SurfSET 858

This is a great place to workout and I love the surfset classes.
Ryan the instructor is very good instructor, I really enjoy the classes it is hard and at the same time fun also.
The major downside to this place is that they do not have many classes, the class timing they are offered is limited and this place does not have a shower.

I’m proud of myself today for getting my butt in gear for an early morning SurfSet session with Ryan. All I wanted was to hit the snooze alarm, but I ended up being the only one there (cuz’ it was so darn early) and I found myself in a private session! Bonus!
I sweated like crazy, learned several new moves, and even conquered a major fear … Thank you Ryan for an awesome workout and a great start to the day. I highly recommend 858!

The first time I got on a board, I couldn’t stop laughing because the board wouldn’t stop wobbling underneath my feet. I consider myself pretty fit and have worked out my entire life from running to cycling; and am a Hot Yoga instructor/​studio owner. Surfset is a great addition to my workouts! My muscles and balance improved by the minute. After the workout and throughout the day, I could feel my core engaged and strong. Surfset 858 is a sure fire workout to tone and strengthen your body!

I saw Surfset on Shark Tank on ABC about a year ago. I am an avid watcher and was excited to see that this was coming to my area. I’ve never surfed a day in my life, so I was hesitant. But after speaking to Ryan, (one of the owners, it’s a family owned company) he assured me that you don’t have to be a surfer as a pre-​requisite. It was one of the most amazing/​fun workouts I’ve ever done. I really appreciated the functional-​movement training. At the beginning my board was moving like crazy, but by the end my body had already adjusted itself to balance better. I’ve never had a workout that shows results that fast. I will definitely be doing SURFSET as much as possible. I’m very excited to see their new studio in downtown La Jolla.
