Gross. I can’t vouch for the bulldog that other people error about, because nothing about a fried hotdog sounds appealing to me. I got one of their bowls that came recommended. It was almost inedible. Too bad because the manager seemed earnest and was very enthusiastic. Plus, this place is so close to share I live that it could have been an amazing find… But alas, it wasn’t meant to be and I will never come back here again.

The food is alright, I usually get the Bulldog or the Chicken bowl. The price is not worth the food, and the reason why I give it a 2 star rating is because of the quality of the food and how dirty this restaurant is. I found hairs not only in my food, but my other friends as well. The cook has a long beard that was unkempt, and somehow got into the food. Another time I came here the whole place was being mopped up because of some toilet clogged or leak and it smelled like a dirty mop throughout the whole restaurant. One can obviously see that the restaurant is not in the best shape ever, but eat at your own risk.

This place is not consistent. Sometimes I’ll get a good portion and other times I get such a small amount of meat. Also, sometimes it’s cooked perfectly and other times it’s overcooked. Please keep serving sizes the same. I don’t like it when they skimp on the meat I’m paying for or overcook it.

Honestly the food is good but the service is horrible. I did notice that they don’t wear gloves so she touched the cash and she proceeded to put her hands in the fries and onion rings. basically everything. I am pretty understand with people not being able to speak fluent English. My grandmother can’t speak English, so I get it. I just wish that the person taking the order would be able to communicate better. All I asked was is it possible to get noddles instead of rice and she looked at me if I was crazy. I tried one more time and pointed at the picture and she still didn’t get it, so I gave up. The one thing that was really annoying was that the cashier had her family there and her kids were helping them self to whatever they wanted and she pushed out 5 orders of free food while we waited patiently. If your going to take advantage of your work at least serve the customers first!

It makes me so sad that I have to give this one star. I have been coming to Yaki’s for 20 years. I love love love this spot. But the new«KID» at the front window SUCKS! He does not listen or care about this fantastic place, you can tell him and his little goatee just don’t give 2 ****s. The service is slipping and I hate it! I should not get eyes rolled at me if I would like some extra Froggy Sauce! The old guys will give me a bucket if I asked. Please Yaki management return this place to its former glory and get rid of the kid

They never wear gloves and use their bare hands to handle the food after putting their hands in the cash register, and there’s always bugs flying around everywhere. I know it’s an old place that has«sentimental value» to the community, but they really need to pull this place together. It’s just weird and gross. You get what you pay for right?

I can’t decide if Yaki’s is a step up or down from Yoshinoya. With Yoshinoya’s angus beef option, it’s really a toss. I came here once with my two brothers who are hearty eaters, they ordered the burgers and really didn’t comment on whether it was good or bad; evidently, it was good. I ordered the chicken bowl. It really lacked a bit of that Asian teriyaki flair-vor… The rice was too thick glutinous and heavy. The seating was a tad cold and somewhat uninviting. Overall, it’s a solid 3 stars for effort and I won’t hesitate to bring my brothers here again for their burgers.

Went here the other Friday night for a quick dinner to go for the family. This place has been here for loooonnnnggg time! Next door to El Sol mexican restaurant. We ordered to go the ‘Big’ chicken plate which includes chicken, cole slaw, and potato salad. The magic sauce is great too. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was a super big portion for the money spent. Small parking lot in front so be careful when parking as the stalls are on a slight hill. We always order from this original spot and have never tried the other location on Foothill blvd.

Place is what it is. But as fast food places go the food is pretty good. It is a way to get a decent meal fast and its not as bad as some burger joints. The workers seem to be just going through the motions and don’t get a real«hey welcome glad your here feeling». I tend to go for the Giant Steak and Chicken bowl. Try it!

I get the vibe that the employees hate their job, but they’re nice. That’s understandable, I don’t blame them haha; this review is about the food anyway. I’ve been here a few times, the food was alright. I don’t like ordering plates & bowls, it tastes pretty bland. I prefer sticking to the burgers/sandwiches here(and a side order of potato salad). Also, I don’t recall the teriyaki sauce being so droopy, but whatever. It’s worth stopping by every now and then whenever you’re craving something greasy.

This is the original Yakis. I remember way back when Mario RIP, ran the store. Lots of locals from Crescenta Valley high where his bread-and-butter of the business. Always has had good undocumented workers(I’m guessing on that due to the language factor). But good ones like Martine who’s worked at several of his stores for over 10 years now. The food is great, and they’ve gotten fast with how they cook it even though it’s cooked to order never have I had a bad piece of meat or anything that looked inedible. Yakis has a good combination of some really healthy stuff and some unhealthy stuff like burgers Bulldogs and Yakicitos I remember years ago when they had a giant burrito! And tacos The place is great and Harry does a darn good job he has a lot on his plate since the passing of his father

Delicious food, the burgers and bulldogs are amazing. Make sure to get bulldog sauce. The sauce is thousand island mixed with teriyaki sauce, you would think eww but its really good. The fries aren’t so great, but the onion rings are mmm good. Ive always been satisfied eating here, the only thing i can say that is ehh ok is that the food is heavy. Im basically bloated when im done eating. Its a lot of food but this place deserves my 5 star rating!

Yaki’s definitely holds a soft spot in my heart as one of my childhood favorites. I grew up around the area and ate here multiple times a week for many years lol. At Yaki’s, what you see is what you get: cheap, greasy, and completely satisfying teriyaki bowls and burgers. It’s really quite simple, you must get the Yaki’s chicken bowl with potato salad. Even if you opt to get the bowl with the cabbage salad, make sure to get a side order of the potato salad– you won’t regret it! I’m sad to say that on my most recent visit, I noticed that both the teriyaki and hot sauces seemed to be more diluted than they were in the past. Not sure why, but give me my hot sauce back! Still, I’ll always love and return to Yaki’s.

This place is the best for quick cheap food! Obviously it’s not the classiest place to get chicken teriyaki, but who needs to go to a classy place for chicken teriyaki, rice, and some steamed vegetables? The teriyaki sauce is tasty. I love it. I usually ask for easy teriyaki, otherwise they just drench the entire bowl. I used to go to this place a lot in high school with the CVHS Varsity tennis team. Ahh the good old days! GOFALCONS!

The food quality here is consistent with other Yaki’s locations. It’s just as tasty. So I take no issue with that. SEATING– Well, it’s got indoor seating, but if you arrive in the afternoon– the sun will bake you as you sit and wait for your food(I’ll mention the wait time in a moment). The seating is really cramped. There are a couple of bench types of tables, and several stool/counter top seats mashed into this super tiny eating area. SERVICE– I didn’t notice the same problem that other reviewers have of not being noticed. They did take our order almost immediately after we walked in. Although they didn’t greet us, they were ready at least. It did take a LOOOOOONNNNNGGGG time to finally get our food. Yes, I would like my food to be prepared fresh, and not just pulled out from under a heat lamp– BUT it seemed a little overly long. When we order the same items at the Burbank location, it always has come out in less than half the time we spent waiting at this location. PARKING– It’s a tiny lot, shared with several other little shops including a laundromat. Be prepared to search for a spot to park… and then once inside it’ll be another search for a place to comfortably sit. So, considering the upsides(tasty food) vs. the downsides(parking, slow service, super cramped seating) — it’s only a 2-star location in my book.

What happened to this place? The food is terrible and the service is non-existent. If I were the owner, I’d replace the 2 ladies working there IMMEDIATELY. I stood there in an empty restaurant for a few minutes while the 2 continued soon what they were doing in the back. Looked at me then went right back. Didn’t even acknowledge me, greet me or ask any questions. I stood in front the register and had to shout my order to the lady who barely spoke any English. The food: I ordered the chicken bowl with half rice half veggies. Note to the owner: tell your staff to not put half the water from the steamed veggies in a rice bowl. Dry the veggies out first. Half my bowl was water and soggy rice. Chicken was chewy and very dry. Probably from the 4 iron weights they out on it to grill it faster. Didn’t settle well with my stomach ATALL! Avoid!
