Currently finishing up my meal with my fiancé, I got one word for you. SALSA. Holy cow. I got the sausage and egg breakfast. Ordered my eggs over easy and my home fries extra crispy. Mixed the eggs, potatoes and salsa all up. Best decision ever :) Fiancées chocolate chip pancakes were amazing! Service was fantastic too. Will be back.

The eggs benedict turkey avocado was great. The creamer was expired and curdled in the coffee. Besides that the meal was excellent. Loved the hollandaise sauce!

I would have given this place 4 star, but left scratching our head since we paid more than what we owed. Too lazy to drive back and ask the server about our bill. The only explanation is maybe she added tip, but still way overcharged. Anyways, loved the food and the ambiance. Oldies music playing in the background. The vibe of the diner is more Americana. My BF Tim is a country boy and reminded him of home. They serve American, Mexican and Greek food as well. We ordered calamari for appetizer. It came with pita bread, marinara and tzatziki sauce, olives, and what seems likes a small side salad. Calamari was really tender. And pita bread was nice and warm. I ordered the rib eye steak and Tim got the lamb shank. Both were really tasty. He was really wowed by the lamb shank. It was falling of the bone. My ribeye had a good char flavor, but was thin like Carne Asada. We also both got Greek salad, veggie and mashed potatoes and gravy for our sides.

A cute diner in beautiful La Mesa. This ain’t no fancy place but the service was on point and the food was good. Not a long wait for a table. Came here for breakfast and had French Toast with bacon and eggs. The french toast was alright but the regular white toast was really good. Tupac had the chance to have dinner here and enjoyed the meatloaf. He bragged about how delicious it was. Overall, I’ll return here to have breakfast, lunch and dinner.

For first timer I liked it. Service is great and fast Good quality I can rate from 1 – 10 it is a 8 so I would come back. What I liked about this café is that they do not just have one type of option of food wise, meaning they have Mexican, seafood, Mediterranean etc… It was defiantly a good choice. I only came because of a Unilocal friend I have that has reviewed this place as well :-) you won’t be upset Our server JOANNA was amazingly friendly and made my friend and I feel welcomed with her smile

This joint wins for breakfast. It’s the classic home cooking American Diner. The staff was pleasant, our waitress was very nice and the food was well made. I can’t speak to the other meals but if you’re looking for a great traditional breakfast spot this is a fine choice. Keep in mind that this place is what it is. It’s a diner. Don’t expect some fancy ass hipster food. Put the kale down and pick up that greasy spoon!

Visited today for the first time around 11 for some brunch. They were pretty busy this morning. I ordered the waffles with fruit and my boyfriend ordered the country fried steak. Overall the food was good. Nothing too amazing in my personal opinion but my boyfriend really enjoyed his food. The customer service is really excellent also. Very polite and they seemed to have steady clientele(mostly older folks)

Patty’s is by far one of my favorite breakfast places in the area. Found this while driving around next to a donut shop we like. Patty’s has great portions and fair prices. Patty’s has awesome variety from Greek options to Mexican and Italian. It is a good quality café and makes me wish I was not on a diet or budget! Great food. Excellent for families and couples

Had the Denver omelet with hash browns. The omelet was ok, it was a bit over cooked and too crispy in certain sections. The hash browns were GREAT. I think I can say I’ve never had better hash browns in all my years of living on this planet earth. Lol. Jk. Yes they were good. Service was very polite and fast. Give it a try. Total bill was $ 14 for the plate and an orange juice.

Oldies music. Classic, local vibe. Something you’d see on «Breaking Bad» before a juxtaposed, suspenseful scene. Pleasant waitresses offer a menu filled with American, Mexican, and Greek influenced breakfast and lunch options. I order the bacon skillet with corn tacos on the side, which could easy double as «breakfast fajitas». Comes with salsa on the side and scrabbled eggs on top. Before I pickup my fork and knife, I can help but notice the fresh rose on the table in the middle of January — a final reminder that vacation has set in and I’m not in Columbus, Ohio anymore! Food is truly amazing. Will be telling my San Diego friends about Patty’s.

I’ve only been here for breakfast. My boyfriend likes it because he doesn’t really like breakfast foods and can order their kebabs instead. He had the chicken kebab with fries. I snuck some tastes and found it to be really good! Especially the fries– they season them with an Old Bay like seasoning. I got the sausage, eggs and biscuits and gravy. It was tasty but the sausage wasn’t quite as seasoned as this southern girl expects. The home fries had a nice crunch to them. Overall, a great meal for decent prices. I’d recommend it. Just be prepared for busy times on a Sunday.

Have eaten here twice after asking a cashier at a local grocery store which restaurant a man buying tons of fresh produce worked at. She told us Patty’s in La Mesa and we were there the next morning to try it out. Everything was delicious. Had the veggie frittata(which stayed very hot in the little pottery container) and the next time we visited, I had the pork chops and eggs which were cooked perfectly. This will become a regular rotation for sure. Excellent service both times.

First time I came here, I was searching for a diner after a coworker and I hiked Cowles Mt. Since then he’s been asking me «when are going back to Patty’s?» Well, he flaked on me last Monday but my niece hiked with me instead. She suggested to grab a bite and Patty’s is the only place nearby I can think of with a good breakfast/brunch menu. Servings are share-worthy to say the least.

Wow, can’t believe yesterday was the first time I went here! Wonderful experience! First, our server Joanna was AWESOME! So friendly, bubbly, and when I asked if we could get separate checks(2 couples, 2 singles), she said with a smile«I was going to ask about that». That was pretty cool. I ordered a Greek chicken/gyros salad and it was pretty large and very good. The dressing was different than what I am used to — maybe almost a Caesar? But it was really tasty. The gyros and chicken were both cooked to perfection. Pita was warm and soft. The other folks at my table all enjoyed their meals. One had the same as I did(took half to go, like I did) and another lady had the gyros plate, ate it all, which she said she usually doesn’t do. One of the group had a club sandwich w/onion rings and both were really impressive. DEFINITELY worth a return visit(or many). Nice prices, great food, and amazing service. How can you go wrong?

Thank you Unilocal for helping me find this little gem! Looking for breakfast after our cowles mountain morning, and the cowles mountain café was closed, we found this place. DON’T BETURNEDAWAYBYTHEOUTSIDEAPPEARANCE! We pulled up, and would have left, but we were starving, so decided to just walk in, and if it was dingy, we would leave. Obviously we stayed and so glad we did! Super cute little place, fresh flowers on the tables, and in the bathroom, which was cute and very clean. The hostess and waitress were both top notch, and kept our coffee hot and full! The menu made it difficult to choose 1 thing. I went with the gyro omelet and was very happy with my choice.. Perfection. My friend had steak and eggs and loved it! Perfectly cooked, delicious. We decided to go do cowles again this weekend in an afternoon just so we can come for lunch!

I came for the four stars on Unilocal.I’ll come back for the clean restaurant, friendly service and great food. My kalamata omelette was so good I couldn’t bring myself to taint it with Tabasco sauce. The menu has Greek, Mexican and American food, so if you can’t find something you like, you have bigger issues than a good meal will cure.

I was surprised by this place to be honest. I don’t like the idea of a restaurant having more than one type of cuisine. Like this place is Greek, Mexican, and American. Has me concerned and the location as well. But, the food was great the service was great. A good place for vegetarians, not much of a selection but still a decent amount to choose from.

I frequent this restaurant on Fridays to eat a great lunch and do payroll. They are across the street from my office. My daughter is a vegan and she works with me, so she has several good options here wich I love! Patty is working alongside her staff daily and always has a welcoming smile. Busy place!

New favorite breakfast place! Went here with bae a few days ago due to great reviews on Unilocal! We wanted to go somewhere new. I loved this place!!! And I loved that it wasn’t crowded! I got the country Benedict, one of my favorite dishes. It’s been a long time since I had some very good hashbrowns. They were fresh and cooked perfectly! Service was also wonderful! I cannot wait to go back here next weekend! :) New favorite spot for sure! :)

This is a decent spot for a quick, hearty meal. It’s not the sleekest, most modern, or most creative place, but it gets the job done. We went specifically for breakfast, having spent the morning in La Mesa for some other errands. It’s located in a strip mall, next to a local bar. No pomp, nothing fancy, but the menu is pretty large, and the service was fast, if not exactly friendly. I ordered a very simple breakfast of biscuits and gravy, which came with eggs, potatoes and sausage patties. My husband ordered the carne asada skillet, which consisted of carne meat cooked with eggs, potatoes and veggies in a skillet(thank you, Captain Obvious!) My meal was decent. There was a lot of food in front of me, and I couldn’t finish everything. It didn’t blow me away, but then again, it’s biscuits and gravy. I don’t expect to be blown away by something so basic. My husband really enjoyed his breakfast, saying that the meat was surprisingly delicious, and that the skillet came together well. The coffee was good, as well, and they got the food to us quickly. It wasn’t horribly-priced, and they have a menu board that shows their daily specials, but… eh. Not sure I’d make the drive out to La Mesa to eat here again. It just didn’t really make that much of an impression on me.
