El Pollo Loco

We tried the burritos, the tostada, and the pollo avocado bowl. And they were all really good and we were all very happy with our meals. My hubby loved his chipotle burrito and wished he bought a second one when he finished his :)
My tostada was amazing. The shrimp were plump and spicy. And the pico de gallo was fresh and the beans and rice were cooked well and flavorful. We got lunch again because it was such a hit with everyone. The service was excellent also. The cashier was super nice and offered suggestions when we told her it was our first time last night. Great place!

This place is the best, and it never fails to disappoint. Its the cleanest Pollo Loco that I have ever been to and there customer service is outstanding. I come here often, and the food is always warm and fresh.

I ate at this place many times. The food is usually pretty good and healthy. The last time unfortunately the salad wasn’t as fresh as usual. I brought up the issue to Christina and Oscar who they handled it very nicely and acted as a real professional. I would definitely return to this location.5 stars for the customer service.

I was here for lunch with coworkers today and while we were sitting waiting for our food, a worker came and asked if we could do the survey. She asked for my coworker phone and took it to her manger. They came back after we asked for the phone back and give her the $ 1 off for food next time. What frustrated us was that they took the survey themselves. We could of done the survey ourselves, I couldn’t believe that a business would do such thing just to get a good report.

This location is absolutely disgusting. I went there on Tuesday night and the entire kitchen was filthy. The trash was over flowing and spilling on to the ground. There was food EVERYWHERE! I have never seen so much cross contamination. When they were bringing fresh food out, they didn’t replace the containers, they were just dumping it on top of the old stuff. The counters were covered with rice and beans. The chef was preparing the food on top of the filthy counter tops with out any foil or paper or containers for protection. When they made our burritos incorrectly (twice), the cook removed the unwanted ingredient (sour cream) WITH HIS HAND and rolled the burrito back up. I never once made a scene but did ask for a refund and got nothing but attitude from the cashier who kept staring me down and rolling her eyes at me. I called corporate immediately after leaving this store. I will never eat here or at ANY other el pollo loco again. I have a picture of the kitchen on my. other phone and WILL BE posting as soon as I have a chance.

This is just disappointing and quite ridiculous for the price.
Usually always get a Tostada salad. Still pricey but worth it.
I got a 2pc meal yesterday and I would be embarrassed to serve what I got.
The Leg and thigh were the tiniest chicken pieces Ive ever seen.
I don’t eat much but if that meal was for a regular adult I would be even more angry.
You would probably have to get an 8 piece for it to be equivalent to a 2 piece meal at KFC or Popeyes chicken.
El Pollo Loco for the prices you charge we should be getting better quality product.

El pollo is really good, they have the best chicken. Me and my co workers always come here for our lunch break. The only thing I don’t like is the bell that people can ring.

Dont use the drive thru. I tried to get food here on ⁹⁄₁₀ around 12:15. I ordered the
3 piece chicken combo, 2 breasts and a wing with rice, a side salad and corn tortillas. Plus a 2 piece meal for my girlfriend. The drive-​thru employee took 3 try’s to repeat the correct order back. After finally getting it right i pull forward to pay and get the food. On my way out my girlfriend checks the box and somehow the person got the order wrong. They gave us two two pieces with the wrong tortillas. I went back into the store where they gave me the right order. If i weren’t in a rush i would told the manager how bad they sucked to their face. The food made my girlfriends stomach hurt, mine was ok. Its mind numbing trying to communicate with these people. Its funny to think they want 15 dollars an hour. How bout we reserve those wages for people that do a good job like at In and Out and Chipotle.

Food is always good and prompt. Minus 1 star because mgt does not keep the restrooms super clean and long delays between table wipe downs. I’ve left a cup of water w lemon at lunch as seen same cup on count ed at 5pm.

As far as fast food goes, I love El Pollo Loco. This is a favorite location when I am visiting my folks. It sits on this corner that makes it a little weird to get in and out of but it consistently serves good food and is clean, with a nice staff.
Again, this IS fast food people but my favorite here is the Avocado Quesadilla or the Pollo Bowl. I can’t get beyond these two items as I love them so much.

So I wanted to say thank you to the kind mgr. that did me a solid favor about 1.5 months ago. It’s good to know that good people are still around. It wasn’t anything crazy, but I had just lost my card without realizing and was on dinner break from school. I found it in school parking lot and went back to pay. I was so taken back by his act of kindness. Don’t go do this just to get free food because that’s not what I’m trying to shine light on. It is the fact that he as a mgr cared that I would have dinner before returning to school for the next 3 hrs. Thanks .
Only reason I gave 4 stars is because on occasion they have messed up my order and with a 30 min dinner I can’t do much about it. Either way good job guys and gals!

Seriously amazing fast food restaurant. The service is outstanding and the food is perfect. Very clean!!! Is hard to find good customer service but here they knowledge you and are extremely friendly. This is my first time dinning in and would not be my last. Great job pollo loco, best location!

I brought my lil dude here a few minutes after they opened because he was hangry. We had just finished an oil change next door and he had been bugging me to bring him here for weeks. He’s a fan of their kids meals. They changed them up though. They no longer offer chicken nuggets! The guy who helped us was super nice, I think he might’ve been a manager, I asked if he could get a cheese quesadilla instead and he said yes. My son is picky, ugh. I don’t know where he gets that from. Anyway he was also hungry so I ordered him an extra side. After he gets out of the pool he turns into an eating machine.
Another Unilocaler complained that they no longer have kids meals on the menu. They do. They’ve had them on the counter menu for at least 6 months, maybe longer. It’s the same menu that shows you the sides and desserts. It’s right there next to the register where you pay, but maybe it was just an excuse to complain.
I like that they more than one flavor of unsweetened brewed tea here. The passion mango black tea is really good. I hate eating at places that only have soda.
I ordered one of the Ranchero bowls. It was good. Some of the other reviewers noted that bowls can be skimpy with chicken, but maybe I came on a good day because mine had a lot. I drowned it their fiery hot sauce because I like my food a little spicy. I tried not to be bothered by the sight of my son wolfing down two containers of Mac & cheese. You could see the steam rising out of them, but he was not to be deterred. He was a boy on a mission. I asked him if it was good and he nodded and kept going.
We also ordered two churros for dessert. They sell them 2 for $ 1.29. I think they used to be 2 for $ 1. They were a bit of a disappointment. They tasted oily, not as good as they used to be. I’d probably skip these next time.
The service was good, as it has always been when we come in here. I’ve never used the drive thru here, so I can’t speak to that. I’ve never had any issues with our orders being wrong either.

I go to this El Pollo Loco location for convenience since it’s so close to the office that I work at. The food is very good and it seems freshly made every time. However, about every other time that I order food from this location, my order is incorrect or they’ve skimped on an ingredient. Once I ordered an avocado chicken burrito only to find that there wasn’t any avocado in the burrito at all. I’ve also had avocado left out of the chicken black bean bowl (typically, they throw in about four or five pieces of avocado). There have been other times that I received the wrong menu item, altogether. It’s a first-​world problem, I know, but it can be pretty frustrating, especially when your order consists of one item and it’s very simple to understand.

Normally I don’t eat at El Pollo Loco but after much positive advice I knuckled under. First I’d like to advise the staff here are cordial and pleasant. I was also happy to see that both the interior and exterior patio were very clean. I was disappointed to see that the new menu appears much smaller than I remember (haven’t visited in ages). The new menu no longer has soft serve ice cream, the original chicken burrito or a kids menu. Luckily they have added hand carved chicken salads.
I opted for the Hand Carved Avocado Salad.
The salad was underwhelming but good with the cilantro dressing. It was made-​up of lettuce, sliced chicken breast, 2 wedges avocado (nicely sized), diced tomatoes and yellow corn.
My lunch partner ordered the Poblano Avocado Burrito. We asked if the corn could be left off the burrito and we were advised, «no». The burrito was filled with diced chicken, a large amount of rice and yellow corn (got carbs?), a sparse amount of beans, cheese and poblano sauce. Needless to say after a few bites the burrito wasn’t eaten.
If you’re a fan of yellow corn you’ll love this place as corn is the predominate filler in a majority of their menu items.
Also, beware of the parking at this location it’s difficult to enter/​exit, and the parking spaces are awkwardly positioned.

I hadnt stopped by any El pollo Loco since around ’07 because I’m more of a KFC person. I moved RIGHT next door to this pollo loco in february and my boyfriend and I come here about once a month. The food is tasty and the staff is always REALLY nice. I think its a very nice place.

First off, I love el pollo loco. The guy working just couldn’t give two shits about customer service. I came in with a mobile coupon for their new shrimp menu and he told me they couldn’t accept it because it wasn’t printed out. I’ve never had an issue with it before… Then I tried to order a shrimp quesadilla (the sign in their store says they have it) and he told me they don’t offer a shrimp quesadilla. I pointed out the sign and he still told me they didn’t have them. I settled on the shrimp tacos which were great and came out quickly but would have been happier if they would have honored the coupon.

I was starving and had only 20 minutes to grab lunch so came through the Pollo Loco drive thru and ordered the Poblano Avocado Burrito. When I received my order it felt so heavy, I couldn’t wait to chow down on fire-​grilled chicken, avocado, rice, pinto beans, flame-​grilled corn, melted jack cheese and mild poblano chile salsa in a grilled tortilla. I quickly unwrapped one end of the burrito and took my first bite… I got a mouth full of beans. Ok that is understandable. I took my 2^nd bite… another mouth full of beans. I was beginning to wonder if I had received the wrong order. I took a 3^rd bite and this time, I got a mouth full of beans, rice and a huge piece of cilantro that still had the stem on it!!! I’m not sure why someone wouldn’t chop the cilantro before adding it to food. No one wants to see stems and twigs.
What a disappointment. I ended up splitting it in half and starting from the middle. I did find the piece of avocado I was craving, it was hiding in the middle of this burrito. If I ever have to go there again, I will stick to their salads so I can see what I am biting into.

Clean and fresh food always. Sometimes. Seems like the orders don’t come as you asked though but they always correct it with a smile!

The crazy chicken strikes again!
This location has only been opened for a week now, and it is putting a lot of smile on the locals faces. When I arrived to dine it, I was greeting very nicely and given a small tour of the place. I ordered the Avocado Bacon Bowl with grilled white chicken, rice, pinto beans, avocado slices, bacon, and salsa with corn tortillas and a small iced tea for $ 7.29. (
) I also ordered a side of corn tortilla chips with guacamole for $ 2.49.
The bowl was good and the chicken was tender and tasted good, (
) but I just wished they would put more chicken into the bowl. After I dug in and made a couple of tacos with the corn tortillas, (
) the chicken was basically gone except for a few small pieces. Everything from the pinto beans and rice were cooked and seasoned well. Other than the chicken being scarce, the rest of the ingredients were abundant. The bacon added some textural balance and the avocados slices were ripe and creamy.
The tortilla chips were good and abundant (
), and the guacamole was fresh but a little over salted. (
) I used the tortilla chips to eat the rest of bowl’s ingredients after my two corn tortillas disappeared. Overall I am giving Pollo Loco 3 stars for the food, but and additional star for the exceptional service. I was offered a refill at the self serve dispenser, my tray was food was taken to my seat and my tray was picked after I was finished, and I was offered coupons for future visits. This location has seating inside and outside, (
) and a drive thru.
However, please put more chicken in the bowls so my smile goes from ear to ear…
