My grandmother currently resides at The Grove and has been there for approximately three years. In the past, there were definitely some issues we had to over come, however things have changed. New management has taken over The Grove within the last 3 – 5 months and needless to say the difference is incredible. My wife and I had our wedding in mid October and had accepted the fact my grandmother, who is confined to a wheel chair, would not be able to attend. Linda, one of the new Grove administrators, went out of her way and provided free transportation for my grandmother at no cost. She orchestrated having two staff members accompany my grandmother, to make sure she was in good hands during our special day. Without the help of Linda, our day would not have been complete. My grandmother had an amazing time and was able to partake in a day no one will forget. Thank you to Linda and the entire Grove staff for their overwhelming kindness. I am hopeful new management will continue to make The Grove a better and more well rounded senior citizen home!

My mother has been at this facility for several years and while I admit there have been a lot of management changes, the current Administrator seems to want to make a difference and has been very responsive to any concerns that we have raised. There are some wonderful staff on board including, social services and nursing personnel here for the long term. Like any facility in the U.S., There is a lot of turnover at lower levels and issues have to be addressed sometimes more than once but overall, we are pleased by the responsiveness we’ve had to any issues. We feel the key is to be involved by visiting your loved one regularly and if there are several of you communicating with each other in terms of how your loved one is doing so that there is accountability for continuity as respects any issues that have surfaced and adjustments are appropriately made. If you want your loved one to die without care in a snake pit, this is the place. I watched my mother and other residences receive indifference and the poorest medical care possible. Where good food, exercise, tenderness, respect, and medical treatment should be provided at the end of life, the staff at this place cares nothing for the patients they serve. You will be put in a wheel chair without sufficient water, healthy food, made to be a zombie with drugs, and treated like a bag of garbage to be disposed of. Your diaper will rarely be changed and bed sores will be all over your body and covered up with soiled bandages. Please find someone who can help you at home, if possible, or a home that wants to treat a person as a friend with respect and love.
