to hear the right notes, rather than simply find them by rote muscle memory and visual cues. If you are an adult, and looking for a wonderful, flexible violin teacher, I can whole heartedly recommend Michael Fox or the other teachers at Fun Music School.
