Tried this place on a whim after craving sushi and immediately buying their Groupon. It’s definitely in the middle of nowhere and in a standard strip mall, but their rolls are unique and quite tasty. They even had tempura green onion which I don’t remember seeing on any menu before. Total for two of us with two large beers was 30 some dollars after the groupon. Very decent priced and the servings were huge.

4 Stars because regardless of the reviews, I did not dine in to check out their customer service. For some reason this place seems to have a lot of complaints about their customer service but honestly while waiting for my to-go order they were nothing but welcoming. While I was waiting I was offered water & had a little convo with the manager; he was really friendly! I ordered… MARINAROLL: This has salmon on top & I forgot what was inside… The marina roll has a strong salmon flavor so that’s why I only remember the salmon lol. It was not too fishy at all; it was delicious! FOREVERTUNA: This roll is definitely for tuna lovers! I’m not much of a tuna lover but my boyfriend is. Although I don’t really prefer tuna, this roll makes it a bit more enjoyable because the freshness of the fish. WIPEOUT: This has octopus, tempura shrimp, crab mix, avocado & and to top it off, seaweed salad on top! This roll was good but it didn’t «wow» me as much as I thought it would. Still enjoyed it though but I believe they have better options on their special roll menu. Again, since their fish is really fresh I definitely recommend any roll! Although my order was to-go, I could tell he spent his time making it & made it presentable even in the to-go box, which I appreciated. PS: If you’re friends with any of the workers, you can get 15% off, no questions! Also, if you have a groupon you can ONLY use it when you dine in not take out!

Great sushi, but the management? Ehh… Last time they had a chihuahua in the kitchen and the servers were petting it while on the job. Today, servers were cleaning a table and spilled water on the floor. They didn’t put up a «Caution» sign until a lady slipped and fell on the floor an was sent home with a bag of ice to put on her abdomen. Well what can I say? Great sushi but they need to step it up on the management and servers.

If I could describe this establishment in one word, it would be inconsistent. Picture this, Friday night two hours before closing. We were greeted right away and told to sit wherever we wanted which is awkward if you’ve never been there. Our water cups were mismatched and I thought it funny to have different colored cups. Later on I complimented our server on her eyeliner because it looked really nice and she disappeared for the rest of the night leaving us to be served by THREE other different servers. Super strange so close to closing. My friend had been here before and ordered a jalapeño roll she loved last time but this time it was completely missing the cilantro that was liberally sprinkled on her plate. We asked server #2 about it and she said it was in the roll but my friend pulled up a picture from her last visit so the server caved in and brought more cilantro. This server picked up our water cups and brought it back not quite sure who’s water was whose, which I’m sure the two colors were supposed to remind her. Mind you, I have a food handler’s card and I don’t ever remember taking used servewear back to the kitchen to be refilled again. My rainbow roll came and it looked unappetizing because it was so lopsided for a roll known to have two equal pieces of tuna, salmon, albacore, shrimp, and avocado. The service was extremely slow after that which was problematic because we dropped some chopsticks and needed new ones, I attributed the wait to having two other servers finishing off our meal. When we left all the employees I saw were just hanging out at the table in front of the restaurant. Nothing says bad service like a break room right when you walk in. Also, none of the servers had their long hair tied up which is a health code violation. Something consistent between the servers were colored leggings and tank tops with their lingerie hanging out. The tilted kilt has lingerie clad servers but at least they’re in uniform and professional you know? I would prefer not to be distracted by the waitstaff’s blue lace bralettes, neon rainbow zebra leggings, chokers and hair feathers that were hot in 2011. If you want to have a respectable establishment, enforce a dress code on your employees and have experienced sushi line cooks on Friday nights. My friend had a groupon for here and needless to say this experience further engrains my distrust for discount sushi.

The food is so good… We had the jalapeño popers, the Tijuana roll and the chipotle roll all so delicious. The service was where it was all BAD, came in tonight on a rainy slow night. We got up a total of three times to find our waitress(the one with the red hair)!!! When the time came to pay, we had our money on the check tray the waitress went to the table next to us twice but never came to get our money. I finally got up and found her chatting with the other employees while she sat at the bar eating and drinking. I will be back because the food was amazing but hopefully the staff learns how to show good customer service.

Came here for lunch with my mom last week. I hadn’t been here in years. The food is still good, but the service is a bit slow. Our server was friendly, just slow with things like the check or refills, ect. My mom noted that it’s like that every time she comes in, so I don’t know. I did notice that there was only one server though. We were greeted immediately upon entering, and when we left the owner thanked us warmly. Arigato is located in a small strip mall on Baltimore Dr with plenty of parking. It’s a small restaurant but there is a fair amount of seating in the back part, beyond the sushi counter. They have lunch specials and happy hour deals. They also take part in groupon apparently. The menu is a few pages long. I didn’t have enough patience to read through all of it to be honest. I wanted a variety, so I went with a combination plate. We also ordered the tempura to split. This was surprisingly good. The batter was very light and the veggies were fresh and crisp still. My meal came with miso soup. This was pretty good. The tofu was firm and the soup was flavorful. The salad that came with my meal was also good. It was dressed just right. I can’t stand it when places drown salad in dressing, ugh. This was nice and light. The chicken I ordered came with sauce, but they brought it out on the side, which was nice. I tasted it and it was so good I ended up not needing the sauce. Everything I had was fresh tasting and good. I’d come back again to try something different.
