I dunno how to really review MOM. But for what it is, I love it. Enough seating and outlets most of the time, comfortable couches and large enough tables to spread out! Also, they have Muir Woods inside which has decent beverages!( ) $ 4 minimum on credit cards or else there is a $ 0.25 charge, so keep that in mind! Protip: The coffee side is quieter most of the time, and generally less crowded! I know that sounds unexpected since there is a pretty constant stream of people getting coffee, but it has been my experience that still it is quieter and easier to study than the side with more couches and tables.

I LOVEMOM!!! They have good drip coffee if you’re in a hurry, and make great lattes, mochas, etc, if you have more time. They are awesome about customer loyalty, and give you punch cards where 10 drinks = 1 free. They also give a discount for using your own mug. They also have awesome tasty snacks that are fairly inexpensive. MOM is my favorite place to get coffee near the Psych dept, and everyone working there is always really friendly. Note the credit card minimum is 4 $, but if you don’t have cash they just charge an extra .25 or .50 cents, so its not the end of the world.

MOM is possibly the best place on UCSD campus. Best nap-worthy couches, computers, printers, copy machine sundry store in the back for snacks and small meals and even some school supplies and cold medicines. Located in Muir College(WHOOOO!) and with super awesome staff I hangout here all the time.

I love MOM. I used to eat lunch here often when I went to UCSD and held my office hours here when I TA’ed. They had the same Zanzibar sandwiches and salads that you could find at the Sunshine Store and other places around campus, but they were usually a little bit cheaper. If you’re one of those people who packs a lunch before getting to campus, they have a microwave that you can use. It can get a little loud here, but it’s a great place to watch tv between class, get a snack, or cram for a test. The coffee is probably the cheapest you’ll find on campus and they have 50 cent day old pastries! SOGOOD. It’s always a good day if there’s a apple turnover or chocolate croissant left in the day olds.

MOM is an amazing resource for students. With some of the cheapest prices on campus, you can find school supplies, sandwiches, soups, scantrons, and sweets. I’ll admit MOM used to be a little janky, but its recently been renovated and is looking good! Computers are available for free use with a UCSD login, and the store just got an improved WiFi connection. There is also a flat screen TV on the wall which students are free to use. Lots of new couches and tables are available for studying or hanging out between classes. The popular Muir Woods coffee shop attached, you have caffeine and pastries close by as well :)
