Magical Cut

Came here for a quick walk-​in haircut (short hair). The stylist was very sweet and personable, so I wish I could give them a better review, but it was a very low quality cut, especially for the price ($ 25). There was no hair wash before or after the cut, just a spray bottle, and she grabbed big chunks of hair and chopped through the whole handful, which I’ve never had a stylist do. Halfway through the cut she excused herself, walked out the door and came back about five minutes later (?) with no explanation. All I could do was watch the infomercial on the TV (seriously…they had the TV tuned to an infomercial channel) and wait. It was a very strange experience. Sadly, I would not go back, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

If you need European facial or microdermabrasion you must go try Bare Beauty Skin Care with Sylvia the Esthetician. I’ve been going to her once a month for the last 2 – 3 years and she always pampered my face with a luxurious facial. Every time I go there her soothing hands always makes me fall asleep for 20 minutes while she leaves the restoring mask on my face. Her individualized treatment is always aimed at using great line of high quality products even she knows what works best for my sensitive skin. I honestly believe she slows down my aging process on my face. I strongly recommend her and she works with appointments. I can’t wIt till my next appointment.

I went to this place several months ago and it was HORRIBLE.
I found this place through Unilocal so felt like I have to write a review here so people should not go through the same thing what I’ve been through.
I was looking for a cheap hair salon and saw a review that this place gives a guy hair cut for $ 10. So I expected to pay 10 bucks but the lady there asked me for $ 15+tip. So I had to pay 20 bucks in total. Found out later that I didn’t have to pay that much tip.
I used to go to only Korean hair salons and this was my first time visiting non-​Korean salon. I was used to get a free hair wash when I get a haircut, but the lady here told me that I have to pay for a hair wash even though I get a haircut here. I’m not sure if every other non-​Korean salons are like this but only this place, or the lady asked money for only me.
Anyway so she didn’t wash my hair and just cut my hair.
I brought the image of a haircut that I wanted. I wanted to shave one side of my hair and just trim my hair otherwise. That was it, but the Armenian lady made the result HORRIBLE.
She shaved my hair but it was still too long. The upper part had to be longer but she cut it too short.
She cut my bang and I could see the zigzag line so clearly.
When she said it’s done, it didn’t look like the picture at all. So I said look, this part doesn’t look like this at all. Then she just cut my hair EVEN SHORTER.
I came home and cut my hair by myself again, but couldn’t even fix well cuz she cut some parts too short.
And while she was cutting my hair she kept watched the TV once and cut my hair once, watched the TV once and cut my hair once…
It was a late night when the store was about to close, so there was no other customer but she didn’t mind to waste my time.
After the haircut is done, she didn’t even try to brush the hair off from me. I had to ask her for a sponge and then I could borrow a sponge to brush the hair off from myself. I came home and hairs found everywhere on my clothes specially inside of my ear.
I didn’t even want to pay for the haircut but I felt bad cuz I went there kinda late. so I paid off the money and just left.
It took me at least 6 month to grow my hair back and I still have to grow it out more cuz the lady there cut it way too short.
I learned my lesson. I will rather pay $ 10 more and will get a better haircut than trash my money in somewhere awful like this…
Going here was worst idea I could ever had and I learned reviews are not always correct for everyone.

This little shop is so not overhyped. I came here without notice to fix my haircut after I donated it to locks of love, and the owner was not only precise but delightful and sweet. Definitely would come back here and refer everyone to this wonderful quaint shop.
The prices are extremely affordable and they will cut your hair to your liking. They accept cards and walk-in’s. Awesome!.

Great hair cuts for the family. Very affordable. Downside is on Sunday there is only one hair dresser (I believe it is the owner). Long wait time!

LOVE this place so far, Salpi is so sweet and will cut your hair exactly like you want it. She cut my hair and double check with me if it was fine or she needed to cut more. She also does threading and takes her time and my eyebrows came out great! I will return :)

Love this salon very bright and welcoming when you walk in. Having short hair is difficult to find someone who can cut exactly the way I want. Salpie, the owner cuts my hair exactly the way I want for such an affordable price. Both ladies are very sweet and friendly with excellent customer service..

I love this place. I come here for dying my hair as well as hair cuts and the occasional blow out before an event. She has really fair prices and she always keeps me entertained with stories while dying my hair (it takes awhile). I prefer to be a walk-​in as my schedule is not fixed and I don’t mind occasionally waiting 15 – 20 minutes. Overall, definitely recommend :)

I go there to see Sylvia for facials. I get Microdermabrasion and Acne treatment. I go about every 2 – 3 weeks. I’ve seen a big improvement in my skin. I had large pores, uneven texture and some acne. Going to Sylvia regularly for the past few months has made my skin look better each time.

It’s been my 3^rd time to come to this place for microdermabrasion facial– because of (huge) hyperpigmentation on several parts of my face, large pores, and acne scars :(
After the 1x treatment, I noticed a big difference. And now, after 3x treatment, my skin looks a lot better. The hyperpigmentations are almost gone, and the pores are really getting smaller. My husband and co-​workers even noticed it!
Sylvia– a licensed esthetician– did such a wonderful job clearing up my face! She is nice, friendly, and very knowledgeable about skincare. She uses natural products. And her prices are very reasonable! :)
I have found my new best friend!

The place is cozy and the owner, Salpie does a great work all for so cheap! Very affordable. If you live in the area, it’s very convenient to walk in even last minutes, she’ll do what you need which is a plus. Not to worry about not having et appointments before time. She is available and not worrying about parking is a plus.
I’ve been going to this place for many years now and she is very genuine and friendly. Unlike other places, the service you get is for the money, this one you can tell she’s there because she cares for your needs.
I met another lady there named Sylvia there recently. Apparently she does facial services.
I checked her product and was amazed to find out her facials are done with 24k gold. Never heard of it before but very interesting. I am very much tempted to. I will write more when I try.

Very affordable and quality hair cuts and coloring. I used to color my hair all the time, and Salbi did a great job with my color! I no longer color my hair but i stop by about once a month for a facial. I purchased a series of microdermabrasion treatments and im loving how my skin looks lately!

Yes, it is true that you are going to have to wait, and that’s because she is good and cheap. For guys in need of a standard cut and gals who want to save a buck between salon visits, this is the place. I always tip $ 4 on the $ 10 cut and she treats me like family. Where else can a guy walk out the door with a good hair cut for under $ 15?

it smells bad in there. and every time i’ve gone i had to wait at least a half an hour becuase the armenian lady owner is the only one that works there. i went home after getting my haricut and realized it was lopsided and she didnt shave my back of my neck. the only reason why i would continue to go back is because it’s under 10 bucks and everywhere else in the area is pushin 20. also they are open on sundays which can be a plus.
