I was visiting SD for the day with a couple of my friends on a Monday, we stopped by this place and the food was so good, all my buddies enjoyed it as well, the waiter was very nice and very accommodating, overall it was a good experience, highly recommended!

Omg I tried the goat cheese, basil, bacon panini. best thing I’ve tried in long time. The flavor was just incredible and nothing overpowered, all flavors blended nice. Every bite was delicious! The offer half sandwiches which I very much appreciate and will definitely be coming back here again

It’s a small deli tucked away amidst a few shops and restaurants, so it’s not visible from the street. We picked up a few sandwiches to take home and they were tasty.

I started looking for a place to eat after an appointment with a client and of course I asked Unilocal for a recommendation. This is a great little deli that is tucked away in a little plaza. It is slightly hard to find but just look for the Boars Head awning. Simplistic,(in a good way) fast and friendly. The proprietors know how to treat people and I respect any business that remembers that customer service goes a long way. They got really busy while I was there and handled it all well. It is small inside, I would suggest taking it to go if you have more than 2 people in your party. Well done!

Small cozy area in a business alley. Parking may be difficult due to a busy area of town so expect to walk a ways in. Small seating area so majority of clients took their food to go but we sat down and enjoyed the restaurant. :) Food itself was great.

Great sandwiches — had the lumber jack and chicken BBQ. Friendly local service. Came by after traveling to Birch aquarium for lunch. Not a lot of seating so future advice would be to get it to go. Sort of hard to find since have to walk into a shopping center. Good food and nice people though. No bathroom access and water available in a container.

Awesome sandwiches! The BEST customer service and welcoming staff. I will definitely return! Don’t hesitate. Give this place a shot! La Jolla’s little hidden gem!

Based on the one sandwich I had, the turkey & avocado panini, it was delicious! Perfectly crunchy, melty cheese, buttery sourdough pressed to perfect. My mom also had the Lumber Jack and she also agreed hers was very good. She especially liked the sourdough bread. I would come back here again for the good prices and large selection of food! They have a wide variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads. Also, cookies! Located in a cute alley of shops in La Jolla.

Came her at 3:50 and they looked seriously pissed off at having to serve me. Sorry! Next time I won’t bother.

Wanted to grab a quick inexpensive bite at La Jolla and we found this little place with some delicious panini’s and sandwhiches… the soups were pretty good. Would definitely be back whenever we are in La Jolla(:

Cute little deli with inexpensive breakfast option and clever(?) wordplay in its name. Came to visit La Jolla Cove and wanted some breakfast and since deli-cious opened really early and was really close by, we decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. The lady behind the counter was super nice and it is just such a cute place to enjoy our breakfast!

We stopped here for lunch on a Monday. The sandwiches were very good and the variety to choose from was plentiful. One of our family members has a vegan diet and there were a couple of sandwiches to choose from. Prices are very reasonable for being in La Jolla. The staff working at the place were cordial and appreciative of our business. I would recommend going here if you want to support a quality local sandwich shop over one of the many national chains that are out there.

I work right next door to this deli and get breakfast and lunch a couple times a week. They have great service, are fast and the delivery is great! Sandwiches are good overall but I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because of the price and the construction of the sandwiches. I’m constantly reorganizing the sandwiches because they pile all the ingredients in the middle :/

After coming here weekly for almost a year, I felt like I needed to up my 4 star review to 5 stars. This place is amazing, consistently good and fast service and the sandwiches are top notch. The lumberjack on french roll is still my favorite chicken sandwich(of all time). Best prices for lunch if you work in the downtown La Jolla area(less than $ 10 for a filling sandwich). They deliver to local businesses too so that’s a plus!

LOVE this local mom & pop deli! They serve all Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, and you can grab a quick and delicious sandwich, wrap, soup, and/or salad for a good price. You can eat in the patio area of the International Shops-where they are located(admittedly a little challenging to find, at first), or take it with you down to the coast to enjoy a beautiful view of La Jolla and the Pacific Ocean. I often get them to deliver to my office in La Jolla Village, and they take cash and/or credit/debit cards for your convenience. They also have chips, bakery items, and sodas to add to your order. My favorite things there are the Buffalo Chicken Panini, the Chicken Caesar Wrap, The Club w/bacon, Chicken Waldorf, TBA, Ham & Swiss Panini… oh my goodness, I could probably go on for days, but these are my favorites! The owners and all employees of this shop are always super nice and friendly, the service is quick and order is always correct. I highly recommend this place for a quick low-key option for lunch in the Village!

New to the area and apparently this is the go to sandwich place for lunch during work! I’ve already been here twice and I only just started working 2 weeks ago. They are reasonably priced, especially being in La Jolla. I got a TBA(Turkey, bacon, avocado) sandwich for 7.95! Its on nice toasty sourdough and has that home-made quality to it! I also love that they use sprouts as I don’t often see that at other sandwich shops. I think majority of their sandwiches are good because I def. experienced food envy when I saw other sandwiches come out! They are a hole in the wall, which I love! You have to walk halfway through the little court to see them but it’s well worth it! They are a very friendly staff and have delivered to the office extremely quick! Grab a sandwich and take a 3 minute walk down to the beach. It’s the best combo! BTW: For all you bacon addicts. It’s the good bacon! Meaning it’s the crispy kind! :)

I had an appointment in LJ and decided to give this place a try. I parked about 6 blocks away and headed over. It’s not easy to find, tucked into the back of a strip of local businesses. The nice woman at the register gave me a few pointers on the more popular sandwiches. I finally decided on the BBQ Bleu chicken panini. I received my food quickly and sat outside in the patio area. The seating inside is pretty limited anyway. The panini was toasted just right and had a good amount of shredded chicken inside. The bleu cheese and bacon with the side of buffalo sauce was a great combination. The woman told me they’ve been at that spot for 22 years, so they must be doing something right. Finding it is the main obstacle to enjoying a very fine sandwich.

Stopped in for a quick bite with a friend a couple weeks ago, while vacationing in California. First off, the café can be tough to find. It’s a tiny hole-in-the wall place. Once you enter a line of shops, just keep walking past the atrium. You should see the sign for Deli-cious will be in your left. The guy working at the counter was so nice! I asked him if he had any recommendations, and he said I can’t go wrong with any of the hot sandwiches. So I chose the Turkey and Avocado Panini. The sandwich was pretty much the epitome of a good sandwich. It had a very home-cooked feeling, but was definitely better than anything I could make at home. The bread was lightly buttered, and was perfectly crisp on both sides(no charring whatsoever!) When I first saw it, I was disappointed at how thin it was, but it was packed full of flavor! Note that there is no restroom within the café, but there is one nearby if you head outside.

I saw one of their flyers sitting on a bench outside my dentist’s office and went to find them in a short walk around the corner. I just had a simple half egg salad sammie with a cup of split pea soup. Sammie was good, soup was just ok. Had to go soft as I just had a crown glued in, and this fit the bill. And that bill was around $ 7.50. I think it is a great alternative for something fast and unusually inexpensive in this ritzy area of La Jolla. I would go back again if in the area and needed a quickie. Not a destination place like everything else around these here parts.

I’m ashamed of myself. I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed the establishment that provides me lunchy nourishment at least 2 days a week! What is wrong with me??? The one positive to belated review is that I have tried quite a bit and can give a VERY thorough review. Leggo! The highlights: soup/sammy combo is my absolute fav from here! Cup of soup and ½ of any sammy on the menu! or… you can get the salad/soup…but salad is LAME. So, I won’t waste my time on discussing it. They have chili everyday… LOVE. Its really good! And then they usually feature 2 additional soup of the day options. My favorites are their minestrone, Italian wedding, broccoli cheddar, they have a creamy mushroom sometimes. My all time fav is the chili though. Sammy highlights include TBA, their turkey cranberry sandwich is amazing, buffalo chicken, turkey with green chili’s…honestly all their sandwiches are really good. I’ve never been disappointed with any sandwich from here. I think the salads are overpriced and not that great to be honest. They deliver to the local businesses in the area and this deli is totally mom and pop. The family that owns it is so cute and sweet :) In La Jolla, you can’t beat the price!
