My wife practically has an orgasm every time she eats the gâteau aileen. I would have to agree with her enthusiasm. It’s the real thing and then some. The GA can get sold out of course, but that only speaks to its awesomeness.

Let’s start this off with saying that I’ll be judging them by 1 macaron making it hard to write a cohesive review. I’ll try to post an update if i do end up coming here again but so far I’m literally basing the entire opinion of the place by one French staple. Where do I start? Let’s see… Walk in just to explore. Notice pretty macarons. Some pretty subdued colors. Others poisonous looking teal. Decide to get one. Salted Caramel. Worker picks out a poisonous teal one. Sigh. «Are you sure that’s caramel?». «Yes.» “Ok.“ Bite. It’s stale. Sigh. $ 2.50 wasted, didn’t even accept credit card. No real caramel flavor. Butter and stale sugar. I can’t even bring myself to give my usual +1/-1 because i’m afraid the bad taste will make the review too negative. Will i be back? Possibly… Now question for other Unilocalers(who might have gotten spoiled with authentic European baking) — what’s ACTUALLY good here?(and won’t cost the price of a firstborn child).

10 stars!!! Wedding dessertier extraordinaire! We used Michele Coulon as wedding cake and(mini-)dessert maker for our wedding in August 2015. We are HUGE fans. First of all, her stuff is delicious. The cake-tasting we had with them was an EVENT. And, obviously, it’s a lot of cake to taste — so they gave us very generous amounts to take home too. The minis are also wonderful. Really, the quality and deliciousness are amazing. Second, Michele herself is incredibly prompt with email and any questions you may have, and very nice to boot, and her whole staff is a joy to work with — any event planning, especially wedding, is pretty stressful, and they just made it wonderful and easy for us. Third, they were awesome about making a very small wedding cake for us and charging a fairly small price for it, so actually, the pricing for the entire order of cake plus desserts for 75 people turned out extremely reasonable. Fourth, they will do custom colors for you: if you want pistachio macarons, but your wedding colors are cream and purple, they can make them in cream and purple. Fifth, everyone at the wedding raved about the dessert. We can’t wait to go back for more, as of course we didn’t get to eat all the minis during the wedding.(But we did eat them during the tasting, so fear not, I know what I’m talking about!) Thank you Michele and team!!!

Saw a lady walked out the corner store with a box which is usually for cake. Went to investigate and found this cute dessert shop. Had a piece of chocolate cake for $ 10 which seems too pricey, but totally worth the $$ because it was made with the premium ingredients. Also it was just right amount of sweetness and light on my taste bud. Absolute worth coming back for occasional indulgence.
