Wow !!! This is an amazing location in a beautiful city. I don’t think the name brand of this place misses it mark with the em weather either. I am not an ice cream consumer typically so the choices were quite impressive. Mixing it in front of me was something I hadn’t seen before so I thought that was cool. Why stop there just dip the cone in chocolate and sprinkles to knock me off my feet. Having to sit down was not a problem. Their architecture and patio furniture made it easy to find somewhere to relax.

This place is amazing but a bit pricey but we’ll worth and the guy who works at it is awsome!

**UPSTAIRS via Prospect St.** This locations is a little confusing to me. You go up the escalator that faces Prospect St., but they have all kinds of signage on Fay Ave. which makes it look like you could enter on that side as well. The one girl working was very friendly and provided us with all the samples we wanted. There is not much seating here, 3 small tables inside and 1 outside each with only 2 chairs.

The ice cream is smooth and fresh. The employees are fast and nice(wishing you a good day and stuff) good experience at this location! FYI it’s on a second floor, and it does have a restroom! :)

It was a hot day. What a nice way to cool off after a long walk along the La Jolla shore. The ice cream was tasty, the service was quick and the place looked like it was pretty clean. Pretty good selection of ice creams.

Not what a Coldstone can be and usually is. This location, despite the great neighborhood, is run down and unkept. Just like the plaza it seats on. There was just one employee handling ice cream and money. He touched my cone with bare hands… Won’t be going back to this location.

Honestly, the ice cream is over priced and mediocre quality at best. But the staff here are chill. Evan made some pretty dope ice cream for us and was funny. There are infinitely better ice cream choices in this bougie la jolla shopping area.

This location needs to highly improve the cleanliness of the counter & work space!!! Less concerned about the pissed off teen with the dark brown knitted cap… Looking forward to what deathly symptoms I may have tonight!!! Zero Stars.

From the beginning of my entrance into this Cold Stone I felt welcome. I had a lovely time chatting with Evan, who was nice, and friendly. The ice cream was delicious, as always. I never go wrong with Cold Stone. Thanks for a fun, and interesting night, Evan.

Always the nicest staff and very high quality ice cream! Sometimes ends up being a long wait because each ice cream dish takes a few minutes to prepare and personalize, so I would recommend this location staffing a little more heavily on peak times and seasons.(I think we waited about 20+ minutes for ice cream one time with only 4 people in front of us.) Love coming here for a treat, though, and the employees are always wonderful!

Wow, can I just say wow? As soon as I walked in to cold stone I felt welcome. The young associate, Blake, did a wonderful job and made me feel like I was special as soon as I walked in the doors. His wrist work with the ice cream was beyond mesmerizing. My cone was wonderful and I had a great time chatting and relaxing :) Thanks for a great time Blake! I will be back!

Love Cold Stone and this location! Near the beach in the village of La Jolla(UPSTAIRS though…) The service is great and the ice cream and for my friend(frozen yogurt) was even better! They make it fresh in the store and it is 100% customizable in front of you! Don’t go in if you are indecisive as there are too many options. I also like the fact that I can get a smoothie while my kids enjoy ice cream(or a churro sundae) Great ice cream, great location!

I love their ice cream cakes. I get one every year for my birthday. My favorite is mint ice cream and chocolate cake, but switch the outside frosting to chocolate instead of the standard white. Yummy!!!

Was expecting normal yummy coldstone ice cream but found my ice cream to be old… Not tasty… I didn’t know it was possible for ice cream to get like that

Been in a few times over the past 18 months, but found the owner/operator(Randy) behind the counter yesterday. Apparently, one of his teenage staff wanted some time off during the holidays, so Randy stepped in to cover for her. Very cool in my book. I always get ice cream, so I tried a cherry shake this visit. It was superb, but I also got some pumpkin ice cream for my freezer. Thanks Randy. Happy to post nice things about good businesses.

I don’t normally go for ice cream when I’m in La Jolla because of the gelato place but, I was just feeling like ice cream for a change. I decided to go wild and get the Strawberry Banana Rendezvous and WOW, just WOW. The chunky banana, fresh strawberries, bits of Graham Cracker Pie Crust mixed into strawberry ice cream gives you a different surprise and consistency in every bite. I don’t like white chocolate(which it normally comes with) and I subbed for mini chocolate chips in there instead. BESTDECISIONEVER. The white chocolate chips would make it way too sweet and hard to eat — normal chocolate chips balanced out the sweetness just a bit and made me a very happy girl.

This location is disgusting. The bathroom was filthy. There was piss on the seat, toilet paper everywhere and it was clearly not clean. I couldn’t help but notice the entire place was gross when I left the restroom. Somebody needs to review the place for food safety regulations because its disturbing they sell ice cream.

This is a smaller Cold Stone location, but the staff are friendly and it’s never really that crowded. I like all the Signature Creation flavors — especially the Founder’s Favorite with sweet cream ice cream! I came here for my birthday and couldn’t find the free ice cream special on my phone, but the salesperson was nice enough to give it to us free anyway. Word to the wise: print out the coupon as they typically can’t accept the code on a smart phone. Ohh, and the«Gotta Have it» size is WAY too much ice cream unless you plan on sharing with a few people(more than 2!) or saving it for later.

The owner and employees are friendly and accommodating. The ice cream is delicious, and I love the music they play. If you aren’t sure what to get, they will recommend mix-ins according to your taste and ice cream of choice. So many to choose from. Sometimes this Coldstone will not have the same signature creations as the other stores. Ask the employees and they can make it for you special, or look it up if they don’t know. The cheesecake and coffee ice creams are incredible. Oh boy oh boy. The cheesecake tastes EXACTLY like the real deal, and the coffee ice cream is the perfect amount of strong flavor with creamy sweetness. You must try it. But listen up, people. I’m seeing a few worthless reviews of this location. This is a ****ing ice cream store with teenagers who work a summer job. That’s it. It’s not a four star restaurant and it’s not the hoity-toity La Jolla fluff with royal catering. Be realistic with your reviews. There will be ice cream dripped outside, the public bathroom will not be spotless, toppings and cones will run out as summer demand increases. It happens. As long as you get your ice cream and it is tasty, that’s the bulk of the expectations right there. Take your snobby, unrealistic reviews elsewhere.

We stopped by here for some dessert while walking through La Jolla. If you’ve been to one Cold Stone, you’ve been to them all. It’s not bad, just not great. I prefer many of the local St. Louis ice cream joints(Oberweis, etc) to Cold Stone. I had peanut butter ice cream with reeses peanut butter cups. Yes, I love peanut butter. :) It was good, just not wonderful. Maybe I just wasn’t that hungry having eaten dinner not too long before being there. Either way, Cold Stone is further down the list of places I enjoy going for ice cream.
